This may be an older hotel but don't let that detract you. It is very clean and well kept. My room was a nice size and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really loved sitting outside by the water. It was so peaceful. I did not try the breakfast because I am not a breakfast person and it was down a flight of stairs, and I don't do stairs very well, but I'm told it's really good. I have a feeling if I had asked for something, they would have accommodated me. They have hot tubs and other extra amenities. The location was great and close to everything. It was too early skiing but the slopes for Mn.t Mitchel are conveniently down the road. If ever in the area, I will come back!

A gem up in Stowe Vermont. The inn is a Austrian style hotel located on mountain rd about 1.5 mi from the ski resort. I have to say I was very pleased with the updates to the lodge. New furniture, bathroom remodel, fixtures, sinks etc. Everything was refreshed. So, same exellent buffet style breakfast, even the same chef. Soup and snacks in the evening, and hypoallergenic would be my description of the rooms! Clean, would be another, from the sheets to towels, clean. Friendly staff, ample parking, easy check in. Some other note worthy items, hot water seemed plentiful, and upon turning on faucet, quickly the water turned warm. A cozy inviting ski lodge at a reasonable price. And I have to say this, in stowe there aren't many breakfast restaurants so a big bonus on the free breakfast. Also, I didnt take any pics, what was on booking was acurate. Exellent value. Inside tip... if you are looking to save money, when done skiing, pick up a sandwich in town, maybe at Shaws, head back to the inn, enjoy it with the free soup and snacks they provide and 10 bucks or so you have dimner.

Breakfast was generous and good. Bed was comfortable and appreciated having a tub in my room. The hotel was quiet but it could have been a quieter time of year. We appreciated having access to the grounds and wished we used more of the amenities. Parking and check in were very easy.

The pillows were flat and the water pressure could have been better. Also the blackout curtains were nice but blocked the AC unit. We were both hot on the first night.

My wife and I have been here twice and we love everything about it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel decor and grounds remind us of visiting in Vienna and Innsbruck, and the area is peaceful. The breakfast is great too, as well as the nice hot tubs and proximity to hiking trails. We hope and pray that we're able to come again many, many more times. We love it. Old school Austrian charm! :)

The inn looked well kept, and the grounds were lovely. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Loved that it was dog friendly. We enjoyed using the pool & the hot tubs.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. When we tried to use the provided hairdryer in the room, smoke came out of it. We were on the bottom floor, so there was a lot of noise from upstairs at certain times.

Amazing hot breakfast with fresh blueberry pancakes and friendly, attentive staff. I really liked that you could borrow the bikes free of charge and ride along the bike path into town. The hiking trails are all nearby if you have a car and downtown area is a short 5-10 min drive away. Rooms are very spacious and have been recently renovated. The robes in the room and the outdoor jacuzzis are a nice touch, especially after a long day of hiking.

They are one of the few hotels that allow dogs. However, the pet policy is quite strict compared to other hotel policies I've come across. They do not allow you to leave your dog in the room alone. The amenities in the room like the coffee could be better upgraded. There were also random holes on the 2nd floor being covered up by large wooden planks and the paint job seemed rushed. The lawn furniture is peaceful to sit on by the river out back but was covered by some bird poop which made it less pleasant.

The staff are great! We enjoyed our little vacation at New England, so happy to have found this hotel. The sauna, the spa, the pool and the creek and covered bridge right behind the inn, so charming! Interior is great, spacious and nicely decorated. It’s low season so we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet.

I like everything in it! Room is very clean and spacious, linens and towels smell so good even the bath toiletries. My family enjoyed the pool, hot tubs and the hot breakfast is very good! Parking is free and spacious. They also offer complimentary bike rental and sports equipment, even board games! Good location I love the ambiance and is very close to Mt Mansfield and Stowe Gondola Skyride. Staff are very nice and friendly and Bryan the manager is awesome! He even sorted right away the misunderstanding I had with the pet issue from what I have read! Everything was great - exceeded mg expectation! We really enjoyed our stay, definitely will stay again if I come back to Stowe!

Breakfast was nice and well-stocked, tasty, lots of offerings. We loved the complimentary use of the bicycles and access to the rec trail out in back of the hotel. Comfy beds. Very friendly staff.

Arrived late, 11.30pm, the key for my room was in am envelope at reception. Very easy access. Large room with comfortable bed and also comfortable cushions. All guests were very quiet and respectful. Breakfast is down stairs in a cozy room.
