Breakfast wasn’t included per description however we were pleasantly surprised that there were complimentary bagels, toast, English muffins, oatmeal, donuts, various cereals and milk as well as coffee and tea. There was a box where you can leave a tip which we were very happy to do. Will at the front desk was super friendly and gave us many good recommendations of what to do in the area. Our main reason for coming to Stowe was for hiking. We would definitely come back again.

The building and decor is very dated however it has a lot of potential.

For the price point this is an exception hotel,it was what hotels were before chain hotels,I loved it,it brought me back to a time before smart phones ,when people gathered around the fireplace after a day skiing and just enjoyed the time away,huge lobby with great sitting areas,was it dated....who cares,it was an experience that was prior to the the worst invention ever made .....the cell phone. Two pools ,large rooms,friendly people, I can not say enough about this hotel except I wish I had seen it when I was young because it would have been a destination in Stowe,you can still see the grandure of that still today and I think it's spectacular

My wife and I were on a motorcycle so only stayed one night because rain was coming in,otherwise we would have stayed longer and enjoyed the roads around Vermont.

Great service at the front desk. Loved the third-party restaurant attached to the inn. Good food and unique free access to the kayak, canoe, and boat sitting on the pond next to the restaurant. Pool and hot tub were excellent - wood paneling in that room made it feel like the quaint Vermont inn we expected.

Air conditioning unit in room kept blowing on us periodically and then turned off for long periods. It was hard to sleep consistently putting covers on when cold and taking them off when warm again. Adjusting the room temperature didn't help fix this really.

Good sized room with comfortable beds. Hot drink maker in the room. The availability of hot drinks 24/7 in the foyer and the free continental breakfast options were all we needed. The on-site restaurant The Penalty Box served up nice food with friendly waiting and bar staff. The swimming pool looked nice too although we didn't use it on this trip. Good selection of items in vending machines by the stairs.

There were no net curtains on the windows and during the day we felt a bit exposed from the rooms/walkway windows on the same ground level as us - we had to draw the curtains when walking around without many clothes on which was a bit dark.

A really nice family run hotel. Great location, very close, about 5 min drive to Stowe town centre. And although the breakfast was not included in the price, they did have quite a few things like cereals, breads, and other breakfast items on the house. I really liked the way the staff actually went out of the way to help you to get what you wanted for breakfast. The rooms were cosy, clean and everything worked perfectly.

I found it a bit strange they did not do housekeeping for the rooms, citing Covid. Not that we needed it, but if you’re staying for longer than a night, you might miss a fresh room.

The Inn is very pet friendly. I brought my cat and dog. There's plenty of outdoor space for walking the dog around the grounds and little lake. Outdoor pool and indoor jacuzzi were very nice. Restaurant was not open but is supposed to open soon. It has nice decks overlooking the pool and pond. The Stowe Yacht club had a remote-controlled sail boat race going on all weekend. It was interesting to watch. Staff was very friendly to my dog and very accommodating with early check-in and allowing me to have a guest visit to use the pool and grounds. I even brought my bike and stored it in the ski closet until I road the Stowe bike path. This location in the lower village avoids all the traffic in town and on Rt 108. All around great choice!

For the utmost convenience, it would be nice if the room had microwaves. There are microwaves in the coffee/tea area in the lounge but in the room would be better.

Super friendly and helpful staff who even went above and beyond to reunite us with a well-loved stuffy before we checked out. Indoor pool was a hit with the little guys. Curtains allowed for blackout, separate towels available for the pools.

Breakfast wasn't enough for us to hang around for. We opted for a table at a restaurant down the street to get more out and about time in Stowe, but it would be enough for some folks for a quick bite before heading out. There wasn't any shade available at the outdoor pool - which made it a no-go for us at the time we were there.

The Inn was just south of the Stow crowds. It is a very well maintained facility with a wonderful restaurant attached (NC Penalty Box). They had a free breakfast option, but we had a reservation for the Vonn Trapp Lodge's breakfast that morning.

This place more than met our standards and the restaurant attached had very friendly staff and excellent food!

Beds and pillows are soft and comfortable. Room temperature is great, just about right, no need to keep adjusting! Location is good, it's near to most of the places we want to go.

It will be better if breakfast is included with the price, unfortunately staff said they don't have anyone to manage the kitchen, it's sad. Saw a hair on the tub, but did not make a big deal, maybe next time clean better. There's a lamp on the table but not plug in and nowhere to plug, so can't use at all.

The price was reasonable compared to inns or B&B in the Stowe, Barre, Burlington, Northfield ($900-$1000 per night) area but still quite expensive per night. $288 per night should be prime room accommodations, but I guess for this area, $288 is good. I understand Vermont goes out of its way to keep chain retail companies out to allow family businesses to thrive, but hotels might be one area to change this rule.

The room was a bit shabby but not dirty. It needs a refresh.
