Great access off the freeway. Comfortable beds. Lovely surprise to find there were toiletries available for use. Good restaurant on same property is a nice convenience. Being able to soak away the stress of travel in the hot tub was a great way to end the day. The plate of cookies was a special treat upon check in. Nice touch, for sure.

From our room the wifi kept dropping out. The chlorine smell was very strong when we entered the pool room; so much so that it was burning our eyes so we couldn’t enjoy the warm water for too long and the jets weren’t working. Only beverages are available in the side room whereas from reading reviews, it looks like there used to be a complimentary breakfast.

I've been staying at Motel West for years, so feel a loyalty to them; however, on the rare occasions when they were completely booked, I was forced to stay with other facilities in the area. Even when their rates were much higher than Motel West, I was always disappointed with one or two aspects of the other locations, and the ownership (Marriott, Best Western, Holiday Inn Express,) didn't seem to matter. Either their staff was unfriendly, the room was dirty, loud parties were going on in adjoining rooms, etc. Motel West has it's own business model and philosophy that works and has proven to be successful over a long period of time. When I travel to Idaho Falls, it's just a given that I will stay at Motel West! Even though it's an older facility, it's constantly updated and has all of the same features you'd expect at a motel that is far more expensive.

I can't think of a thing

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It had two comfy queen size beds with a large two person whirlpool tub! Very spacious. The owners have taken good care of the place and have kept very good care of the place and have done a lot to well maintain and update the hotel. They supplied plenty of towels for the tub and shower, they were not stingy with the towels. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to enjoy the tub, but was nice to have the opportunity. The room was clean and nice.

The shower was a bit small, but sufficient for the purpose. The carpet was a bit worn, but clean.

This was a very basic room; all we needed was a bed and a good night's sleep. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable but extremely bouncy if your partner moved so we ended up sleeping in separate beds to avoid the bounce. No breakfast served but we knew that and were fine with it. It was quiet.

When we first got there the TV did not work. My husband had to go to the office and then back to the room and get behind the TV and work his magic to make the TV work. He got it going, so all was well.

They are a MOTEL not a Hotel. We were looking for a stop over that was reasonable priced, quiet, clean, and safe. We were not disappointed. MW is an older motel that has been remodeled by someone who knew how and they must have a good maintenance person and house keepers. The front desk staff were both fantastic and seemed to enjoy their job. You will get basic amenities, a great place to stay without breaking your pocket book. We did three loads of laundry and it only cost us $6. We pinned MW and plan on staying there in the future. Nice to find a great Motel still exist.

We stayed in 129 and the outside area next to it had a lot of trash and needs cleaned up. Noticed the wind seemed to blow trash there and it collects.

The property was good value compared to most and in a clean, convenient location with many eating places nearby. Each room has a mini fridge and microwave, coffee, but no breakfast. The continuous run air conditioner kept the room cool even in very high temps. Beds & pillows were comfy. I liked that the maids didn’t start til 9:30 so weren’t talking and banging around when we were trying to sleep. We also We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Would have been nice to have an ice machine in each building instead of just one in center building.

I appreciate Motel West because it's affordable, clean and comfortable. I appreciate the effort they make to accommodate our rooms being close together, near our trailers and our late arrival at times. We have stayed there many times.

I wish they still offered breakfast. They used to. I can't say I don't understand. The economy isn't quite what it used to be. I miss that aspect of their facility - but we still stay there when passing through.

Pleasant motel at a good price that allowed pets with a reasonable fee. Not fancy, but had all the things you need and more. Our room was clean, and the queen size bed was comfy. The room had a fridge and microwave. It was a real bonus to have an indoor pool and hot tub. We had an excellent breakfast at O’Brady’s diner, just a 5 minute walk from the motel. This is a great budget option in Idaho Falls, just a short drive to the historic downtown, and River Walk area. I would definitely recommend this motel.

It’s a small thing, but there is only one lamp next to the bed, and I would have liked a second one, so each of us could have had a reading light.

Easy to find. Parking was adequate. I don't know if there was a breakfast offered. The room was clean, had free Wi-Fi. TV and a bed, my reason for staying there after 48 hours in a truck with no sleeper. I would stay there again if the need arises.

Although the rooms were non-smoking, there were ash trays all over outside and I could smell the other guests cigarette smoke occasionally. As an ex smoker, I find the smell of burning cigarettes very offensive now.

The room is big, clean and comfortable, enough space for 2 persons. The beds are comfortable. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker inside the room. Free parking direct in front of our room. Easy check-in and check-out. Very good price compare to other hotels in the same area. The area is quiet in the night, could sleep very well.

Very low water pressure, difficult to take shower especially for lady with long hair.
