I am not sure there is a more friendly hotel staff than this team. Clean and comfortable. Easy access to freeway. Breakfast varied each day. Wifi was surprisingly good.

In our king room, the the bathroom staging area (sink, mirror, bright mirror lights) were part of the bedroom with the toilet/shower in their own room. Not possible to use the staging area without waking up the rest of the room occupants. Also, there is an adult sex toy shop right next to the hotel which I suppose is good or bad depending on your point of view. For us, it is a bad look.

As a germaphobe, I hate staying in hotels. Cleanliness is key when I look for a hotel to stay at, even if I have to pay a little more. However, The Phoenix Inn was not the most expensive hotel in town, but it did have the highest ratings. I took a chance and went with the ratings. At the time of making my reservation through Booking.com, I indicated that I preferred a walk-in shower if available. Not more than five minutes after I booked the room, I got a call from the hotel. She I formed me that a walk-in shower was not available, but she did have a shower/tub with lots of grab bars. I really appreciated that someone even bothered to read the additional comments, I honestly wasn’t expecting that. I got one of the best nights of sleep there than I have gotten in a long time.

The only things that would have made my stay better was a hair dryer that worked and automatic front doors. There was a hair dryer in the room, but it wouldn’t turn on even after verifying that the outlet work. I am disabled, so it is sometimes difficult for me to open heavy doors. Not having automatic doors was especially problematic when I was trying to bring the luggage cart into the building. I think bringing a luggage cart through manually opening doors is difficult for anyone, disabled or not.

We stayed here for 7 nights, and NOTHING could have been better. The staff was great, and since I shared my name with Cyndi, the evening front desk help, I had several wonderful conversations. We were greeted everyday we left and came back. We had a wonderful, QUIET room back in the corner with two nice comfortable beds, and a seating area, the room was nice and cool when needed as well as warm too; amenities were great; breakfast was lovely multiple mornings, and it just was everthing we needed. (a GREAT rate too.)

It was aall great.

Bed was great! Room was apportioned well, and great size.

Coffee maker was crap, suggest using pod style units. MORE ELECTRICAL RECEPTACLES! At least more placed accessibly. Receptacle in bedside lamp is neat, but phone charger would not fit correctly so had to pull out bedside unit to reach wall receptacle. Plus I use a CPAP unit that also requires power at the same side of the bed. Also, needed more receptacles at exec desk unit to plug in computer, plus other needed items. Also, Ice Machine on my floor was out of service the entire stay making it difficult to just run grab some ice. Had to go to other floors to get ice.

We needed a place to pause during our long road trip that was kid- and dog-friendly, and the Phoenix Inn Albany was definitely that. They were very welcoming at check-in, and even supplied a doggie goodie bag with extra cleanup bags and a treat. Location was convenient for travel and not far from dining options. I even walked the dog to a nearby large park. And the pool and hot tub were just what we needed.

The layout of the room was a little odd, with a sink in the main suite detached from the bathroom area. This in itself wasn't bad, but the lights for the sink area were very bright, so were a little disruptive to those trying to sleep.

Front desk staff were friendly and kind. Exceptionally quiet. Room was spacious and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable with duvet cover. Bath towels were luxurious. Very large TV. Very comfortable leather couch. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choices and great coffee!

Cold water at sink trickled. I went to front desk and notified them. They didn’t apologize which was odd given such an exceptional property. They did offer room change which I declined as I was already settled in. Cable TV selection was very poor and limited along with an odd functioning remote. I inquired about guests visiting and was told they had to leave by 10:00pm. Reminded me of middle school curfew imposed by my parents. Very odd indeed.

that they were pet friendly no questions ask and I loved that check out was at noon so I got to sleep in andthat extra hour helped me out

I didn't like that I forgot to go through booking.com when I decided to book another night but I still paid $189 for the second night the room said it came with a mini bar so the description was a little misleading I. was expecting some alcoholic beverages but there was none so all in all I think it was just a little bit overpriced for one person I wonder if I could get credit from bo

This is a very nice hotel. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. They have biscuits and gravey for those of you who always wonder. It was quiet and the location is right off the freeway. No you can't hear the traffic. Pool and hot tub was nice to have. The staff is great and very helpful. I absolutely would stay here again!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Very nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was very good. I enjoyed that they provide a hot option and pastries that are different each day. Staff was friendly

Our toilet took a long time to flush and our sink had some draining issues but nothing too crazy. It's right off the highway which is nice for some people, but it's not my preference. Next to an adult shop and a Denny's.

Very nice & accommodating staff! Very clean! Good security measures in place - I felt very safe. The bed was comfy & I didn’t sink into the mattress like I do at other hotels - made me very happy! Layout of the room worked well. And the room temp was great - not too hot, not too cold & we didn’t need to turn on those annoying heating/ cooling units that typically run off & on all night & keep everyone from sleeping. We were on the I-5 side & I didn’t find the noise to be sleep disrupting- which I had worried about based on some other reviews. Overall very pleased & would stay here again.

My only suggestion is to up the game on their free breakfast. I found it very meh & a little disappointing. They did have a bowl of fresh apples which was nice. The eggs were runny, the pears were from a can, the OJ was watered down & there are no alternative/ plant milks for those of us who can’t do dairy (I asked). If you’re gf as well like me that only leaves the apple :-) and unappealing eggs :-/
