I honestly don't know how to explain the experience we had at Shanti Boutique Hotel. We were looking for a decent priced accommodation during high season (which is very hard on Koh Phangan) and chose this small hotel. Our expectation was exceeded. Mainly because of the amazing service that Tom (the hotel manager) delivers to his guests. This is not just guest service. He is doing whatever he can to help his guests and this makes it very special. We had some really bad health situation and I don't know what we would have done without him. Also the additional services which are not even stated on booking (such as one free Tuk-Tuk ride daily) Or you can use the premises of the "Pen-Pra-Jan-Villa" including the Pool which belongs to the Shanti Guesthouse. The room was really big, such as the beds (we had a Twin Room) and everything was so clean. It was perfect!

the guest house is right at the main road and yes, it's very loud during the day. There are many motorbikes passing the hotel. During the night is was quite and we were able to get a good night sleep. If you want to sleep in longer, you probably need ear-plugs in the morning but I guess people don't really stay in the hotel room when spending time on an island. Even I'm very sensible with noise, I would always chose the Shanti Boutique Hotel again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shanti Boutique Hotel on Phangan Island, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel's location is perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions and beautiful beaches. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, featuring incredibly comfortable and large beds that guarantee a restful night's sleep. I highly recommend Shanti Boutique Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable stay on Phangan Island.

The cleanest room I have even been in thailand, wc very clean, friendly staff, free tuk tuk 2 times a day, and free bike to use. The room was very confortable , probably the nicest rooms you will find in srithanu that are not cabans or resorts. Very very nice and will definitely come back there if I go to srithanu

There was black mold on the ceiling of the wc but the rest of the bathroom was so so clean that made up for it. The bed was so big that they sometimes they did not have big enough sheets for the bed so you had two sheets one on top of the other and with some long lasting stains, but you could notice the sheet was fresh clean.

A grea stay at Shanti. The staff were absolutely world class. Nothing was too much trouble and all spoke good english. It was like being with family in many ways. Good food from the kitchen too. A short walk to the gym, restaurants, massage etc. Free bicycles and a shuttle service to nearby beaches which was great. I cannot fault anything. Loved it. And sea view from room was a bonus. The staff really went the extra mile . We had appalling weather while we were there and we were sad to leave Shanti

Nothing. Everything was great. Maybe a couple more pillows in the room but most places in thailand are the same

All staff were great but only available from 8am to 5pm. Makes sense since the island doesn’t wake up until then anyway. Great views and quiet location at night. The free bicycles are not adjustable so can’t use them. The free tuk tuk service is great for the short distance they will bring you. The large bedrooms are great too with the balcony to dry clothes.

The hard beds. Incredibly hard mattresses really disrupted our sleep each night. Upgrading the beds would make this a 10/10

Service from the wonderful Mr Tom.... Very helpful and resourceful host. He did everything to ensure you had an enjoyable time. Free use of an electric scooter to get around the local vinicty was a nice bonus... The pool at the villa was nice, except one had to be careful getting in and out as they used the wrong tiles in the pool....

Obscure location set away from everything... The roads are a bit treacherous around the area with crazy drivers, large potholes, and sand.. You definitely needed your wits about you driving.. The bathroom wasn't great...at the

The best service I have ever received in any hotel. I was sick during my stay and had to go to a clinic. Tom, the manager at the front desk made sure I was taken care of and even had the hotel car take me to the clinic. When I was finished they went to pick me up. I will never forget their kindness and care. It's terrible to be sick while abroad, Shanti Hotel made me feel taken care of. All the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I loved the Island so much and will surely be back next year to stay at Shanti. Thanks so much for taking such good care of me.

The hotel has the most honestly nice and helpfull staff. The appartment was huge, well equipped (kitchen had toaster, water heater, even a coffee machine; but we didnt have to use the coffee machine it, as we had free instant coffee and tea). Yo can also rent a scooter at the hotel, whih is perfect for moving around the island. Free bottled water every day.

There were some problems with water, but I think I wasnt the hotel's fault, so I am giving 10/10.

Couldn’t not fault this hotel . Nice clean room with AC & water in the fridge . Nice quiet area , If you want to see around you would need to hire a bike . Although the hotel does provide 2 lifts per day in the tuk tuk which is a nice touch .. Mr Tom is very friendly , helpful and will assist anyway he can . staff is also very pleasant. Thank you shant for your help . we would not hesitate to return again . thank you for a great stay 😁

Tom is one of a kind! In Shanti hotel exceptional hospitality and service is provided. Tom goes over and beyond to make sure that you have a comfortable stay and all your needs are met. The room I stayed in was simple but had everything in it one would need, also for a longer stay. The hotel provides free tuk-tuk rides within 1km which I ended up using every day. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The hotel is located by street which at first glance may look that it would be noisy, but it is not - very quiet at night. I also never heard the neighbors from other rooms. Thank you tons, Tom, for your kindness and world’s best hospitality!
