We were made welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone we met was lovely and Hilary was marvellous. As many reviews say the breakfasts are phenomenolly good and easily fueled us for the whole day. The welcome gifts in the suite of cider cake and bottles of cider were a lovely touch. Cake is delicious. Accommodation was compact, but comfortable and well equipped. The en-suite is lovely, although confined. No problem for us but some our stockier friends may have found it less easy. The location is great and walks around the orchard are lovely. We even saw a stag close up in one. Overall it was just the high quality break we needed. Definitely will be going back. Thank you to Hilary and team.

Leaving! It was a wrench leaving we cannot remember having such a fantastic short break. To be aware the single track access road is full of potholes so care is needed. The plus side to that is there was no traffic racing through using it as a shortcut meaning it maintained the peace and tranquility.

This working cider farm is set in idyllic views of Herefordshire right near to Ross on Wye. The orchards are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, clean and there are so many amenities included. The breakfast is exemplary, Hilary will make you anything you like, I usually have a full English one day and an omelette with smoked salmon the following day. She makes her own jams, has loads of awards for her baking, and is the perfect host. She remembered us from over a year ago. Her cider cake and tiffin are to die for! The beds are comfortable you can tell no expense has been spared. They're not listed on booking.com but she also has 2 cabins aswell as the rooms. She will even bake you things to take home. Just give her enough time and her prices are very reasonable. Also, we forgot the dog bed and Hilary rang us and actually posted it back to us! I have never met a host as warm and genuinely kind as Hilary

Nothing, everything was perfect

We stayed in a self contained room next to the house. The room was spacious, warm, huge bed, lovely big bathroom and excellent shower. We had our own fridge, stocked with some cider, water and fresh milk . We had tea and coffee, plus a coffee maker. Hilary had given us a huge, delicious cider cake - enough for a family of 6! The breakfast was lovely - well cooked, good choice, full English breakfast or any combination or scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Lovely fresh berries yoghurt and cereal. Hilary was warm and hospitable and was knowledgeable about the local area. We had a lovely stroll through the orchards to the local put which sold delicious pizzas. The farm is only a couple of miles from Ross on Wye. All in all - a very good choice ! Thank you.

My only complaint was that the breakfasts were huge and I felt I had to eat everything on my plate! I am now on diet.

We stayed in the Deluxe king room. It was huge and very tastefully decorated, including a SUPER king bed. The ensuite was well laid out and also spacious, included a free standing bath. The place was spotlessly clean with up market linen and towels. Hillary and Clare were the best of hosts. Always attentive but never overwhelmingly so. We were greeted with some lovely home made tasty morsels in our fridge on arrival and a couple of bottles of local cider. A very nice touch. The breakfasts were exemplary. Very highly recommended !

The whole stay was perfect

Hilary welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable. There were cakes (delicious, home made) and cider (local brew) in the room for us to enjoy. We were encouraged to walk around the extensive orchard (much appreciated by our dog) with an accompanying map. The breakfast was excellent. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and close to Ross on Wye but you do need a car for the short journey.

Need to watch your head on the side (A) beams in the bedroom.

First we loved the location on a cider orchard in beautiful countryside and away from roads and noise. The scenery is fantastic. It’s just a walk through the orchard to the pub also run by the family. It that serves good beer plus the farm’s excellent cider and good food. Hilary the B&B host is just fantastic, she provides everything you could wish for but it’s the breakfast that is the star of the show. I have never had a better full English breakfast in my many decades of travelling. Home made butter and jams, complete the spread. Superb!

Nothing at all

Breakfast was outstanding. Everything you could wish for to set you up for a day of hiking was supplied in abundance, and the cake in our room was delicious too. The ciders in the fridge kept the outstanding theme going, so we ventured to the Yew Tree pub where we found a stunning array of ciders produced at Broome Farm . Again, our evening meal at this pub was perfect. It left us satisfied after a very long local day of hiking.

Wonderful host owners - very welcoming and thoughtful - delicious breakfast including homemade Muffins and very generous and varied breakfast options - from Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to vegetarian and full English breakfasts - beautiful fresh ingredients - we had farm cider waiting for us in the fridge and also homemade cider cake - A short walk through orchard to nearby pub - spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and every creature comfort was thought of - thank you - We loved our stay!

We have nothing negative to say about the property.

It was like going home, Hilary thoroughly spoilt us from breakfast to Cream Tea, charity event we were lucky to attend, to bringing cake home for my husbands birthday. Location was wonderful, walking around the orchards was peaceful and knowledgeable. Local walks interesting but not to arduous. Great pizza, cider and real ales at family run pub, 10 min walk. Everything was just wonderful for a full weekend away. We will be back.

We arrived at Broome Farm to a friendly greeting from Hillary and stayed in an upstairs apartment with its own entrance and beautiful double-aspect views across the valley.....great for bird watching! The compact kitchenette included a good selection of beverages, along with biscuits and a delicious cider apple cake to welcome us. The fridge also contained milk and cider, which was a nice surprise. Breakfast included a great selection of cereals, fresh fruit, home-made preserves and a delicious cooked breakfast made with local produce. Additionally, Hillary surprised us with cinnamon swirls and croissants, along with the kind offer of pancakes on shrove Tuesday and a lovely box of chocolates on Valentine's Day. We would highly recommend Broome Farm, which is ideally situated for walking and exploring the Ross on Wye area.
