This place had a cozy feeling, and I can tell during the winter, I bet this place thrives! It felt like a true ski resort; the games and Loding area was more than expected. The rooms felt like mini apartments. LOVED the texting option with keeping communication with the front office. Easy & convenient!

The room had minimal counter space, and the room never got cleaned throughout the week stay (they told us to remove our door sign when we wanted the room serviced) to our surprise after a long day of hiking, we had no fresh towels or wash cloths. We texted to get more towels (thinking they would bring us a fresh new set for the room) and she arrived with 2 towels (not even enough for 3 guests). We also had to have the trash requested to be picked up, as it felt like there was no proper space for it. Loved the family-owned feel to this place, but for the price we paid- we would think basic needs like that would of been in rotation. Breakfast was also not a hit for our stay, by 9am most food was gone- so get there early.

We stayed in the trail house, which was beautifully decorated and spacious overlooking the pool. It had the cabin feel but modern. The staff were very accomadating and the breakfast pastries were so delicious! My kids loved the hot chocolate station and the board games that were in the lounge areas The cabin had a refrigerator (a microwave would have been fab, but the lobby area had one) The location is perfectly situated in walking distance of the quaint shops in Stowe.

The ONLY critique I could make is that the sofa bed in the lounge was not as comfortable as the main bedrooms bed.

The staff actually upgraded our room upon seeing that we were staying a week which was very nice. The free breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. My wife booked the hot tub by appointment and staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The look of the place is very unique with plenty of stuff to look at and read. Only downsides were the shower took a long time to get to the temperature desired and could be awkward to turn on. The AC unit was noisy. The view outside one of our windows was a broken gutter. It's great there was a bar attached to the hotel but it's also a double edged sword becuase music and customers are on the loud side until 9pm Thursday-Sunday. We honestly looked over all this though as the stay was exceptional.

Loved the small plate breakfast. It was a little different each morning and very yummy. We loved the hot tub (make sure you make a reservation so you can have it all to yourselves. Each cottage was large and adorably decorated. It was clean, modern, and the beds were so comfortable. We also greatly appreciated the bon fire each night. The location was outstanding! We were not far from some excellent restaurants (literally walked across the street to one of them) and some amazing hiking trails were nearby also. The cute little town was just a 5 minute drive from the lodge. We loved everything about our experience and hope to return someday.

Nothing. Everything was GREAT!

We loved all the amenities of Field Guide Lodge. The rooms were comfortable, the downstairs amenities were great. We loved all the areas to hangout in and the board games to play. The bar was nice too. We didn't get a chance to try the hot tub but it looked nice. The Breakfast was fine! Enough options to get full on before heading out for the day. It changed a little bit every day, some fruit salad, a pastry, and an egg dish. We also loved the location, not on the Main Street but close enough to everything where it was just a short drive or a 15min walk away.

Some finishes in the room could've been neater. Some tiles on the floor were loose, you could see the gap between the flooring and the wall. The shower faucet was angled too much towards the wall so showering was a bit awkward, the shower door didn't have a tight seal so there was water leaking. There was also a stain on the carpet next to the bed. Nothing too terrible that disrupted our stay at all, but just a few minor things that if fixed, could really elevate the resort.

Great location to town and restaurants opposite. Lovely looking place Fab hot tub after a day of hiking Reception staff are really helpful and polite. The pumpkin breakfast muffin and quiche are delicious! Nice shower Toiletries were lush Good mini fridge in room My birthday card and cookies and popcorn and face mask were an absolute delight and surprise!

There’s no room safe to keep passport in and money. The air con was good but the machine was noisy. The breakfast isn’t great. The ‘hot’ water for tea is not hot ! It’s barely warm which is no good for making tea. There’s no elevator and when you have heavy luggage to carry up 2 flights of stairs it’s not ideal. Also after a day of hiking up mountains your legs and knees hurt walking up stairs! It’s really bad the hotel bar is not open half the week and was closed every day we stayed there.

Welcoming staff, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. I am still thinking about the delicious breakfast! There were different options every day and those croissants they serve are OUTSTANDING! Located perfectly withing the village, we were able to comfortably walk to shops and restaurants. The lounge areas are so inviting, you can easily find a cozy corner to unwind and reflect. I can't wait to come back!!!

Stayed in cottage suite one. Would be nice to have a place to hang your coats up near the door. The bathroom got a bit chilly and it would be nice to have a little heat. Needed a small waste basket in one of the bedrooms.

The breakfast was amazing. Location was very convenient and room was spacious and comfortable.

At check-in, we weren't advised as to amenities (including where and when breakfast was) or anything else. We had to find it all on the link from a text. We also didn't like that fires out back were repeatedly left to smoke excessively (set and then not attended). The smoke burned our eyes. We were going to have the extra smores event but decided against it for that reason.

Quaint and cozy, love the breakfast, love the variety of lounge spots and proximity to main town.

Rooms can be a bit cold. We went in November and the AC units were still in the windows allowing for a lot of cold draft coming in. Room are really not sound proof (but not a deal breaker for us). The gap from the floor to the door frames also brings lots of draft, LOTS of light and adds to the sound being able to trickle in from lobby and hallway.

Location was excellent! Walk to Stowe centre and bars and restaurants and 12 minute drive to Stowe skiing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambiance was lovely and the lobby bar areas very nice to sit in. We used the outdoor hot tub both nights of our stay and really enjoyed it. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again next year.

The lifts start running at Stowe mountain at 8am but breakfast didn't start till 8am (they did let us in at 7.50 but not everything was out) this seemed strange for a ski resort hotel. They really needed to be fully open for breakfast at 7.30 so that people could grab a quick 15 minute breakfast and get to the mountain by 8 am.
