Loved the design and cleanliness and available staff on WhatsApp (most times) and how we can book tickets to anything needed. Always tried to help. Loved morning yoga and pool.

These are super important: * location is good but super high there in the hill and it’s so dangerous for those who don’t really drive bikes. Also I came back with my bike around 10.30 pm and a dog attacked me on the way up the hill and I almost lost control over bike. * WiFi sometimes doesn’t work * Shower must be fixed! There’s no balance either cold water or super hot boiling water without option for just hot normal water. And the flow is very basic. * wish the drinks for guests in the morning would include ice tea - it’s Thailand and it’s hot after all

We loved the view from the very spacious apartment, the infinity pool and the very friendly assistance from the reception. We came in low season so the resort was quiet and peaceful.

The apartment we had was not finished and missed some elements Iike the shower cabin. We were not impressed with the kitchen extraction system - the cooking smells filled in the eating area. The unencrypted Internet was also not great. TV was not usable because of that.

I recently added my review to this wonderful resort, but I feel the need to add one more, to extend my gratitude to the amazing people who made my experience truly memorable. RECEPTION: Special thanks to Rein, Khine, Dao, Kevin, and Kanit (Resort Manager) for their professionalism, impeccable service and warm hospitality. They went above what I was expecting. For my standards, this was exceptional!

Amazing hotel, loved the pool and the view. Staff were very friendly and helpful/attentive. Rooms were a great size, beautifully decorated and clean. Especially loved the veranda and garden outside our room.

The major downside for me was the western food from restaurant, I feel the food really let down the resort and could massively be improved. The menu had good options and was reasonably priced, however the fried food tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while, and just wasn't great quality. I'm not sure what the Thai food was like as I didn't try it, but maybe I should have stuck with that! I feel that this resort could really excel if they got a new chef in and improved their food.

An amazing, quiet stay in the jungle with an incredible sunset view from the pool. The staff were super helpful — they offered free rides to the Secret Beach area and were always happy to assist, including the pool bar and restaurant team. The room was well maintained, and the whole experience gave me a real sense of peace in a lush, jungle setting — yet it’s still pretty close to everything. A very good balance between nature and convenience.

The noise isolation between rooms was decent but could be improved. The location isn’t super convenient if you don’t ride a motorbike — though that’s on me for not planning ahead. There were also quite a few mosquitoes around the pool area. I had an issue with the water temperature in the shower, which kept alternating between cold and warm. It took a few requests until it was properly fixed.

We had a fantastic 7 nights here, the hotel is set up a steep hill which is a challenge but the views make it worth the effort particularly from the infinity pool. The food was very good and the staff were all wonderful and couldn’t do more to make you feel welcome. The hotel is in a great location to explore, we hired a scooter but the local taxi (trucks) regularly run up and down the coast so it’s easy to get out and about. All in all a wonderful stay.

The hill! But it’s worth the effort.

Amazing service from super friendly and professional staff. Incredibly comfortable and very large rooms, very well air conditioned, and incredible views. The whole property is just beautiful, and the infinity pools are incredible, again with amazing views over the ocean. Loved that we could use one WhatsApp number for all requests - super efficient and helpful.

The resort is at the top of a long steep hill, which we were unable to navigate on foot, only because of health reasons. There is a free shuttle bus from 9am - 5pm, which drops either at the beach or in the little village area nearby, and will collect when What'sApp'd which was very helpful. Other than that, it's taxis at 200 bat each way to go local.

Everything, the staff super helpful and kind. Beaitiful view from the infinity pool and the roof bar… spacious spotless clean room… coffee was amazing :)

One cockroach in the shower made are check out even faster than we planned… but that was the only sighting of any bug in the premises and as i allready stated the place was very very clean…

Spacious clean rooms . Very comfortable bed . Very clean rooms . Very nice , helpful, efficient staff at the reception. Quite amazing views from restaurant and pool.

The pool area feels unloved . Not enough shade so it is difficult to spend time around the pool during the day . The bar staff although very nice do not seem to be well trained . Often there are empty cups , glasses , plates , around the pool and the sitting area . If it is a responsibility of the guest this information is not provided . These empties spoil the feel and look of the pool area .

The service at Sunset Hill Resort was excellent – the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, arranging taxis and offering a free shuttle into town. They even brought our suitcases to and from the room, which was a nice touch. The laundry service was also great value, very prompt and efficient. Our room was lovely, with ac, a ceiling fan, a balcony, and stunning views, especially of the sea and sunset.

The bathroom didn’t have a curtain, so it got quite wet after showers, which was a little inconvenient. While the hilltop location meant beautiful views, it also made the hotel a bit remote, and taxis charged extra to take you there.
