We really loved this hotel and the town of Independence. This was by far the best hotel experience we've had in quite a while and we stay in a lot of hotels. Nathan at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and engaging. The location of the hotel on the river and a short 2 blocks from restaurants was great. We enjoyed taking a drink up to the rooftop each evening and the very large and very hot, hot tub. The room had everything we needed, plenty of light, enough chairs, a comfortable bed, good water pressure, a make-up mirror and much more that is often lacking in hotels. We liked our stay so much that we are planning to go back in a couple of months. The town has good restaurants and the people were very friendly.

The bar could stay open a little later, but really there were no issues at all.

The proximity to the park and restaurants was perfect

We ended up staying in two different rooms because I extended a night. Both rooms were out of body wash in the showers, which is pretty minor, but a little annoying. One room was out of toilet paper, and I had to restock it and they just seemed under staffed. Breakfast was listed as exceptional, but it really was just a regular continental breakfast, and the poor people trying to run the front desk, were the same people trying to stock breakfast.

Beautiful location. We had a view of the river. The beds were very comfortable. I liked the shower products and the shower had great water pressure. The indoor jacuzzi was very hot, which I enjoyed compared most hotels that they are just warm. You do have to reserve the jacuzzi and only get 30 min. Having it private was nice.

We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was not good food. The drinks were pretty good, I had a cosmo. Breakfast was just average.

Spectacular location , right along the willamette river , wonderful water walkway, I appreciated they have an actual restaurant that serves a breakfast and or a dinner with river view dinning .. I did not use that service as it was not in my schedule but plan to next time I stay ,small old town with art galleries , dining , used book store clothing , second hand stores all within walking distance , can't wait to visit again , room was exceptional

I enjoyed the breakfast selections. Egg items could be labeled as to additions ie. cheese, vegetables etc. Bacon was good, but very salty. Lots of options for seating. It was a very quiet Sunday morning in Independence. Bonus points for having TMC as one of your TV channels!

Not much wrong. I should have asked for a room with a bathtub. My fault. The toilet paper was very skimpy. Towels were great. I know it is wine country, but appreciate a good IPA on the evening menu.

This hotel is a boutique gem sitting on the Wilamette River. The building, furnishings and amenities were all in top notch condition, thoughtfully designed and comfortable. A beautiful patio and rooftop deck provide views of the river. The dining options were tasty. This is a very relaxing get-away from the hustle and bustle location with a friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely plan to come back next year.

The breakfasts were nice, the staff was excellent and the dinners really good with an outside patio. Not particularly close to the airport, where we flew in, but ideal for downtown and the local restaurants.

Someone dropped something sticky on the carpet and the cleaning staff missed it. Not pleasant to step on in your socks! :)

Location

Need to check shower amenities and lightbulbs in lamps. Pillow had ink mark . Wall by bed needed to be wiped down , soiled. Finishing touches like paper towels or a dish towel would have helped. Tv instructions would be helpful. Balcony needed to be wiped down , spider webs.

Beautiful hotel that abounds with art and style. The location is also ideal for a small town getaway. Lots of restaurants and shops you can walk to. It is situated right next to the river with birds and deer all around. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet.

We were sad to find that the hot tub was not working, and there was no pool. We had also hoped to watch a DVD but there were no players. The buffet was extensive, but I happened to get there when all the breakfast meat and coffee were out, so I had to wait 10-15 minutes for those. I guess that happens in a large hotel. The staff kept working to make more.

I wish every hotel could be this hotel. Beautiful setting, cool town, great location, very nice staff, clean, awesome rooms, super breakfast. I loved this place! Great place and great town for a couple's get away weekend, and this hotel is impeccable.
