Very kind and welcoming staff, the breakfast was good - I would only prefer freshly squeezed juice instead of the bought lemonade, but it doesnt matter since it was still exceptional. We could choose how we want our eggs made, and their homemade cakes were very tasty. The rooms were clean, tidy, the AC worked and the balcony was cute. Will definitely come again someday!

Staff cant speak English so sometimes it was hard to communicate, but not that much of a big deal. Only their daughter (I think?) could speak English, but we didnt see her very often, and she seemed like she didnt enjoy the job at all. Also, the rooms werent totally soundproof, but its not a big deal.

Fantastic hotel, and great hosts. Very welcoming and warm people. We really appreciated the secure storage for our bikes and in fact, they allowed us to park our car in the same space. Rooms were lovely, clean and were newly renovated. The two ladies who welcomed us (Sophia and her Aunt) recommended a typically Portuguese restaurant and Sophia even took us there! Food and wine was amazing. When we got back later in the evening, we were encouraged to try the local ginger wine and port (both delicious). The absolute highlight was breakfast! Much of it was cooked from scratch by Sophia's aunt. With freshly squeezed orange juice to perfect scrambled eggs, we all agreed this was the best breakfast of our trip.

The host and other staff are really kind people. Our stay was defenitly a nice and bright one. During breakfast you have the option to get a fried egg which is tasty. The room was cleaned between nights and looked and smelled amazing. Overall the location of this hotel is great, on walking distance from the pavilion, shopping streets and many other things. The beds we're clean, comfortable and felt like a cloud.

I understand the tactical idea of not putting too much fresh products on the breakfast bar if there arent many guests. But we would've liked a refill of classic fresh croissant and some fresh fruits, since they were already taken before us.

The breakfast was really good and I was able to leave to hotel and have a meeting in the bank and then return for breakfast which made things very easy for me. There was a good selection of foods and the home made cakes were delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was really appreciated (so often these days it is from a carton of concentrate) and the home made jam was also delicious.

I felt that my room would have felt a little cramped if I was sharing with another person. Other than that everything was lovely. The bed was reasonably comfortable.

Very very nice boutique hotel owned and operated by the most amazing people. The owners made you feel right at home. Checkin was quick and the owner(husband) accompanied my brother to show him exactly where to park. The hotel has been totally renovated and job well done. Full breakfast each morning is provided in a cute dining area. Food was great as was the cook. Location was great for getting around town. Very walkable. I wished I could have stayed a few more days to shop and see more of Caldas. Wonderful food and even better people. Would definitely stay here again.

Like everything and everyone

The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of Caldas da Rainha with good safe underground parking (small overnight fee) nearby. A really warm friendly welcome from Elvira who was the perfect host. Room was newly refurbished and very comfortable with quiet air-con for extra warmth - The bed was very comfortable too ! The breakfast was a great addition - freshly cooked bacon and eggs, fruits, cereals, breads and the not to be missed, pastel da nata pastries.

Nothing to change for me - 5 very good nights here !

Our hosts were exceptional! They are welcoming, warm, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. They truly made us feel like family. Delicious homemade breakfast including made to order eggs every morning! The facility is so clean and comfortable! It’s also in a great location close to good restaurants, lots of shopping, a daily market, and historical sites. One of the best properties we’ve ever stayed in, we highly recommend!

Newly refurbished. Tastefully decorated. Very clean. Spacious room with a queen size bed. Clean bathroom with a generous sized shower stall. Very smart breakfast room with a hot and cold breakfast selection. Elvira and her sister were very welcoming. The hotel is in the center of town but on a side street so very little traffic noise. Restaurants, cafes and supermarket within 2 minutes walk. The daily market in Praça da Frutas is not to be missed. Major attractions all within 30 minutes walk.

Elvira is amazing! She’s a tiny lady with a huge, kind heart and her husband is equally kind and helpful. Her niece, Sofia, is also a sweetheart. What beautiful people! They set incredible highs standards hospitality, amenities and comfort! Breakfast was fresh, offered a huge selection and was lovingly prepared and served. We will make a plan to return to Caldas da Rainha just to stay there again!!! Thank you. 🙏

Excellent location. Everything you need in short walking distance. Room clean and neat. Reception and breakfast area nicely renovated. Friendly and helpful staff.

Door knop of our room was a bit lose and we struggled to unlock the door from the inside the next morning after our first night in the room. We had to phone the host to come and open the door from the outside. We were too afraid to lock the door from the inside again and only used the security chain at night while we were in the room. The bathroom did not have an extractor fan and got quite humid with 3 people in the room. Our towels and washing cloths were therefore permanently damp.
