Hotel is well located right by the lake, Our room was large modern with a very comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. The breakfast selection was excellent and there are lots of sun loungers to lay by the lake and go swimming. The hotel is right by the ferry terminal and we used the ferries extensively during our stay. Gardone Riveria has a good selection of excellent restaurants and bars. We also a couple of nights ate in nearby Salo which is larger and accessible by boat (15 mins) bus or car.
Parking as the hotel wanted to charge 20euros per night for their lot. To be fair the reception staff pointed us to a free car park which is 5 minutes away. Do be prepared when you arrive to see the side of the hotel that faces the road that doesn't look great. Once inside and lake side this really isn't a problem. We were also told by staff that in October the hotel will close for extensive renovations

Beautiful hotel, amazing room and view from our suite. Pool was fabulous - bar prices a little expensive but you pay for the view & wonderful facilities. Fantastic location - the hotel is next door to the boat port so perfect for town hopping. Restaurants are all right next to the hotel - all within walking distance - ideal for children (we had a 4yr old with us) after a long day of being out and about. Local restaurants are really reasonably priced. You must try Nicholas Restaurant, it was a little expensive but the food was incredible, service amazing & a real highlight of our stay.

I very much enjoyed staying at the hotel and visiting this resort entirely. Lovely and pleasant atmosphere, helpful and caring personal of the hotel, amazing view at the lake from the balcony. Lived in a tower between two wings of the hotel . No complains , only on the weather , sometimes it rained. They cleaned up my room every day thoroughly. A wide assortment of different meals for the breakfasts, allowing to choose at your own taste. Going to visit your city and the hotel again. Wish you the best.
Some renovations of the hotel is required . Wi-fi isn‘t the best.

We seeked to live life on the lake the grand traditional way and choose this hotel. It is classical, cultural and maintains this reputation. Very much away from the tourist hustle, we enjoyed the tranquility and opportunity to be a part of it. Breakfast in abundance, staff always welcoming and accommodating to your needs (ie due to slight walking difficulty our room was re-located near an elevator). They stay provided everything that was expressed in the hotel description. We will return if an future opportunity arises. Remember if eating outside the hotel, you need to book in advance in local restaurants, so not to miss prime time or disappointment.
Its not intended bad, however the hotel is old (this is part of its uniqueness), to maintain this historical element, some areas could use updating. Otherwise yes, please keep this style and heritage going!

Beautiful location right on the shores of Lake Garda One of the highlights was the direct lake access — being able to swim straight from the hotel into the clear waters of Lake Garda. The pool area was equally inviting, offering plenty of space to unwind with stunning views across the lake The hotel grounds are absolutely immaculate, with beautiful flowers and lush gardens that added to the sense of tranquillity
The hotel had been closed and we thought had been refurbished which was no the case and it does need some refurbishment as is tired in places

Amazing location, very attentive chap on the front desk who helped us change our room to a more central position; my husband is recovering from surgery and he found it difficult to walk almost 450 meters one way all the time to the room and back. Good breakfast right on the beautiful lakeside.
VERY EXPENSIVE to eat and drink at the hotel! A glass of wine 01measure was 9 euros, one large beer and one small one was 16 euros and a portion of French fries was 10! Thankfully, there are plenty of cute little restaurants right outside the hotel. Parking is off site and 20 euros per day. After our room was changed we had a room on the 4th floor but unfortunately the balcony wasn’t open like the others but fully covered with a concrete wall so the full view was lost. As we asked for a superior double room with balcony and lake view it was rather disappointing that the view was obstructed somewhat. ☹️ Our bathroom ceiling was open showing pipes, cement and very old slats that were completely open. Not what one would expect for almost 270 per night.

Beautiful hotel - full of character and old world charm. It is located right on the Lake front and sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise/sunset was stunning. The rooms have been modernised and are comfortable with more than ample storage space. The pool area has ample sun beds and the whole area is kept immaculately clean. The staff are amazing - from the reception team to the waiting staff and the housemaids, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is located right next to the ferry jetty and getting around the Lake was incredibly easy from the hotel, particularly with the discount cards given on arrival by the reception team. All in all, this is one of those hotels you should visit, even if only for the experience. Absolutely wonderful.
The only very small gripe is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the hotel is so beautiful that it really wasn’t a problem. The area itself may be a little quiet for younger people but there are a variety of restaurants in the area and the ferry is right next door to the hotel so visiting other resorts is easy.

The Hotel is very large and spreads out laterally along Lake Garda. We first got a room a long walk from the main dining room and breakfast area. When I told them I had just had a knee replacement. They immediately moved me to a room very close in. Both rooms had wonderful balconies looking at the Lake, but our final room was so very much easier for me.

Just loved the faded glam! Please do not change the vibe! The details are amazing! The old wooden floors, panels, lamps, furniture and garden makes it all so special! Our suite was so spacious and with a large balcony from where you could se the piazza and the lake.
Some of the younger female staff could smile a little bit more and the breakfast was good enough, but not fantastic. The young guy in the reception was very welcoming😊

The fantastic location and the chique old fashioned design. Nice views from the balcony.
The staff was really friendly, but especially in the restaurant they didn’t have a clue what they were doing. The music during breakfast was completely out of style with the ambiance. Also during the evenings there was a lot of loud music from neighboring venues.
