Wonderful accommodation, in a stunning old mansion. The owners did a great job in keeping the historical features of the house, including the furniture, but at the same time providing it with all the modern facilities (floor heating for example). Francisco, the owner, is more than happy to give a tour of the house. Breakfast was exceptional, with fresh, local products. Delicate china and beautiful tablecloths added to the atmosphere. Breakfast was served in the main dining hall of the house, at one big table that gathered around all the guests in the house, giving the opportunity for a bit of social interaction. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance of the beach, supermarket and restaurants.

A very warm welcome from a very generous host Franceso who took us for a short tour of his family historic home. Years of history associated with this amazing property. A very generous size bedroom, seating area, and all mod con bathroom . Even a basket of logs should the weather turn chilly - it didn’t. Breakfast in the main house was such an experience, delicious food in a beautiful dining room served as fine dining. We had a patio with sea and lagoon view through the trees. A short walk takes one to the stunning beach and large lagoon, mesmerising to watch the kite surfers while we dined in one of the many beachside restaurants. Very much recommend Europa for an evening meal.

Our stay was amazing. Francisco is a superb host always giving suggestions of different things to see and places to visit plus the history of the area. Breakfast was very good and the dining area was so pretty. Our room was very nice., Having a glass of wine in the evening on the patio watching the goats and sheep was very peaceful. Of course the peacocks there were also stunning. Francisco is very humble and you can see that he loves hosting and enjoys answering any questions you may have. B E A U T I F U L!!!!!
honestly there isn't anything to comment on for this. our stay was fantastic.

This is not your standard generic B&B. Quinta Da Foz is a charming place with lots of character and full of friendliness. Something to be mindful of is that breakfast is served around a large dining room table, which can sit up to 9 guests. Whilst we loved this experience, we met different people every single day and could spend up to 2 hours chatting about everything and anything. Language is not a barrier. It really is something special. However, this might not be for everyone. Like I say, it is a very unique experience which I would thoroughly recommend. We also really enjoyed the personal touches that went with our stay, like the tour of the house. Quinta da Foz is also situated away from the busy beach end, which was great for us, as we could get out and explore easier, but this does mean a short walk to the beach. There are some fabulous restaurants nearby too! It's worth going up towards the top of the village as well as heading down towards the beach.

We were welcomed into a beautiful, historic country manor home, yet our room, set off with its own entrance, felt very private. Francisco is very kind and generous with his time and explanations. The property feels rural, with a few sheep grazing, but it’s only a few minutes walk through lovely, narrow streets to great restaurants. A gem! And a memorable experience.
The bed was only a double bed, when I prefer a queen size. And the adorable bathroom is slightly tricky to work around. But it didn’t matter!

It is a great place - you cannot make anything wrong. It has quite an impressive history and the family is a part of it - be sure, they will tell you the family saga 😊 Very good breakfast will be served and for sure you will like the peacocks that will wake you up in the morning.
Nothing to mention from my side but as it is pretty particular, some people, who love the comfort of a hotel with service might prefer this. So, do a little research and book with confidence.

It was the perfect stay in an environment that was warm and welcoming. Greeted by a wag of a tail! Became our best friend while there! We truly appreciated the owner Francisco and his staff. They were so accommodating. The history of the family was very interesting. The location was perfect and inviting. Ate at a couple restaurants. One Italian in town, and one over near the lagoon. The service and seafood were superb! Thank you!

I recently spent 2 nights at Quinta da Foz and cannot speak highly enough about Francisco and his staff. It is a very unique and beautiful place. The grounds are a very peaceful place to spend some time and maybe you'll be lucky enough to meet some of the animals. The living area and bedroom are beautifully furnished. The breakfast is very nice and plentiful. What is clear is how much Francisco loves this place and enjoys sharing it with others. Thank you for this. Fatima and Martha enjoy working there as well. All three of them were warm, kind, caring and supportive to me in a tricky situation for me. I will always remember them for this and hope to return there some day. Thank you so much for a lovely stay at Quinta da Foz, an experience like no other I have had.
There was nothing to dislike.

We loved staying in a historic building and learning about the history of the family and property. The property is stunning! We had two rooms booked and both were large and very clean. The breakfasts each morning were substantial and excellent! We enjoyed watching the peacocks on the property although they are noisy but this didn't bother us. Location was central to many things we had planned for our 3 days. We had an excellent stay, and the hosting family, who have had this property in their family for generations were so pleasant and helpful! Easy parking on site too. This property is a hidden gem!
We loved everything! Nothing negative to say.

A stunning 16th century homestead, just breathtaking, with beautiful generous hospitality. I made this trip with my son just after my husband passed away so was very moved to be shown a chapel within the house. I am not religious (although brought up Catholic) but spent some time sitting here with our loss and it has meant a lot. Everything about this place is very special and I wish we had had longer.
