It was incredibly quiet. I haven't heard much from outside, or other guests. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite a clear language barrier. I came here to rest after riding the cycling road from onomichi, it was perfect for that. I can (if you can handle non-Japanese levels of spicy) really recommend the curry shop nearby. It's a blink-and-you-miss-it kinda place, but really good food!

The nearest convenience store is a bit far away, and the building was quite tall. I had to go up multiple flights of steep stairs to get to the room.

Not to far from the station 15minutes walk. Easy to find with a warm welcome. Very close to ferry terminal and bus stop. 5minute walk to Family Mart and passed 3 restaurants on the way. We are a mature couple and had a first floor room. Good size traditional Japanese room with air-conditioning, fridge, table, seats, TV. 2 bathrooms on our floor - 1st women only and the 2nd mixed with a lovely hot bath. Very clean bathrooms. Very clean room. Very comfortable beds. Very good heating. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Great comfortable yutakas to relax in. Would highly recommend a stay here. Please remember this is a traditional ryokan so wooden floor's do make a little noise and small staircase to first floor - not to put you off as all part of the traditional experience/adventure which we love.

The staff was very friendly, and helped me figure out a bus schedule. The location was perfect right next to the ferry. I did the Shimanami Kaido, biked to Habu and took the ferry back. It dropped me right off next to the ryokan. The place has a full onsen, and was clean. I think some of the rooms may be smoker friendly, but I didn't notice any residual smell.

The room was on the small side, but I travel light so was not a problem. Also a consideration they look the doors at night, so if you're not in, you're not in!

This is a japaneese ryokan style of the stay, so you're sleeping on the floor. The room has everything what is needed to stay and live. Cannot say anything about the loaction as this was just a single night after compleeting Shimanami Kaido, Very, very friendly host. Be aware, that if you wants to return late at night and leave the place very early in the morning - this won't work. The place has its internal regulation.

If you're looking for an authentic stay during your Japan trip, I can safely recommend this ryokan. Maybe it seems that time has stopped somewhere in the 70's but it's what offers the charm of this place. Ideally located, when I arrived after cycling for the all day there was a warm bath waiting for me. The room has everything you could ask for during your stay.

Great location near the port not far from train station, traditional Ryokan with very friendly staff.

Being a family of 4 - we had to book two rooms one with 3 futons, and one that had one in it. Would have been convenient to be together, and there appeared room in the larger one for an additional futon but we understand if this is due to room capacities or similar regulations.

This place offered a fantastic deal—I had a private room for the price of a dormitory bed. The owners were flexible and let me store my bicycle in the lobby on a rainy day.

I think someone may have smoked in or near my room lately—it had a sort of ionized smell that’s used to get rid of strong odors.

We stayed here having cycled the Shimanami Kaido from Ominichi. It was easy to find and the owner was very helpful. The room was large with very good facilities: having en suite facilities was a welcome surprise.

It's at Imabari port, some way out of the town. We had to walk a fair way to find places to eat.

This is a beautiful Ryokan with lovely staff who were happy to have a little chat when we arrived and checked out. The rooms are spacious and very aesthetic with good amenities. The bathing facilities are fantastic and very relaxing after a long cycle route.

There isn't much to dislike. It was a lovely experience.

Lovely family-run typical Japanese ryokan. I loved the private bedroom, perfect to rest. The hotel was also very quiet and the staff friendly and accommodating when I asked for unplanned breakfast at 10am.

The location isn’t exciting as it’s close to the port but it’s very convenient for people who are finishing or starting the Shimananto kaido bike route.
