Had a wonderful long weekend with a group for my husbands 50th birthday. Location and onsite staff were great.

After returning home, noticed a $90 charge on my card which I believe was for not returning beach towels, however the towels were returned with dirty linen and we only received fresh bath towels in return. Have tried calling the number on the website DOZENS of times and no one has answered- no matter what time of day I call! Did the same to another member of my group. Currently disputing charge with my card company. Such a shame! We go to LBTS several times a year and would definitely go back to Horizon, if not for the shady way this was handled.

It was a good location to get to work.

I DID NOT like that they have a hotel "POLICY" to keep a copy of our private drivers license information and our credit cards for two years. That is NOT legal and these hotel operators are NOT trained in INFO PRIVACY. HOTEL POLICY DOES NOT OVERRIDE THE LAW.

Was only there for three nights. But no one cleaned our rooms. Seems odd that a family of four would have to rely on same towels for four days. On Sunday when I asked front desk for more towels because my family just got home from beach and wanted to shower. The young lady at the front said room service was off Sunday. When I asked if she could get us some towels she said she would but we’d have to wait until she was done with lunch.

The staff was very friendly. It wasn’t fancy but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. They had beach towels and chairs for you to use. The beach was Avery short walk away as was fun restaurants and entertainment.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! Our room was clean and spacious, with incredibly comfortable beds that made for a restful night's sleep. The well-maintained garden surrounding the property added to the relaxing atmosphere, and we especially enjoyed the warm swimming pool and comfortable loungers—perfect for unwinding after a long flight. Although the reception only operates from 10 AM, we were able to enjoy our time at the pool while waiting to check in, which made the transition to our stay much smoother. The hotel’s location is ideal, with all restaurants, shops, and the beach within walking distance, making it convenient to explore the area. One of the highlights of our stay was witnessing the breathtaking sunset—it's a must-see! Additionally, there were plenty of parking spots available, which made it easy for us to travel around. The staff provided polite and attentive service throughout our stay, which truly enhanced our experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!

Definately was clean. Which having tile floors helps with that. The office staff is only there till 6pm then you have a number to call for questions, which i did and got my answer. I liked the lamps had USB ports and room was good size. Pool was a cute small one but very nice.

I wish they had refreshed my room when i left but forgot to put door pendant to that extent. Also oddly the air unit had a bit of a bang sound when activating the compresor and was bit unnerving at times. The bed while seemed comfortable my back was still hurting next day. Also most of these small motels now have these tiny soap bars that wear out in one shower or so. I didnt like the TV service... very hard to see local news and weather... but the free movies available were awesome! sort of so much to chose and no guide ... well I was not a "power" user was my issue.

Very clean property and a big room. Bed and pillows are excellent. Wifi is good. Staff very nice. Coffee maker and fridge in the room. I loved how friendly the staff was and also the location is very nice. You can walk to the beach and to the shops and restaurants. Everything is close by. Recommended!

Motel vibe (nothing wrong with that). The bathroom was a little old. Some stains (not dirty, just old). Some of the lights did not work. Lighting overall is very bright (too bright for me - but this is personal). What I did not like were the older people who were sitting outside of my room (downstairs) from early morning (6.30/7 am) till evening. Normal conversations, but you could hear them clearly in the room. And considering this was an normal ‘motel like’ room I found it very expensive! (but all rooms in lauderdale by the sea are I suppose)

The Horizon by the sea is a lovely clean and very comfortable resort, homely and safe, with a nice pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we had a fantastic Lady named Dina that looked after our room, kept it spotless with plenty of fresh towels and always had a smile on her face.,!!! We have been there before, and will definitely be going back again.

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like, except our stay wasn’t long enough..!!!

The rooms are unusually spacious. There is plenty of storage space and beach towels are provided. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable.`

There is no management on the premises after the office closes. We had an issue with an extremely disruptive next door occupant during the night but other than a phone number, there was no one to contact. We could only leave a message at the number provided However, the management moved our room the next day and we had a wonderful stay after that. I would have rated the hotel as "excellent" if it weren't for that.

The room was very clean. I loved having a kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, and dishes. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The courtyard was a nice spot to hang out and eat. Even though the inn is on a busy, at times, road, it was very quiet at night. The property is about a block away from Walgreens, 2 blocks from the beach, and 3 blocks from the main "drag" with tons of restaurants, ice cream shops, and live music on Fridays. While the property offered chairs to use at the beach (nice because they had backpack-style straps), they were first come first serve and we could only get one good one. If you can get chairs, hold on to them. The Inn gives you large beach/pool towels (cute with the name of the Inn on them); a nice change from the small, useless pool towels offered at some places.

To be honest, the wifi was not very good. The times we did hang out in the room, the wifi was spotty at best and did not work sometimes. While the room was clean and there was no mold/mildew in the bathroom, I wish there was a fan in the bathroom. It was not very hot outside while we were there (low 70s during the day), but if it was warmer, the steamy bathroom would have made it uncomfortable in the room. Lastly, (this is not a knock against the property, just a personal opinion), I wished there was a hot tub outside.
