Everything is perfect concerning the hotel - nice, clean rooms, comfortable bathroom, friendly staff, delicious food. The hotel is quiet and relaxing. Although two things, which you should be aware of before travelling: 1. Hard beds - if you have chronic back problems, this may be difficult for you. 2. Beach and ocean - Zanzibar is known for the high tides. This is a great issue at this location. There are days with no possibility to swim in the ocean. When there is a high tide a lot of garbage (plastic bottles, shoes, ect) and sea grass present in the ocean, which makes swimming unpleasant.

Remember, this is Africa. If you expect a five star hotel from Europe you will be disappointed. But comparing to African and other tropical destinations this is a perfect choice.

The Spa was great, beach was amazing, location of the hotel was very good, value for all inclusive was worth it, restaurants were mostly good, rooms were nice, the great majority of the people working there are amazingly kind, fun, attentive and funny.

Wifi was awful (basically unusable most times); the bed was the absolute worst in terms of comfort (it was completely stiff and gave me back pain); it’s one of the few hotels that doesn’t have a shuttle included in the price and if you want it it costs €70; electricity goes off 6-10 times per day in the entire hotel (during dinner, shows, drinks, in the room, middle of the night, everything); activities planned by the activity team are okay, some are great and some are awful - no in between; the bar closes super early (at 18:00) but they even stop the music and doing drinks at 17:45.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially at the bars. I have a temerity to say: one of the best services at the bars I have ever experienced. Fantastic cocktails. Very nice and quiet location. New hotel, big rooms. Silent air conditioning. Spanish persons who run the restaurant were extremely friendly and competent.

Slow internet what affects TV (but better than in other hotels in Tanzania). I would like to have a softer bed. Asking deposit for towels is quite ridiculous at 5 star hotel. But these are marginal factors not overweighting the good stay.

On first impression when arriving at reception the only word that you can think of is WOW! Amazing scenery, beautiful hotel and well maintained landscape. The gardening team do a great job here. All the staff were so friendly and get along like one big family themselves. Musa from the animation team has a great energy and always makes sure you are enjoying your time, loved that he taught us Swahili once we arrived so we could practise this with the staff! Special thanks also to Paul and Peter who were really friendly and took time to talk to us every day.

There wasn’t anything that we were not happy with at this hotel, honestly everything was amazing.

The property is perfectly located right on the beach of Pwani Michangani. I booked the deluxe room and it was huge with good room amenities. Overall property is in excellent condition with good facilities. The most commendable is the staff, they went over and above to cater to my needs and even threw me a surprise birthday celebration. The employees that stood out were Mussa run the activities/entertainment. He even managed to get me to work while on vacation with the morning aquarobics class and even taught me to play Bao game. Then there was Anthony, Geoffrey, & Odette who were gracious hosts and excellent wait staff. Special mention to also Katerina, Pali & Maria who were great bar ladies and kept the cocktails flowing.

The lack of wifi signal in the room and the food was fair

The beach is full of marine plants, in this area if you don't have a pool you can't enjoy your vacation. There is only one beach in the entire island where you can stay all day and swim. The resort was nice, staff friendly, food only with local spices, even the pastas and pizza, so if you don't like spices, you will eat fruits.

The all inclusive was extortion when you can go outside eat for less.

What is excellent The rooms are quite big and cosy, designed in European style. The staff kindles, everybody is nice, smiling and helpful. What is very good Drinks and food. All inclusive offert is rich, you have a big choice of all products. Bottled soft drinks and beer is much better than those served in EU hotels. Gym- it looks brand new, maby it not so big but you can find there everything to do a good training. What is good Beach, swimming pool and all the rest. Generally we are very happy 😊 and we will recommend this hotel to our friends.

What is bad smoking areas- people smoking cigarettes in restaurants, bars and everywhere that's very annoying. "Nude" people during meal time. swimsuit at lunch or breakfast is not a part of European culture... You have to talk with ppl who are wearing it in restaurant.

They charge Levy of USD5 per night of stay, which was not included, and got told at reception. The resort is over an hr away from the airport, and 1 trip is about USD50 but its beautiful when you get there.
