We were in room A1 which had the most fantastic sea view with hammock and bath on the balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were unlike any we’ve had before, they were so accommodating, always checking we had everything we needed and went over and above for us. The restaurant staff remembered our favourites and always were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the views outstanding! The receptionist Teddy, went over and above for us organising taxis and making sure we were ok at all times, he was so personable and a fantastic addition to the hotel.

If you don’t hire and bike or car, it can be hard to get to but the hotel is surrounded by beautiful beaches and away from the business of the centre/full moon parties.

Lovely place with cute bungalows (i stayed in the cheaper ones). Great restaurant and the people who work there are super friendly. Did not spend a lot of time in the pool because there were many kids (which makes sense ofc). Comfy bed with the best pillow I had so far in SE Asia. Location wise this place is great, love Haad Yao beach. Good scooter rental place next to it or in it (not sure if it belongs to the resort).

The water pressure in the shower was very low. But I know this is a common thing in Thailand, it did not bother me that much. And the stairs can be a bit dangerous in the dark. There is space around each step, you have to pay some attention.

The little house in the jungle was very nice and spacious, the restaurant and the pool a beautiful view. The beach below has many activities and the sunset is beautiful.

- One of the nicest staff teams i saw in Southeast Asia. The restaurant/bar staff, housekeeping, the bikes guy and especially the girl at the reception, everyone was nice and professional. - The pool has an amazing view of Haad Yaao and great for sunset and chilling. Also great sea view from the bungalows - Short distance from lots of interesting things in the western coast of the island. Also a great cafe very close with an incredible view

- Location required a bike everywhere. Cant really walk anywhere due to the hilly area . Also the beach access requires walking in the water to get to the beach - Little beds or seating available at the pool. Also sometimes people who are not staying are allowed and taking space (during the weekend expect also families with kids) - Restaurant is good but a pricey doesn’t have too many options.

The location is excellent. The bungalows are basic but nice, we had a Seaview which was great. The staff, especially in the restaurant & at reception were so friendly. We hired motorbikes from there too which was a good experience. The pool area is fantastic and I absolutely loved the restaurant area. It had such a great vibe and the food was excellent & reasonably priced.

It's hard to think of anything I didn't like. The rooms had a kettle but no coffee provided, the coffee was excellent at the restaurant (and I am super fussy) so I probably wouldn't have drank the instant even if it was there. The only negative for us was there was no access to the beach as they were repairing the steps but this is only temporary. As we'd hired bikes it wasn't too much of an issue. There's a few

The view from the room was amaaazing! We stayed two nights in one of the sea view bungalows furthest out over the ocean and the place was exstra super wonderful. The bed was great, soft, not Thai style (sorry Thailand, after many trips I know that we do not share the same taste in beds). The whole resort area has a fantastic location with gorgeous views over the beach, we even spotted sharks from our balcony! If you wondering if you should splurge on the sea view bungalow or stay in the cheaper ones furter towards the road, then I can say that the more posh rooms where ten times better in every regard. We stayed in both places, and even though I’m usually traveling on a budget, I’m super happy we booked the better one for a few days. Just for the bathroom view alone! The staff was super friendly and attentive. Compared to another place we stayed on the island the vibe among the crew seemed great and we felt very welcome. Professionally run place. Food at the restaurant was good also. We loved the tiny beach just 1 min down from the resort. It was nearly always empty and had pretty great snorkeling.

A bit difficult to get the aircon to work and had to unplug tv to have anywhere to charge phones, because they seemed to have totally forgotten to add plugs in the room when it was built.

Things to be aware of - 1. there are a lot of steep steps to get to most of the rooms. 2. As the pool is open to outside visitors, it could get noisy and busy. Often, we didn't have a place to sit in the shade. There is always music during the day. It's ok, just something one should be aware of if you are looking for some quiet time. 3. We reserved 2 rooms, but room A29 was so far and took a lot of steps to get to, and also, in contrast to room A5, it was with really basic and plain furniture :( .

This hotel is fantastic! It's located in a beautiful area with some of the best beaches nearby. It's easily accessible, even by scooter. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. We received an upgrade for a special occasion, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel also offers a pickup service from the pier for a very reasonable price, which is cheaper than a taxi from the pier itself. Additionally, you can rent scooters at the hotel reception, and we received excellent service there as well. The staff really made our stay memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!

Nothing, everything was good.

We stayed in wooden bungalows and while simple, they were all that we needed on this trip. Very clean, silent AC, located in a nice jungle-like garden and away from the crowds, so we had privacy. The staff at the reception were fantastic and very helpful, they helped us organise transport and trips and were always very nice to us. The room was cleaned regularly (you need to hang a door knob sign that you request cleaning but it is not true that they don't do it as some reviews claime). You can rent a scooter at the reception and the vehicles are in top condition. The restaurant staff is super nice, food is fantastic and pool is clean and refreshing. View - as advertised, even better in real life.

Bathroom is very simple, which is ok, but a few shelves and towel hangers would be nice. Water pressure was on the lower side, but nothing unbearable. Bedside table would also be great.

The most amazing view from the pool and our room. The Burmese staff were the kindest and most lovely staff I have ever met in my life. I didn't want to leave and will be back next year. Haad Yao is the best place to stay on the island now i think

The staff at the front desk were rude and yelled a lot with other guests. There was always loud talking and yelling in reception. The first room we got needed to be changed and I could tell they didn't want to help me but i insisted gently and they finally helped me and I was so happy with my new room. Very different attitude to the kind and gentle restaurant staff.
