Bathroom exceptionally clean. Floor and faucet looked new. Great to be able to choose breakfast items. Plenty of good food, nicely presented. Plenty of room in common areas. Nice front porch, complete with seating. A couple more rockers there would be nice. Jacob was pleasant and patiently took care of us

While preparing for the night, sitting on the bed, I noticed the corners of the walls were filthy. Just covered with dust floor to ceiling. The Inn overall was fine as far as cleanliness. Updating some items, such as changing the lighting in the bedroom hall from those inappropriate sconces to charming lanterns or more historic looking fixtures (does not need to be expensive, but not cheap looking); brighter lighting throughout, esp in the breakfast area; making the breakfast area more charming, being careful not to add tacky decorations/light fixtures, but thoughtfully designed. A taller (counter height) and more attractive table for the drinks would be a nice touch.

It took a little while to check in… the attendant was on a call with a gentleman from Canada planing a trip for the fall.. He did eventually check me in and I raced to the bathroom. After a well deserved restroom break (4 hours in the car). I was pleasantly surprised by the room. The bathroom was very nice as well… above expectations. Sink drain was a little slow and never used the shower. Restaurant down stairs was great, and very convenient. There was a 45 min wait but back upstairs to the room, and the hostess called us when our table was ready. Great inn would recommend again. A little pricey but it is a holiday week during ski season so…. Way Better than the resort prices. Breakfast was a great bonus, and the cook/server was very nice.

Price… a little high, and the room was a little warm…. The town is very small with everything shutting down around 9. All in all no big complaints.

Great location, easy to find, just funky enough, charming. And a pub in the cellar. Let us bring the ebikes in to charge on the veranda. Coffee downstairs in the foyeur was a treat in the morning. Great seats out on the porch, good hang-out vibe.

Not many food options in town, and the drinks policy was a bit restrictive considering there were so many great spots to hang out. Dining room was closed, but had a very good breakfast bar in the morning.

Location!! There was a lot to see and do and yet it was away from the busy congested areas like Stowe. The staff are the owners and they are SUPER kind and accommodating! The inn is very old and has a lot of character and history, so it is not the most modern hotel, but is certainly up to date on comfort and charm. We loved the WONDERFUL made to order breakfasts. We also enjoyed evening time by the living room fireplace and getting to know other guests while working on the jigsaw puzzle.

Very cute, rustic old place, at a great location in the town center. Nice lobby area with fireplace, comfy couches, coffee, games for the kids, etc. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The inn served a tasty complementary breakfast made to order in the mornings. I also found the adjoining restaurant/tavern to be excellent: good selection of beers, and to eat I had a wonderful tomato basil soup there one of my evenings and a great taco salad the other. The beds in my room were small but clean and comfortable.

One very minor issue with the beds in my room was that their headboards were not quite firmly enough attached to the beds, so leaning back on the headboard for reading or using my tablet would make the headboard bump against the wall. I was worried the noise of that might bother neighbors, but did not get any complaints.

This was perfect for our trip. We have 4 kids, so the family room with three beds was perfect for our needs clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast. Great staff You can walk to the general store just a minutes walk away for supplies. It's a really cool historic building! My daughter thought it was creepy.😆 The rest of us thought it was awesome cool! The room was warm and comfortable. They had shampoo and conditioner and soap, plenty of towels... Extra blankets in the cupboard, plenty of outlets to charge our devices. Games in the living room were fun for my kids. Honestly- it had everything we needed.

The family room is located right above the living room with games. One Sunday night some boys were playing games and were quite loud, so they kept us up for an hour, but it wasn't too late when they left. Just know that it's an inn from the 1700s so the insulation is not going to be tip top 😊 The hot tub was out of service

Surprisingly for the USA, they had proper breakfast which you choose the night before (although the portion was quite small). The hotel is in a pretty vintage house with matching interior and paintings - really set the vibe. Room itself is good enough, no complaints.

The parking is plentiful but not as well-lit and secure (maybe?) as I would like with a rental car but I'm sure there's nothing to worry about in a small Vermont town. Would have liked to have a fridge. Don't let these cons give you the wrong impression as I would still come again.

What's not to like?? One thing, as I told Pat... more hooks on the walls would be GREAT ! Maybe four? Oh, and brighter light bulbs. THAT'S IT! Everything else, the food, the family running the Hotel, those who help them.... YAY ! BTW, this is CAROLE, not ALAN, writing this, but he concurs.

Well, it wasn't DISLIKED, just a bit inconvenient, for lack of a better word..... brighter light bulbs would be wonderful. Anyone who doesn't love this place is either blind, or strange. It's that good.

Nice soft mattress, situated in a great location. Games a nice touch, and the porch was great to just chill out, and take in the peaceful town. Wish we could stay another night, but they were booked up according to the website.

Only gripe is the noise from other customers. Some from 4am, and it clearly stated quiet between 10am-7am, but SN can't be held responsible for that. Next time, I'll ask for a room at the end of the hall.

This is a very charming house with lots of old beautiful pieces of furniture. While it is old, the bedding was comfortable as well as newer shower and a jacuzzi tub.We were enjoying their complimentary breakfast served by very nice waitress.

Our room was a bit small with only one chair. So either my wife or I ended up sitting on a bed if wanted to take a 5-min break. I guess this is what we paid for...
