Very friendly staff so I felt welcome strait away. Very clean with modern facilities. Comfortable bed with a great tv to watch whilst lying down. A very convient location close to the general store and oppisite the pub so I could get a meal. Great parking near to my room.

There was a slight continuos buzzing noise I think from the air con units outside my room as I was on the very end. It was there whilst watching tv and I didnt want to have the volume up too loud in consideration of other guests. I did just put up with it. I'm also a light sleeper so this effected me slightly to start with but I got used to it. It wasn't loud enough to consider changing rooms, which I could have enquired to. In hindsight,. I was happy to be in the end room furthest from the main road as I thought traffic noise might have been an issue. It wasn't. This was the only negative for me. Otherwide everything was fine. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Everything we expected except :- the following

We were under the impression that the room had a micro-wave (as we noted on one of the websites). We needed a mirco-wave due to a medical condition my wife has. The lady was very polite until we found out that they don't have micro-waves. I said we can't stay here then. In the end she managed to aquire a micro-wave from the restaurant. NOTE :- In this day & age and price, surely micro-waves are a standard requirement. Also, when it rains (which it did), water pooles directly infront of the unit door we were in, as well as the adjacent unit door.

the staff are friendly, the motel owner has placed thought into the whole place, from the mini bar items the room facilities, to the cute pool umbrellas to the yoga mat available to use. I was totally in love with cups and saucers, the bathroom tiles and the look and feel of the room overall, I also indulged in the day spa which i can recommend this is my second stay and will probably stay again.

If i had to criticise the bed could have been a little better, but I was so happy.

The room was as expected - which is better than it sounds! Hate (with a passion) when the room is not as 'good' as the photos show - but yours was - which is excellent! Large room which is fabulous and new amenities which dates hotels all the time.

Only the price (surprise surprise) but it did mean we stayed for 1 night instead of 2 and moved on, I'm afraid. I think for where it is its a little steep - after all you don't have much going on around you. And too be frank, after driving through Anglesea for the first time in a while and seeing the Great Ocean Rd Resort I'll be looking at that next time as there is a lot more to do there as well. But this is not saying we did not enjoy the stay - we did!

The light, unusual colour palette of the room was delightful and different. The bed was comfortable, nice linen and toiletries etc. and large accessible, and beautifully appointment bathroom. At the end of a long day of driving, it was great to be able to walk next door to the excellent Greek restaurant for dinner.

For younger people it would not be a problem but the armchairs provided, whilst very comfortable,were a little low for older people. I would have appreciated a type of dining chair too.

Love the Mid Century Modern style. Nice pool and great location.

Property doesn't quite live up to the marketing hype. Upselling from woe to go. We just wanted an overnight stay but got a few texts re the spa and restaurant. Fair enough but it was only one night. There were a few spiders in the bathroom and the whole place didn't look as great as the pictures. Sorry, but you need to deliver what you promise. Pool wasn't clean.

Sunnymead Hotel is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, especially if you’re in the Geelong region. We absolutely loved our stay! The spa was incredible—we spent a couple of relaxing hours there and felt completely refreshed. After that, we headed next door for dinner, and everything about the evening was just beautiful. The location is stunning, and the motel is so thoughtfully and stylishly done. We truly love this hotel-motel and can’t wait to book our next stay!

Clean, well equipped and a great location

I was a little confused around the restaurant and its pricing for meals . I logged onto to the restaurant menu but couldn’t find any prices . I also read that another guest had been told they couldn’t use the hotel $20 discount . It seemed too much trouble so we went over the road to the pub . May be this could do with a bit more clarity and we would have tried the restaurant .

the entire place is SOOOOOO nice! its got a palm springs vibe and is so clean and neat. It felt so cosy staying there. Loved we could park for free onsite just outside our room. its a shame the weather wasn't nice because that pool looked so inviting! we even loved that there were fun coloured robes, rather than the traditional white that all hotels have to offer. Beautiful kitchenware, again coloured and fun not just clear, and even had adairs towels! Loved the board games in the room and the lounge chairs too. Seriously exceeded our expectations! Walking distance to the pub across the road (which you can get takeaway drinks!) and the nice greek restaurant next door. I was here for work this time but will definitely be back for a leisure stay!

The breakfast option wasn't amazing for $45.. Just a loaf of bread with some spreads, wouldn't have booked it if I knew thats what it was at the time, but booked for convenience because we needed to leave early that morning.

Beautifully clean with tasteful furnishings and comfortable bed. General store close by. Close to the beach and lighthouse so leave the car and take a walk.

A warmer extra blanket would have been appreciated as it was super cold and wintery. Microwave would have been helpful for breakfast and to warm our heat bags although this was my oversight because I didn't check carefully prior to booking.
