Have stayed here previously. Enjoyed our previous stay so booked again.

Getting into the spa to have a shower. Also body soap dispenser too far away from shower head. Suggest a non slip mat so moving from in and out from under the shower head to reach the soap dispenser, would mitigate slips or falls.

very clean and nice. all rooms were clean and we had everything that we needed! we wish we booked for longer!

the carpark was a total maze we had to go back and forth a few times then go back up one level as there was no parking at the 4th level where our lift access was. the lady did mark out the route but it was still very confusing. the downstairs bedroom has no heating at all nor does the heating from living room warm it up.. we had a baby sleeping in there and it was very cold as the window was in front of us. also, I wish house keeping wouldn’t laugh and talk so loud when their outsides rooms..we requested a late checkout last minute and it wasn’t relayed onto housekeeping so they woke us up and walked in asking us how long until we leave very abrupt.

We had a wonderful stay at this two-bedroom apartment on the Great Ocean Road. The space was incredibly spacious, clean, and well-equipped—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The balcony was a highlight, offering beautiful sea views and visits from friendly local white parrots that would land on the railings, adding a unique and entertaining touch to our stay. Inside, the large lounge and kitchen provided everything we needed, and having Netflix and a TV made evenings cozy. The apartment was also very quiet, ensuring a peaceful rest. Overall, we highly recommend this place for its comfort, location, and little surprises from nature! We’d love to stay here again. Free parking too!

The unti was really spacious with a large lounge that had a large couch and arm chairs which doubled as a sofa bed. Great aircon/heating, TV and dining table. It also had a full adjoining kitchen with all the mod cons. It looked to be relatively newly renovated and everything was super clean and updated. The bathroom was large and included a laundry, vanity toilet and spa bath/shower. I have stayed at the Cumberland on a few occasions and the room was better than I had expected where in the past the rooms were a little tired. If this is the new standard then I am impressed.

The bedroom was a little small and the bed was limited to a queen which we are not used to but I think this is standard at the Cumberland. We did request a quiet room as we planned to sleep in after catching up with friends but we could hear the children running around up stairs first thing in the morning. It would have been better to be on the top floor.

Stayed here for one night in Nov. Will recommend this place if you intend to stay overnight in Lorne. It’s centrally located, with many nearby cafes and eateries. Car park is free (subjected to availability) and lots are big enough to fit a SUV. Apartments are spacious, with a great view of the ocean (for upper floors) and good amenities (washing machine, dryer and a comfortable jacuzzi bath tub).

The building and the lift seem slightly old. I’ll also advise against opening the sliding door to the balcony if you want to avoid cockatoos flying in.

I loved the apartment IV stayed in a few resort apartments before and nothing took my breath away like this one , the photos online did it no justice as the view was just exquisite it's a beautiful part of the world to escape too the shops are quirky there is everything U need and it's easy on the eye .... The spa is in a great position I sat in the spa in the morning with my coffee looking out onto the ocean . Alot of thought went into the placement of things and the kitchen was fully equipped... I loved it and will be returning regularly ☺️❤️🤯 honestly did not want to leave such a beautiful little gem😍

Clean, comfortable and spacious. Rooms are very well maintained. Secure parking. Lovely view onto the beach, even in a 'partial ocean view' apartment. Great location for those accessing the beach frequently.

I had to check out at 6:30am and was unable to do so without locking myself inside the resort. There was a basket at reception to drop key cards into after hours but it was inside the building and the door to get in was locked and reception was unstaffed. I tried ringing the doorbell outside and using the "after hours assistance" phone out the front but no one picked up. Extremely frustrating and made me late to the event I was heading to.

The view was magnificent! I didn’t realise they serviced the room daily and clean towels every day was awesome The apartment was very spacious and provided details like electric heaters for the rooms away from the main living area We had an amazing stay and being walking distance from the Lorne amenities was so easy as a mum holiday with her kids on my own

Very accurate listing. The view was fantastic over Lorne beach with a little balcony. Nice picnic tables between building blocks with good view so we made use of those. The bed was comfy and bathroom clean (did have to step down into the spa bath to shower). The apartment itself was very spacious. There was a handy stairwell (steep) down to the main street, absolutely prime location. Was a little pricey but well worth it for what you get, and we managed to book last minute during the busy season!

Great view, probably the closest in all of Lorne you can get to the beach. Plus we booked this that morning. Was on the roundabout corner so could also see in the pub direction which was a bit of fun. Saturday night had live music but stopped by the time we went to bed. Under the pub was the excellent Totti where we went for a birthday dinner. It was funny being about to see right in while we were getting ready to go there. Elevated spa in bathroom had an excellent view. Guy at reception was very helpful & professional. I emphasis, you pick this place for the view, location and clean interior. Stay was excellent for the price and location and we are truly happy.

Hotel is obviously outdated but if it was fully modernised it would cost twice as much. Bedroom windows didn't have good outlooks but that did worry us as the finished were all new and clean. We will definitely stay again.
