Friendly staff and easy check-in/ check-out. Comfortable room with an amazing mountain view. Hot water in the shower, which is nice because it can be a bit chilly up there! Kitchenette was perfect (microwave, coffee maker, some basic dishes).

The amazing view comes with the added cost of getting to/from town - we tried walking, but had a dangerous encounter with an aggressive dog. We tried the local bus, but it's a long wait (and you'd have to pass the crazy dog first). The best option is a taxi, but this is $10 each way. Also, the restaurant 'on site' is actually a steep 5min hike away, which is totally do-able but not fun if it's raining! I'd still highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is a “best kept secret”. Perched high above a mountain valley, every room has an incredible view and a porch/deck to sit on to take it in. The property is nicely kept- with gardens and walking paths and have a huge variety of bird life. The rooms themselves are cozy and clean- with the big windows you can watch the clouds pass by from your bed. This hotel was a last minute addition to our itinerary in Panama, but we are so glad we stayed. It is located outside of El Valle (ie not easily walkable from the town) and up an incredibly steep driveway (was worried my Yaris wouldn’t make it- but it had no problem!) but it is very worth it.

Wow, Wow, Wow. This was certainly a unique hotel experience. Perched off the ridge of a mountain, with shipping containers for rooms, this setting and views were spectacular. Small hotel so easy check-in, friendly staff, small but very well appointed rooms with two walls of windows for the amazing views, nice balcony area, and mountain views all around. Not much else on the mountain but Las Nubas restaurant on the top (but we loved it so much we ate there again even when we stayed at another hotel in the Valley). Even though it is somewhat isolated (and can be very windy at night) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend for 1-2 nights, or longer if you don't mind a 15 min drive up and down the mountain. We loved it!

I loved everything.

The view from the garden suite is perfect. We didn’t regret not booking the mountain view suite because you can see mountains from all sides. The experience of staying in the shipping containers was so fun, but do note that there are heavy winds at night so bring ear plugs. The staff were so wonderful, very friendly and helped us organize a waterfall hike and drive down to the town. We loved eating at the restaurant Las Nubes close by and it was convenient to have breakfast there. Very peaceful experience and nice to have a bathroom attached, although expect a bit of dirt on the floor of the room. The complementary coffee was a nice touch to enjoy from the balcony with a view.

Luis was amazing! He was very kind, welcoming and attentive to any and all questions. He gave great trips on hiking trails & where to eat. Staying in a shipping container was on my wish list. Nomada Republic delivered! The rain was epic!

Stayed in June 2024. They were still working out some kinks but they were working hard to remedy them. The drive in from the main road is very very steep. Our rental car struggled a bit to make it up. We did make it though, even in the rain. The restaurant just up the hill is amazing but be prepared to pay US/Euro fine dining prices.

The location is amazing, the staff was there waiting for me, they gave me all the instructions, the room had a wonderful view, the night was windy so it was quite noisy despite being in the montains! My room had coffee maker that I used, A/C, TV and all bathroom amenities. They offer breakfast service in the restaurant Las Nubes, just a short walk up to the hill, they were very kind!

This is not related to the hotel but important for people traveling: the road to get there is not in the best conditions, there are many potholes but is doable.

The hotel’s located just 15 minutes away from the town which is very convenient. The reason we booked nómada republic was for the views and we were not disappointed! It’s located at the top of a hill, and all the rooms have an uninterrupted view of the valley and mountains around it. Had an amazing time.

It was very windy at night and the wind was very loud, had a bit of trouble sleeping because I’m a light sleeper. We lost WiFi and electricity in the morning, maybe because of the wind, but we didn’t mind. I’d 100% go here again, it was very much worth it.

The view is incredible!!! We saw a sloth and Toucans in the trees in front! It's a bit surreal to be on top a this cloud forest, yes it's humid, yes it was one day windy but that's exactly why this place is special and has to be seen!!

The only restaurant near by is a bit expensive but after we went to eat in el Valle de Anton! The street has some holes, have to drive carefully to get there but worth it, beautiful!!!

Design, Location in the mountains, view, tranquility, atmosphere. The food at the (only) restaurant up there was delicious, but it’s not included in the price. In order to have this remote and calm location, you should be aware of the steep and bumpy road to get there. We did it with a regular rental car and it was okay, but we would recommend to do the first ride at daylight.

You cannot open the window in the bathroom, that’s why it gets a bit humid in the container (the room is basically a rebuilt container). Also, there could be more space to hang / put clothes and things.

This unique hotel was worth every dollar, the view from the room was incredible. The restaurant is just a little walk uphill, with more amazing views.

The road the the hotel was in not a great condition. Very steep parts with a lot of holes in it. I would recommend to go there with a SUV or a 4x4. You need to be a confident driver to go up there, especially in the dark.
