The breakfast room was a pure delight, beautiful deco , clean and shinning and id say the finest ive ever eaten in as it was so peacful and great way to start the day, The staff were very friendly and professional, attentive but not overpowering ,the choice of foods was exceptional and the best Scrambled eggs ive ever tasted that went down well withe the sausages and bacon and boiled eggs cooked to perfection , from every type of Cheeses and cold meats to beautiful breads fresh fruits and pickles and tomatoes , Cucumbers and Yogurts, realy great coffee and teas and fruit juices and the list goes on, brilliant in every way, I even got the scrambled egg recipe from the chef as it was 5 stars

The hotel's location is good in relation to the city centre, with only a five to ten minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants and train station should you choose to visit other nearby cities. I must commend the staff who worked in the Hotel Ostmeier who were very friendly and very helpful. The room I stayed in was very clean, tidy, and attended to every day by cleaning staff. There is pretty much what you need in the room for a short stay. There is a good choice of food for breakfast, in a nice relaxed dining area, and you were not rushed to finish. In short, the Hotel Ostmeier is a nice traditional hotel with great staff that is certainly worth considering if you're looking to stay in Bochum.

The only two aspects of this hotel that are a slight minus is that the surrounding area of the hotel doesn't look great, so on the approach to it you start to wonder what the hotel is going to be like? However, this is not a failing of the hotel, but if you are looking for somewhere in a picturesque area, this is not it. The second issue is that I found the hotel's decor to be a little dated, but that said, you should not let this detract you from realising this is a good hotel to stay in with the plus points outwaying any bad, especially when you consider the price.

Good location on the Westring, staff was super friendly. The room was on the smaller side and the interior looks a bit dated, but everything was working, clean and comfortable, so no complaints there. Breakfast was good and if you have a travel mug, you can always get a coffee to take away with you for the day. They don't have a 24h reception but you'll get a key so you really can come and go as you please. I for sure would stay here again.

Convenient location, room very clean, good breakfast

Parking options were not well explained at check in. There is a parking garage opposite the hotel, but it is closed on Sunday, so if you park over nite on Saturday, you can not get your car out until Monday! Also there should be better instructions on how to use the room key to enter the hotel after hours. Luckily we fingered out where the lock was.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff were all so sweet and helpful and we only had good impressions from the second we got there to the moment we left. The breakfast especially was an outstanding experience where the staff made sure there were room for everyone, showed you to a free table, and asked what kind of hot drink you'd like. You then got your own little pot of said drink, making the experience feel a lot more expensive than it really was. The room was really nice, we had a lot of space and though it was a bit noisy outside, we didn't have any problems to sleep. The cleaning could possibly have been a little bit better during the daily tidy up, but it really didn't bother us. The kindness of the staff outshone any negative impressions we might have had, and we ended up enjoying our stay so much we wished we didn't have to leave. We'll stay here again the next time for sure.

The one thing I didn't like was that the lights by the bed were too bright. It was near impossible to fall asleep while my roommate wanted to stay up and read. But I got myself a sleeping mask and then the problem was solved.

We liked all of facilities. It was warm in the room, good bathroom. Very nice breakfast and minibar. Personal is friendly. Our room goes to the big street, so it was some noisy in the morning but curtains helped with this problem too. The location is well, near are many cafe and restaurants. The person from reception helped us to call the taxi. It has come very quickly. We recommend this hotel.

I really liked the attentiveness of the staff during breakfast: the room was small but well furnished.

It's a pity that the wellness area wasn't open (though I didn't check for myself, but trusted the website). I also suggest swapping the duvets for lighter bedlinen during the summer months, as it was really warm in the room a couple of nights.

It's all about the location! A few minutes walk from the U station, 15 minutes walk from the city center and main station, and right in front of the beautiful Christuskirche. This is a winning location in every way. The room was cute and clean, and the staff was friendly.

The shower's rubber bottom had been torn, resulting in water leaking out and requiring towel drying.

Easy to find, it's a short walk from Bochum train station around the ring road. Easy walking distance to plenty of bars/restaurants. Breakfast served in a lovely room and until a decent time of morning. Reception staff excellent and friendly.

Mattress was a little lumpy so a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Hotel is located very close to the city center. There're several parking garages in the neighbourhood in case you arrive by car and didn't check the hotel parking facilities. Even the single room bed is pretty wide and comfortable. My room windows were facing the backyard with a nice view of sunset in the evening. Breakfast is decent.

Air conditioning is not available in the room, so if you get to the hotel in a hot summer day, be ready to sleep with all the windows open.
