The room was basic, clean, comfortable and safe. Fresh chocolate chip cookies at check in.

The ice machine was broken

The room was clean and tidy when we arrived at the motel. The beds were comfy so no complaints there. The location of the motel was close to the greenway where our events were located at which made traveling back and forth easy for us coming from out of town.

I would have liked to have an earlier breakfast time since my friends and I would have liked to have eaten before having to go to an event at 8 am. As well as having listed that there are microwaves and a mini fridge listed on Booking.com would have assisted us in bringing food for the evening and/or eating our dinner leftovers.

Great access off the freeway. Comfortable beds. Lovely surprise to find there were toiletries available for use. Good restaurant on same property is a nice convenience. Being able to soak away the stress of travel in the hot tub was a great way to end the day. The plate of cookies was a special treat upon check in. Nice touch, for sure.

From our room the wifi kept dropping out. The chlorine smell was very strong when we entered the pool room; so much so that it was burning our eyes so we couldn’t enjoy the warm water for too long and the jets weren’t working. Only beverages are available in the side room whereas from reading reviews, it looks like there used to be a complimentary breakfast.

It was clean and the landscaping was nice. The pool and hot tub were open late and in a convenient location. The motel was in a great location to the interstate. The room was a great size.

It is dated, but still well maintained, the stairs leading up to our room (main building) were a bit sketchy. There was a party happening that woke us a few times, but it was a Saturday and people were having a good time. We didn’t complain but it was loud.

The room was fully stocked with towels. Huge bonus! We mainly stayed to sleep and were gone most of the day, however, it was a nice room very quiet at night. Would defintely come again.

When I first checked in the lady at the front desk was going through everything really fast like she was in a hurry. I just traveled 5 hours to get to the hotel so, I was a little slow to answer her questions. I would assume she should be used to this. She needs to be more friendly and not so annoyed with her job.

I've been staying at Motel West for years, so feel a loyalty to them; however, on the rare occasions when they were completely booked, I was forced to stay with other facilities in the area. Even when their rates were much higher than Motel West, I was always disappointed with one or two aspects of the other locations, and the ownership (Marriott, Best Western, Holiday Inn Express,) didn't seem to matter. Either their staff was unfriendly, the room was dirty, loud parties were going on in adjoining rooms, etc. Motel West has it's own business model and philosophy that works and has proven to be successful over a long period of time. When I travel to Idaho Falls, it's just a given that I will stay at Motel West! Even though it's an older facility, it's constantly updated and has all of the same features you'd expect at a motel that is far more expensive.

I can't think of a thing

The staff were amazing - SO friendly and helpful, from picking me up at the bus station, allowing an early check in, the daily fresh cookies (thanks Amber!), to dropping me back later! The rooms were clean, comfortable and have everything you need. There are a lot of options for eating - totally recommend the Zone Bar across the road. Falls, Temple and old town are walking distance (main city is a little further) Would stay there again and totally recommend!

I got this room last minute and was expecting the quality of a motel 6. When I opened the door to my room I was incredibly surprised that it not only had a jacuzzi tub but the layout was big and spacious. It was clean, had a bunch of lighting options and a pretty decent shower as well.

The mirror in front of the bed, there was so many mirrors in that room which is kind of a novelty to me from places I typically have stayed to the point it was a little bit too much imo.

Perfect for my needs. I asked for late checkout and they were accommodating. I came to run the marathon and needed to shower before the drive home. Worked out great. Comfortable, clean, good WiFi, quiet neighbors, good water pressure in the shower, easy to access location. Thanks!

Shower head was too low and I’m not that tall. I also needed ice machine closer to me, and I’m not sure that the fridge worked. I wish the bathroom light would work without the loud fan.

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It had two comfy queen size beds with a large two person whirlpool tub! Very spacious. The owners have taken good care of the place and have kept very good care of the place and have done a lot to well maintain and update the hotel. They supplied plenty of towels for the tub and shower, they were not stingy with the towels. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to enjoy the tub, but was nice to have the opportunity. The room was clean and nice.

The shower was a bit small, but sufficient for the purpose. The carpet was a bit worn, but clean.
