This was an amazing stay, never been Thailand was located in the old town where it’s a short 10 minute walk from a local strip of bars and restaurants and if you wanted a drink or club you can get a cheap taxi to walking street

The only downside would be not letting you know about a 5000 baht deposit, it has this information no where do we were surprised when we were asked for it so be aware

Basically whilst I was visiting Thailand to spend time with family in Bangkok over Christmas I decided to have a little side adventure by myself. I am 78 and carry a walking stick these days. I like to cruise so I booked myself a cruise on the "SS Pullman G" moored at Pattaya, deliberately going nowhere The cruise was everything expected I was able to unwind and relax and give the family a break and was plied with good company, comfortable accommodations and good food as required. I choose the Lanai suites with direct access to one of the 3 x 25 metre pools adjacent.

Hotel rooms typically have many light bulbs and not so much light. So it was with the ss Pullman G, old eyes need a little light or at least the option of having it. The centralised light and services (TV and Air Con) module was splendidly convoluted. A challenged mastered in the end.

The staff were exceptional. Bank and Aya were the first two to greet us and they were responsive to our needs all week. The beach club was fabulous. Great food and Summer provided great serviced ensuring we were never left thirsty. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Lots of choice and always fresh.

The resort is listed as a 5-star but the rooms are looking a little tired and I would rate them closer to a 3 star. However, we didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms, so this was not a big problem for any of us.

The staff and the facilities

The beach and water were dirty and full of rubbish, my wife stepped on glass and cut her foot.

Connecting rooms were great. Well located in family friendly area with lots of convenience stores and food options nearby. Breakfast was great with lots of local options but also enough to satisfy those who want a western breakfast (not me!).

No loungers on beach or with view, instead "day beds" that required minimum spend for guests and therefore were less than half utilised and by lots of people who didn't look like they were spending anyway. Too few umbrellas by pool. Also I would have liked to have seen complimentary water sports eg SUP etc....again I feel it's cheap when a "classy" hotel charges for these. I knew the beach wasn't going to be amazing bit it was very kind of meh sand and water quality wise. That said it was nice to relax for a few days after Bangkok.

Spent 18 days at pullman G Pattaya, had a great experience also spent last year there aswell. The hotel is amazing right on the beach, breakfast every morning on the water. We always had Leo mong and Peter down there looking after us, thanks boys can't wait to see you guys again. To the cleaners cleaning the rooms amazing and kind. To the staff at reception very kind and sweet. Security guards were always help carrying my dad back to his room after he had a few drinks, Thanks guys. The gardener's were kind aswell and the gardens were beautiful. All the staff in the kitchen and serving thanks so much for your beautiful food and amazing service.The bar staff amazing coctails. Your country is amazing, and thai people are kind and beautiful, always helpful. I think the staff is what makes the pullman such a great place to stay. Every thing was great

The breakfast caters for all tastes and we were treated to the International Seafood Buffet on the Saturday night that provided the highest level of quality and freshness, as well as superb sea views from the Beach Club.

Some improvement could be made to the acoustic performance of the doors, but this is more a reflection on inconsiderate guests rather than the hotel itself. Every shout and banging of doors in the atrium could be heard from the room, but you would be hard pushed to eliminate the level of noise from screaming kids. Teaching them some consideration would be a good solution.

Good location, right on the beach. Pleasant area. A beautiful children's room with a cinema. Good swimming pools. Spacious beautiful hall.

Very high humidity in the room. All the clothes and things were wet. Even the pills in packs were soaked. The smell of dampness in the room. The hotel is old, needs a renovation.

5-star location by the beach. Every member of staff was so attentive from check-in to check-out. Reception, breakfast service, and housekeeping staff were fantastic.

From 5-star location to 3-star hotel. In reality, it was a high volume, all-inclusive type of hotel with packed pools, a free for all rampage at breakfast, and guests grabbing sunbeds at sunrise! The room was basic, and the room air conditioning temperature control did not work properly. It was either very cold or you had to turn it off to warm up. The amenities were basic, and the toilet paper quality was not 5 stars.

I loved the breakfast, variety of different dishes. I liked the afternoon tea and evening cocktail hours. Some executive rooms were included in the package. Not premium rooms. Good yoga class, good gym room. Very spacious. Its a beautiful resort.

Pool closed at 8pm, could close at 9pm. Kids just want to play a little longer. Beach was horrible, too much rock, shells extremely difficult to walk on. Overall not so nice beaches. But I suppose Pullman beach area was the best. Overall wong amat, jomtien beaches are not so nice.
