We stayed in the poolside rooms which were spacious , cost and quirky! The entrance to the bathroom was through a vintage wardrobe! Lively views over the pool and valley beyond. Really short walk thru the walls of the town to start exploring. The property had a Carpark which was essential since cars were everywhere! We loved all the medieval furnishings too! Staff were very friendly and the welcome drink was great! Big breakfast was included! This is a great place to stay. Even a friendly cat!

Awesome location and excellent atmosphere. Secured parking garage is a definite PLUS! Hotel has great interior, with swords, coats of arms, and medieval arms. Afternoon guest appreciation complimentary wine was a great touch. Host was even dressed in costume from medieval times. All attractions are in a very short walking distance,since the hotel is just outside the city wall. Breakfast was very good and satisfying. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit the Óbidos.

Ideal location just outside the old walled town and an easy walk to the main street. The facilities were excellent with a lovely outdoor area and swimming pool. The staff were welcoming and breakfast was excellent. We even had a welcome drink and nibbles on our first evening which was very nice. The room was well equipped with a huge bathroom.

The hotel and our room was decorated in a Tudor style and therefore quite dark. We also found the bed quite uncomfortable, which was a shame. We missed not having our own kettle/drink facilities in our room.

This hotel is located in a very old building--originally the mayor's house--in a town that dates back to the middle ages. The charming decor is designed to take you back to that period. The location was excellent, next to the old city wall, within walking distance to everything and with excellent long range views. Since we traveled in the off season, the ample breakfast was made to order (rather than a buffet).

The bathtub was large and gorgeous...and absolutely treacherous when wet. I slipped but managed to stay upright. My husband actually fell, but was thankfully ok.

Great location right outside the walled city. Small parking garage that accommodated us every time we needed to park. Friendly staff and great breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts and cheeses with bread rolls, juices, etc. Medieval feel to the hotel with coats of arms, chain mail display, armor, etc. The towels are fantastic.

The door locks. Everyone jokes about them. About the third try you figure out how to lock and unlock the doors.

The staff were welcoming and you felt that they really wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room was perfect and had this little 'turret' with window seats which had fantastic views. There were also French windows with a little balcony with fantastic views over the valley and up to the fortified walls of the town. The bathroom was a good size and well appointed. We had a birthday and the hotel, unprompted, placed a bottle of sparkling wine in our room which was a lovely touch. They also recommended and arranged for a table at a nearby restaurant for our evening meal which was superb. Overall our stay was just wonderful. Thank you.

Hotel is very unique and uplifting. Our room on the ground floor was large and comfortable with lots of natural light. Our favourite place was the large terrace with a spectacular view of Obidos's town wall. On both of our nights there we relaxed on the terrace with a glass of wine and watched the lights of the castle wall come on as the sun set. The pool was refreshing with lots of lounge chairs and a sunning bed to accommodate the guests. Buffet breakfast was incredible! The parking garage was a terrific plus for a small town European hotel.

Our room was a little humid and damp. The air conditioning helped but didn't fully eliminate the dampness. For us, this wasn't a big concern. We slept well in a very comfortable King bed and enjoyed the spacious room.

It was spectacular! Charmingly medieval in decor but thoroughly modern in amenities!! Fantastic location just a short block away from castle wall. The staff was consistently superior in friendliness, helpfulness and courtesy. They even made us a Take Away Breakfast Box as we were leaving early. On-site garage was a fantastic relief to avoid parking stress!

Nothing at all. It was one of my favorite hotel stays ever! My 6’4” husband just mentioned that the ceiling going down to the garage could use some “low ceiling warning tape”. Or a knight’s helmet!😉

Hotel was a clean, nice facility decorated in medieval fashion and served all our needs for a one night stay. The access walk into the Obidos historic walled city was close by and allowed us plenty of restaurant options. Breakfast was excellent and they gave the added bonus of a welcome drink.

Parking is limited to only a few tight spots. It was very difficult to actually locate the hotel so some extra signage and directions would be helpful.

the pool room with a view of the castle walls was very comfortable, modern, spacious and well equipped. the lcation is excellent. If you arrive early, there is parking available in the hotel garage.

the staff were particularly unfriendly. the hotel has a medieval theme, and is quite dark and depressing. breakfast is served in a dungeon, with very little natural light. medieval music playing all the time.
