The location within the walls of Obidos was perfect to explore this magical town. We didn't realise the medieval fayre was on until we got there and the town was busier than normal. However, it was so much fun to visit. I'd recommend going if you happen to be there during the last week in July. The main street of the town does get busy with tourists but the hotel is on a side street so away from the hustle and bustle. The pool looked amazing, but we didn't have time to try it out.

The rooms show signs of use and could do with some freshening up. It was not as clean as the other places we stayed in Portugal but still not dirty!

Beautiful location within the Medieval walled city. The room was clean and nice. The pool area was stunning. I loved sitting outside by the pool for some good downtime.

This is not the fault of the hotel, but something to be aware of. Parking is along way from the hotel. It would be best to downsize your luggage for this trip. It is a walled city and you can not drive your luggage to the hotel room. You must walk with it from one of the outside parking destinations.

The location, the pool, the design, the balcony, the bed was very comfortable

Although the room felt clean and tidy, there was some visible mold in the bathroom The AC was very noisy and you could hear other guests in the room It’s uncomfortable to check in at another property since it’s hard to go with luggage on these streets, should be self check in There were two green lights in the room visible at night that we had to put over some stickers

Very well kept property. Very clean thru out. Kitchen a bit small but dining room very adequate. Sitting areas well decorated and pleasant. At the price we paid,would stay again. The two young men at the front desk at the Posada where we checked in were very helpful.

Location is very difficult to get to. We were not expecting to have to walk with suitcases such a long distance uphill. There needs to be some kind of service to help with luggage. Because parking was so far from the property, we took the bare necessities and left the rest in our car. Unfortunately, our car was broken into that night and several things stolen. Not sure if that happened to just us that night. I e-mailed the property in the morning but never received a reply.

The check in was at a different location. No visible staff at the location. No hotel-like facilities, just a place to sleep and stay. Could be clearer when booking.

Lovely perfectly situated hotel to explore Obidos. The pool was a fantastic extra feature. Rooms spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The check-in is at another location, This should have been conveyed in an email before. Once we had arrived we had to walk a fair distance to check-in and get the key. As it was extremely hot that day this wasn't ideal.

Comfortable and beautiful rooms in a great part of the village. Close but still tucked away! The communal areas were also beautiful, as was the pool area. We did the check in at the castle hotel and it went very smoothly to find the accomodation and the staff was very helpful and made us feel welcome

Great location. Comfortable room. Obidos is really beautiful. Loads of fantastic restaurants.

The pool area needs sweeping. There are a lot of loose stones and dirt. The actual pool was very clean. Not the hotels fault, but a lot of other guests leave dirty pots in the kitchen.

We loved the proximity of Casa Lidador to the township and enjoying the quiet times, once the village closed down for the day. The pool was fabulous. We also made good use of the kitchen and dining area.

The accomodation was cared for and comfortable. Some very minor issues regarding the shared kitchen such as no wine glasses available and the tin mugs for tea/ coffee were too hot to handle when using. Easy fixes. We tried a couple of times to talk with staff at the reception for information but they were overrun checking groups in. There was no information for guests to access re tours or local transport available in reception.

Óbidos is a magnificent medieval city, and when you wake up in the morning in Casa Lidador, you open your window and you have the whole city in front of you, is a unique and amazing view. That view alone is worth the price of the room. The room was huge, super clean and filled with a pleasant perfume. The position is perfect, in the middle of the old town inside the city walls. Exiting Casa Lidador, if you walk 5 minutes to the right you reach one end of the city walls, and if you walk 5 minutes to the left you reach the other end. The welcoming is done inside another structure that is 5 minutes from Casa Lidador, and everyone has been extremely kind and available to answer all of our questions about the city. There is also a pool, but we didn't use it. There is a free parking lot behind the Pastelaria Arcus, which is a 10 minutes walk from Casa Lidador.

I don't think there's something that I didn't like about Casa Lidador. Probably the fact that there is no elevator could be a downside, but there are at most two flights of stairs, so it's not that bad.
