We were treated exceptionally well by ALL of the staff at the Hotel and restaurant! This is a HUGE deal after we were treated poorly by management at Motel West, where we have been staying for the last 10 years! We travel to Idaho Falls for medical appointments and need a place to stay. The accommodations were wonderful, we will be booking with the Shilo for all of our future appointments!!!

No complaints! Front desk was extremely appreciative for informing them of a problem in the bathroom.

We had a river view room and while we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the view because we were just passing through town, the few moments we had at night to drink a glass of wine out on the balcony were marvelous. I also enjoyed the morning sun for a few moments before we left.

We were 5 people in two rooms and only recieved 4 vouchers for breakfast. It was just a little strange. The hotel is showing its age. In a few years it'll be a charming old but right now it's just dated.

our room #408 smelled fresh and clean. It had been renovated in the past year and exceeded our expectations, as many reviews stated that the Shilo was outdated and needed some upgrading. The breakfast was delicious and hot. The swimming pool is large and we enjoyed doing some lap swimming in the morning.

The hall ways and entrance need some air fresheners to remove the musty "old building" smells. They weren't over powering, just needed a little help.

The only thing I didn't like was that when I arrived there was a line up of 4-5 people for registration. Those waiting had already been waiting for 10-20 minutes. I waited for another 15-20 minutes before the clerk showed up. He just said he was late because he was checking rooms. He had not left any signage to indicate where he was. He never apologized to any of us who were waiting.

I like the fact that the rooms are clean. They're spacious. The pool is open up until 11:00 p.m. staff is friendly. The breakfast was good. It was ham, eggs, hash brown. Some fruit all hot and oatmeal.

The bed was soft, a little saggy but not bad. Overall, I think it was pretty well maintained. It's a big place. Could use a little updating but and make that really really nice but it's overall a great experience

The website states 24 hour pool and it wasn't. The sauna was not working. The exercise room was a disappointment. The treadmill didn't work, the weight machine was broken, there were only two sets of dumbells. There were no facial tissues in the box in the room. I was double charged and I hope to get a refund.

The price was good. Breakfast was also good. Room was large and had all the necessary amenities. I didn't get to use the pool and spa, but they looked well cared for and clean.

This hotel as with many others needs to have a manager that does walk throughs and checks on how the staff is doing. Our room had no cream and sugar for their coffee machine. The tub shower handle to activate the shower is broken and hard to use. The dinning room is in need of care. Windows to the outside look like they have never been cleaned, except to can see the filth from previous cleanings last year sometime. The restaurant needs a weekly going through to keep it up to standards.

The room was nice enough, the hot tub was great and we liked walking to the Sand Piper for a lovely dinner by the river.

Left a pillow behind and although they found it right away when I called, it was unable to be found on the morning I went back to get it. And the front desk person was rude to me and made me feel like he didn't believe that it had ever been found.

The room was very spacious with a couch and table area as well as a desk, area for suitcase and spacious sink area. Breakfast was great with hot items as well as cold. Staff was very helpful. Balcony with view of river.

The balcony was full of bugs and spider webs. Looked as if it hadn't been cleaned or swept down in a long time.

Location across from the falls. Our room was HUGE!! Staff was able to get us almost everything we requested in such a short time. Great staff. Loved our stay!!

Needs a couple of light switches that need to be repaired in our room. Understand the new owner is making strides to bring it back to glory... keep going!! It is coming along great.
