The location was perfect with easy access to the mountain, town, and overall area. We went in the Fall and really enjoyed the vibrant colors, hiking trails, and taking the Gondola. The hotel room was cozy with views of the River. The hotel itself has nice areas for guests both inside and outside.

It would have been nice to have a coffee option in the room itself. Staff were late in the morning and the Lobby coffee station was not open on time. There were a number of guests waiting and so we ended up heading into town a little earlier than planned.

We stayed for two nights in August. Front desk person was helpful and understanding and facilitated a room change after the initial room I was given was unsatisfactory given that I had paid for an upgrade from my original reservation. The grounds are lovely and the recreational facilities good. The rooms modern, stylish, clean and comfortable though some stains on furniture upholstery. Easy access to Stowe surroundings and village, Lots of lawn for families with children to play on and older folks to enjoy. Had live music with an exceptional Irish and American folk band performing on lawn one evening -- perfect for the setting.

Nice modern lodge with beautiful grounds but seems to be a range in what kind of setting you may end up looking at outside your room from a beautiful lawn and stream to a parking lot.

There was no breakfast offered, however there was a place across the street offering breakfast with a discount if staying at Talta. The area is lovely and very zen. The back of the property has several fire pits near the small river where you can sit and enjoy a fire with a drink and the hot tub is there as well. Small details, such as robes and a night light to bring out if going to the hot tub made it feel like we were staying a thoughtful friends place. Well decorated as well. There is a bit of road noise but mostly in the morning and you can hear people walking in the hall way but that did not bother us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff is wonderfully welcoming! Dakota, who was at the front desk, went out of her way to help us find a cab when our Uber didn’t work out. She was so kind and accommodating, even offering us water and hot cocoa while we waited. The decor of Tälta beautifully blends modern touches with timeless elegance. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the location is fantastic, perfectly situated between the mountain and the town of Stowe!

The price was relatively high, but it was a holiday weekend in Vermont. The restaurant on the premises typically doesn’t allow walk-in reservations, only at the bar, which is rarely available. It’s essential to create an exception or allow guests staying at the property to make reservations at the restaurant, especially given the cost. Perhaps in the future, they can open up a café or another less formal option so guests can come and go and eat if they are snowed in!

We had an amazing stay at Tälta Lodge. The hotel is perfectly located to have a fast and easy access to the ski resort, which is just a couple of minutes down the road. The property is beautiful and we had a great room on the second floor with a view of the river. The amenities are great, especially having a hot tub and sauna after a long day of skiing! The hot tub is very spacious so you can almost always get a spot when you want to use it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I would always stay here again.

I found the hot tub a little smelly, but it wasn’t bad enough that it impacted my experience.

This place was a dream! We came for a midweek getaway and was looking for a place with high speed internet to get some work done. Internet was great, even outside! Loved being able to call into meetings sitting in an Adirondack chair overlooking the river. When we weren’t working, we loved lounging on our semi private balcony, playing lawn games, and making s’mores in the evening. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place that fits the bill for so many types of visitors, but this place does it. It’s a great place for a large group of friends, a romantic getaway, or a family with children. There were many families with young children - they seemed to be having a blast! As far as the rooms, the bed was really comfortable and we appreciated the ductless heating/cooling system (seems cleaner than central air). Also loved the fellow electric kettle. The location was great with easy access to good restaurants and activities, including the Stowe recreational path. Next time we’re in Stowe, this is where we’ll be coming!

Lack of privacy - you have to close the shades while changing since people can walk past your room. Not a deal breaker for us but for others it might be. We had to turn off the master switch to turn off the overhead light, but this cut the power for the entire room so we couldn’t charge our phones overnight. I will note that there was a light switch with no functionality, so maybe this was the issue for us?

The room was very spacious It had a mini fridge, along with a kettle to make coffee in the room. Front desk staff was very helpful Location was great The atmosphere was very relaxing and definitely a place to go for R&R. Quite overall only minor sounds when people are walking by or coming down the stairs. They also have a sauna and pool as well but we didn't get to use it. Hiking trails not too far away and access to food places around town.

The washroom fans was on 24/7 due to air circulation. Garbage bins on the smaller end. It would be nice to have a table to be able to sit and eat our food.

We stopped at Talta overnight to rest from a long drive. The location is beautiful. The greenery and the creek put us in a relaxed mood. The facilities have a water fountain and lots of shared areas. The room was cozy but had everything we needed for our one night visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our late arrival. We were also given a gift card for our next visit.

We arrived past midnight and our room cards did not work but after one phone call and 20 minutes of wait the staff resolved the issue without a problem.

The location was great! So close to everything we wanted to explore and experience. Just off the main road and 2 restaurants right across the way. It was nice having our own little outside seating area too! We were able to go out in the morning with coffee and at night to look at the sky.

It was a little loud, as you could hear people shutting their doors late, but you have to expect that from most places you stay. We did need something from the front desk, but after 9 there was nobody at the desk. We could have called the number, but we worked it out. Was not an urgent request. Wish there was one more light in the room, even if it was a small table lamp, as the side lamps are hard to get to, tucked in by the bed.

The breakfast was a surprise as we weren’t expecting anything but found yogurt, fruit, granola, nuts, peanut butter and oat treat, juices and water with citrus. We enjoyed it. The place is gorgeous and so is the property. We kept finding little hidden treasures throughout the lodge with places for guests to relax.

Our deck and outside leading into the room needs some TLC. Would have liked more lighted in room. Signage to hot tub could be improved and it would be nice if the water was a little warmer.
