Close to Harper's Ferry without the higher prices. 24 hr Diner connected by walkway to Hotel. Wonderful staff & clean facilities. Room was absolutely spotless. Not worn, comfortable bed & chair with ottoman. Very small desk & chair. Best black out draperies that I've ever seen. Quiet.... at times.

Check in is nothing less than weird.... you have to check in at the nearby diner! You're handing over your credit card while a cook is flipping pancakes 10ft away. I requested a king room nearest desk or elevator on 2nd floor. I get there & she starts reading my request and she explains all king rooms are on 2nd floor. No problem, my husband walks with a cane so an elevator is all we need. This 3 floor facility has NO elevator. No luggage carts, no ice buckets just bags at ice machine, no cups in room. Bare bones. No maintenance on location. Lighting is very harsh.....headache harsh! Quiet unless someone is above you, then it's like sharing your room.

Clean and spacious room. Comfy bed. Nice and quiet. Penny's diner on site very convenient. There's a Mexican next door but didn't use it. Recomend Smoketown brewing station in town for good beer and snacks. Based in an old Fire Station.

Room was clean, very quiet, and roomy! Easy parking and a porch with rocking chairs and a grill. Safe area, good for walking.

It was odd checking in at the diner adjacent even though staff was great.

It is certainly a slightly older hotel, likely rehabbed. It is in a much more slowed down, easier-paced spot than Frederick (which is where I used to book). It is in a small town, with a safe community feel. The hotel appears to be owned by a family that also owns the diner. I grew up in MD and it is a much better alternative (for me, at least) than Frederick, which has changed and become (in our opinion -- two of us were traveling) a bit shabby, seedy, and simply not the wonderful rural-ish town that it used to be. Frederick now has all of the issues one would expect in a much larger city, unfortunately. This property does not boast an amazing interior by any means, but we were quite pleased and would stay here over Frederick any day.

We were very happy with this property. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Penny's Diner was very clean and had great food. All in all it makes me want to stay at Travelodge again.

There was nothing that we did not like here.

It was clean, bed was comfortable. Diner out front is handy and open 24-7

The rooms were extremely clean.

Breakfast was at a diner and it was not free. For that price a breakfast should have been included. Further stays at any hotel I will look for a commentary breakfast.

Super helpful and friendly staff when we arrived late and so tired, who safely stored our bicycles in the training room, made us a great feed in the 1950s styled Penny's Diner and generally made us feel very welcome. A good sized room, very clean and quiet.

Very steep hills from C&O canal towpath to Travelodge. A shuttle pick up would be fantastic.
