The Meeniyan Motel is very centrally located within easy walking distance to the shops, pub, cafes and restaurants - we were surprised at the quality of the food and dining in such a small town. Although the room was compact it had everything we needed and had a contemporary feel with a few upgrades since our last visit. Meeniyan itself is located in glorious countryside in South Gippsland with rolling green hills and great driving roads. We came to go to a band at the Meeniyan Town Hall which we loved and there are other great options to do in the area as well like country drives, going to Wilson's Prom etc.

The hot water was a bit slow to start but there is signage there to tell you what to do so that was fine.

The location was very convenient as everything was at your doorstep. Supermarket, cafes, dining, petrol. The road to Wilsons Prom was in the town centre. The staff at the motel were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The people in the town were very friendly. We ate breakfast at Mahob @ Moos and both the food and the staff were wonderful..Excellent food and great service..highly recommend to dine here. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent. The staff were warm and inviting. Only disappointing factor was we missed out on the homemade desserts..very popular and must get in early before they go. The room and the bathroom were a good size for 3 people. Would stay here again.

We liked everything in Meeniyan except the heat on the day..38 degrees.

I booked the one bedroom apartment and expected it to have some utensils. When I opened the cabinates... OMG! They provided EVERYTHING I can think of! from forks to plates, from baking tray to different sizes of pots. Even plastic containers! This is so amazing! The room was not the best condition, but they kept everything clean and tidy. Strong aircon, confortable sofa, good hot water flow.

Beds are too soft for my family's liking. (We are Asians and love firm beds)

We have stayed here before, Its in a perfect location as we had a function at the Meeniyan Hotel next door, The town is one of our favourites. Room was clean and it was so lovely to use electric blankets, Shower had great pressure, excellent facilities in the kitchen..

The light coming in above the door window, it would have been nice to turn our outside light off or be able to block that window.

The motel was a good jump off point for the Great Southern Rail Trail Bike ride. For a budget style room it suited us and we are not ones to spend wasted energy critiquing inconsequential stuff when it meets our need for shelter & comfort for a reasonable price with the prime objective to spend as little time in the room as possible.

Good facilities - kettle and microwave in the room. Comfortable beds. The room was clean and staff were friendly. Check in/out was very easy. Parking was adequate and easily accessible. Good location - close for day trips to Wilson's Prom.

Can be loud at night with trucks going through town, but not much of an issue.

Mat was a super host! My wife and I rode the Great Southern trail (right on the doorstop of this motel) and he was very accomodating looking after our bags before and after check-in. Also right next to town pub which was very convenient for a relaxing drink on the deck after a long days ride!

Location was very central, walking distance to restaurant, bakery and the Great Southern Rail Trail. Very accommodating to travelling with a dog.

The curtain let through a lot of light, with the window above the door only having some frosting on it. Made it difficult to sleep with it being very light inside the room

I used the motel since it is close to Wilsons Prom. The room was nice and clean with not much comfort, but reasonable for one night. The place, although enthusiastically described in the motel guide, does not offer much of interest for the traveller.

My room was situated close to the highway. During da and early morning there was some noise from the road.

Had a great stay at the Meeniyan Hotel. Mel was fantastic and so helpful. We borrowed some great bikes to ride the rail trails. Located next door to the pub, but was not an issue. Great country food and entertainment at the pub. Great place to stopover.
