My room was equipped with a compact kitchen featuring a stove, refrigerator, microwave, table, and chairs. This provided me with the convenience of dining both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, there were barbecue grills and tables available for outdoor use. Furthermore, a spacious terrace outside my door was equipped with a table, chairs, and loungers, offering a pleasant outdoor dining area. Chairs were also provided outside each door.

The window treatments could have been improved.

It was an absolute delight to stay in Breakaway Inn. Margaret was a fantastic host answering all possible questions and trying to meet all our needs. She even gave her yoga mat to my husband who needed it for exercises. The property itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable, in a walking proximity to the ocean. The beds, the parking, the kitchenette, the pool are all great as well.

It was all great, one minor thing- the air conditioner was a bit too loud.

Such a lovely place. Spotlessly clean and well equipped apartment. Equipped enough to cook some meals in, as there is a full sized oven. The shower was also great, really good water pressure. We even had a kettle albeit stove top but it was the first kettle we’d come across on our USA road trip. The owner was lovely, and lives on site and couldn’t be more helpful. The washer and dryer for guests to use was great and means I’m going back to the UK with all clean clothes! The pool area and gardens are lovely. Lauderdale by the sea itself is fantastic, and we are definitely going to come again and stay back at the breakaway guest house as it’s in a perfect location. Highly recommend this place.

Margaret is a fantastic host who was kind and accommodating. Easy access to the beach and places to eat. Quiet and safe neighborhood.

The only “bad” thing I guess I could say is the corner shower is a bit awkward with the curtain always touching me. But that said the water pressure was fine and it was more annoying than an actual problem.

Proprietor Margaret was very kind, helpful and available with information relevant to the area and the stay.

This place is exactly what we wanted out of a two-star inn. Clean, spacious room with excellent facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The Kitchen area of our room was stocked with every crockery item we could have needed to cook. The AC is powerful and works very quickly. Although it is loud we were able to turn it off after a blast before sleeping and sleep right through without the room getting too warm. The location is one street down from the towns main restaurant strip and two streets from the (very large, sandy) beach, making it easy to pop back to the room from the beach if we needed to. There is a large supermarket in the other direction to the restaurants, no more than ten minute walk away. Free parking offered by the Inn, which in our case was literally right outside of our room. If traffic is good, this place is only a 40 minute drive from the centre of Miami (longest it took us was 1h 10m so still not bad).

Very minor thing which doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The sound on the TV was at times crackly and the resolution of the channels didn’t fit the screen, so the picture filled maybe 20 inches of the 36 inch tv (approximating). But functionally it still worked fine and there is a wide range of channels including additional sports channels.

Having stayed here before I had no hesitation in returning. The location is excellent. It is a very short walk to the square where there are bars and restaurants and the marvellous beach and pier. Parking at the property is free, this is a huge bonus as parking in the area is expensive. My room was ideal with ensuite and a kitchen with full facilities. The pool is in an area where it sees a good few hours of sun each day. It is a quiet and relaxing place with lots of activity only a few minutes walk away. The proprietor lives on the property and is very welcoming and helpful. Suffice to say, later this year I return for four weeks and I have already booked the same room.

The property was very well run. It truly was just like the older style properties that we were used to visiting 40 years ago, not these non-descript boring properties we see now. It was perfect to stroll into town for dinner or a drink, only 2 minutes walk but really quiet and safe. We truly loved it.
