Very nice property and room; clean and comfortable.Good for our dog.

We were disappointed that there was no longer a free continental breakfast offered. In our beforehand research and looking at reviews, we had a clear impression that cereal/ yogurt/ bagels/ etc. were recently offered. So we didn’t bring our own for the mini fridge. But this has been discontinued as they are in process of building a new kitchen area. I think they could have been clearer about this; or waited to discontinue the complimentary breakfast until after the new facility opens. Also the “soundproof” rooms , while generally quiet, were not truly soundproof. IMHO the room was no quieter than any other modern hotel .

Sun and ski inn was quite literally the best inn I have ever stayed at! The receptionist was extremely warm and helpful, and the property was also beautiful. They had a mini golf course right outside, which was incredible as well! There was also a campfire (as well as cookies and other amenities at the front desk). The rooms were also two stories tall, and each can house up to 10 (maybe 11 if you squeeze in the couch) people. The bathroom and kitchen area was also super clean. Even though we only stayed there for one night, I would give the inn more than 5 stars if I could!

I recently stayed at the Sun & Ski Inn and had a fantastic experience. The check-in process was incredibly seamless; the staff had everything prepared in advance, and I was able to check in within 10 minutes—smooth as a breeze! One of the highlights of my stay was the smart TV in my room, which featured apps like Netflix and YouTube. This was a lifesaver, especially since it rained during my visit, leaving us stuck indoors. Being able to enjoy some of our favorite shows made the stay even more enjoyable. Also a good number of breakfast items were sourced locally, which added a nice touch to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Sun & Ski Inn for a pleasant and convenient stay!

One downside was that getting to the main building for breakfast was a hassle due to the disconnected buildings and the rain. We ended up getting wet on the way.

This hotel is beautiful! Very well maintained and clean. Each room had its own patio area in the back, facing a big yard and river. I was not expecting that - it was sooooo nice!! The staff was very nice, professional and pleasant! I have to give a big shout out to Ethan at the front desk! He really helped us out with our booking, and he just made our experience that much better! He was just wonderful!! We will definitely stay here again!

Not a single issue for us :) If I had to list 1 thing - maybe include liquid creamer with the K cups in the room. But that's it, and I'm only noting it here because the site is requiring me to type a few sentences, Lol!

Lots of green space backing onto a river, and other amenities we were unable to enjoy due to the rain. Eg. Patio with chairs; badminton. Our superior double room was quiet and sink outside bathroom was handy. Nice to have onsite restaurant in the bowling alley lounge. Delicious food (especially Vermont maple cheesecake) and helpful staff. Enjoyed hard boiled egg, blueberry yogurt and delicious corn muffin for breakfast. Great selection of non-perishable items for breakfast (including granola bars) topped up regularly. Short drive to downtown.

AC did not work well; room still quite warm. Small, warm breakfast room but can take items with you. Lock on our bathroom door was tricky. Watch out for the beautiful but low hanging flowers baskets – walked into one 😊

Front desk staff always very nice and helpful, after a long trip (we live in CT) it's nice to be treated with a warm hello. We liked our room in particular, #2, very close to office, where we often stop in for coffee and cookie, very good. But must of all we"ll miss sliding, we got the scoop at the frond desk that major upgrades are coming, we hope that the sliding door will remain.

No secret that breakfast room is not liked by many. We did our own mini survey,we asked other guests and they agreed its got to go.

Loved the location! Walking distance to many restaurants and shops, along with the Stowe recreation path, Cady hill forest, and the little river - which the dog absolutely LOVED wading in! Super comfortable little room, with a beautiful patio overlooking the river. Fridge and microwave were a great convenience so I could bring some drinks and snacks. They also had breakfast available in the lobby in the morning, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, etc. Picked this hotel because it looked to be one of the nicer pet friendly accommodations in town and it did not disappoint! Loved my stay at the Sun and Ski Inn and hope to bring the dog back for another little Stowe adventure some day!

The coffee in the room was pretty awful. It was one of those old timey single serve coffee pod machines, so you don't have the option of just using better coffee from the grocery store. The coffee in the lobby is MUCH better.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. This was my 3rd time staying here and I have nothing to complain about. The location is great. The Staff is nice and the rooms are nice and clean.

I have nothing to complain about to be honest. No problems this time around but even when we did last time the staff handled it very well. We were here in January and our door lock got frozen shut but they helped us out right away and even gave us a free round of bowling for the inconvenience. Very professional and nice environment.

This place is truly special! The staff was the kindest group of people we have ever come across. We loved having the bowling alley and mini golf course on site. It was beautiful watching the sun set behind the hotel by the river. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub - they were so well taken care of and lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The staff were really friendly and kind. It was a great set up for my dog with well manicured grounds that we could walk her on. And it was great being so close to the Stowe recreation path. We were able to walk to dinner as it was a nice night. This is our second time staying there and we will definitely recommend it to friends and we will be back!
