The location set in the countryside was exceptional. The service and care from the team at the Hotel was first rate, nothing was too much trouble. Sorting out a small problem efficiently and promptly.

Although I did book the small double room, it was very tight and someone of a larger build and less mobile might have struggled. However, for the one night it was comfy, clean and had all you would expect from a good hotel.

The setting was beautiful. The decor was very tastefull. Not at all disneyfied. Or over the top. We had a small room, which was fine for us on an overnight. but may not suit larger built people. Breakfast was great, good selection. We had to have early breakfast. This was catered for without any issues.

Was all good. Nothing negative to say. Will definitely visit again.

There are no negatives for this beautiful place in the heart of the countryside. The hotel was spacious, clean, and well presented. Staff were very polite and attentive at all times. Bedrooms were clean and well kept. Gardens were also well kept and peaceful with plenty of outside seating for a cosy evening chat. Will definitely return.

Although we didn’t deal with Sam as much, mainly Charles. Honestly, amazing person and a real hard worker, friendly, reliable, nothing was too much hassle. Great service. Great welcome with very friendly staff. Clean spacious room with excellent bed. Lovely grounds to walk around. Breakfast was excellent choice and quality.

On a very hot day/night it was warm in the room. As a lively old house realise the difficulty of cooling the rooms and it was an exceptionally warm period.

We loved our room. We booked a smaller room, but the hotel has given us a larger room with the same price and they said it was as a compliment. We celebrated our 25th there. The room was clean and bigger. All facilities. The bathroom was excellent. All modern fittings. Loved the service. Sam was an excellent staff. Always asked about our satisfaction. Helped take photos :D. Both dinner and breakfast were great! I would recommend this hotel.

There was nothing I did not like. Everything was just beyond our expectations. Location, room, dining area, lounge, food. All perfect. A good place to go with families.

Amazing location, bathroom was really modern, service was great - Charles and Tom were lovely and made sure you had everything you might need (especially loved the 'check in' sheet in the evening, to check everyone was home safe and sound)

The only thing we struggled with was that with it being an older building the sound travelled - it wasn't so bad you couldn't sleep, but it was noticeable

We loved our stay at Glewstone, it was a beautiful place and delicious food but what really made it stand out was the wonderful friendly team of staff who were dedicated to making sure everyone was brilliantly looked after. Highly recommended!

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding in Ross on Wye. We requested a very early check in which we knew would be difficult and this was explained to us, however we were told we could leave bags and car on site. When we arrived we were greeted by Sam, who is a natural host, he made us feel very welcome and comfortable, genuinely 20/10 for service and hospitality! Sam informed my wife and I that they had managed to get the room ready for us which was above and beyond what they needed to do for us. Showed us to our room and made sure we were aware of all the important information. We left and didn't get back until late but Sam explained how to get back in and to sign in so they knew we got home safe which is a nice touch. Excellent
