We were there during the flood during the week of July 10, 2023. We had planned to stay two nights, but weren't anticipating not being able to leave the mountain as we had other activities planned. The rooms were very quiet, the wifi was very fast, the cable TV selections were good, and the TVs were equipped for streaming common apps. With the flood happening at the bottom of the hill, BV made extra effort to open up the market and restaurant (portions were large and price was reasonable) and rec center and pool (free of charge) on a day when most of those things were supposed to be closed. We enjoyed the beautiful disc golf course (rec center loaned us discs for free given the situation). Best of all, the ladies at the front desk went above and beyond to find out the road closure situation (from friends and other locals) at the bottom of the hill to let the guests know the latest situation. BV was a great place to be stranded and I am hoping one day to return during the winter to try out the skiing.

Rec center didn't open until 10 each day, but local roads were runner friendly (aside from the hills :))

Wonderful view, great staff and clean rooms! Lots of places to hike and bike.

A bit expensive for what it has to offer, wish the stores were open longer

While the area and hotel itself were quiet, the walls were thin but our neighbors weren't bad. I loved the access to the pool, hottub and sauna also

Super convenient to be able to stay right on the mountain and ski in/out, it was quite clean in spite of all the ski gear coming/going from the rooms, and the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The bathroom was very small but overall we were comfortable and have no complaints.

It was nice but in going up the mountain, a sign ot 2 saying "keep going, it's just a little farther" would have been encouraging at dusk.

Wish the little store was open later.

Bar wasn’t open late. Breakfast okay but not gluten free friendly. Price should be more reasonable for off skiing season.

the inn is embedded on the ski resort which makes access to everything super easy. we loved the James Moore tavern and the pizza. the rooms were spacious and the beds super cozy. great spot if you want everything in one place.

lots of loud families stomping through the property early to get to the slopes was annoying. for the price of the room we would have liked to see Atleast one more dining option on the resort.

that the pool was a long walk away , on-site food did not have a large selection and the on-site grocery store and deli had odd hours

Something happens as you drive up the mountain to base camp that transforms you and takes you to a different time and place if you allow it.
