Staff was very hospitable and helpful. Food was great with a distinct character vis-à-vis the classic mountain cuisine, yet maintaining the roots. Ample choice of local wines from the Ossola Valley. The room was large and modern, with an alpine-style use of materials (e.g. wood), with balcony view on the Cervandone. Excellent position for visiting Devero / Formazza / Veglia and other nearby areas.

The only small downside was the shower pressure, too weak. Perhaps because the room was at the top floor.

The balcony is huge and the hostess was so sweet, it was my birthday and she gave me a gift. Awesome location to stay of you are climbing.

Location and nice view around the hotel. Working staff waiters, cleaning and other people working for the hotel were very nice, kind and well spoken. Views were great from the property. Hotel rooms were well furnished and clean. Although automatic extractors in the hotel toilet did t work well and dint get rid of smell.

Very first day my shower tray was blocked and the water was draining out onto the floor. I had to complain to the manger and she wasn’t apologetic but looked angrily at us as if it was my fault. No Apologies. It was later fixed but the guy left our door open (Ajar)when we came back to the room. All our personal belongings were in the room. Parking way was too narrow as we scratched our car and end up parking outside due to car park being full. The owner or the manager Ellena came across bit rude and arrogant, no skills for customer services. She needs more training how to handle international customers. when we Couldn’t understand few thing being non native Italians she was rude to begin with. Other working staff were very nice and polite. Breakfast choice was limited. And the cuisine didn’t care for all tastes. Vegetarian choice were limited. The other owners who I think Part of the same family don’t look very friendly. Working staff were great. They don’t speak much of English but great and polite people.

The hotel restaurant. Thought I would be in for a treat with extraordinary country food for dinner and breakfast, but turned out to be a disappointment. Portions were tiny, the chicken was surprisingly dry, texture a bit weird for game, fish was tasteless for wild river fish, sauce for all dishes was just not flavorful, and breakfast items mostly industrial food items. The most shocking part was the dessert. Surprised to have such bad pastry in Italy. The food and plating actually looked great and appetizing for all our orders, but biting into them proved otherwise.

Good location, comfortable beds

Appalling attitude of one member of staff who claimed to be the manager. When we arrived we commented that the superior deluxe with balcony (double bed and one single bed) did not have the single bed made up. We were told we did not take that option on booking.com. When we pointed out that option does not exist for this room (unlike a plain double where options for twin/double exist) we were told we were wrong. We politely asked if we could be given sheets we would make it up as it was a minor inconvenience though we were a group of trail runners doing a race the next day, so we wanted to sleep well).The lady (Elena/Elisa?) exploded. She was rude and obstructive throughout. The rest of the staff looked away with embarrassment. She looked at booking.com and when she saw the mistake was hers she simply closed the laptop and shouted at us. Finally the single bed was made up.
