I come here a few times a year and have done for several years. It's my favourite place to escape the regular routine of life. As someone who doesn't drive and travels on public transport, it's perfectly located near bus stops, shops, cafe's and restaurants. This is overall a very convenient stay. Beach by day and pub by night. Fantastic staff, clean rooms and great atmosphere. The high pressure showers are definitely a perk after long walks on the beach. And the complimentary bickies (replenished daily) are a nice little treat. This is a destination I always look forward to returning to.

Location was good even though its not by Torquay's main shopping area. There are some restaurants nearby but some closed early. Each room has its own parking slot just in front of your room door. Room and toilet was clean, and unlike some places, have instant hot water - especially appreciated during winter months. The guy at the reception was friendly and attentive - even asked if it was our first time visiting the area and if we needed any guidance or advice.

As shared by some other reviewers, the music from the pub/restaurant can be heard from our room (even though ours were the last one at the end of the block).

We were in the suite and while it was attached to the property as a very close by facility it was absolutely no issue with noise from the pub. Slept like babies.

The only issue was that the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our suite. The property needs a booster for the router. Even though we were also given the staff password, you had to be in the pub for that to work. The lady in reception tried her best but the problem was out of her control. Another minor hiccup was that some of the 240v power points simply didn’t work. There were sufficient available to work around the challenge. Apart from these two minor hiccups everything was great.

I like that the property is in a very central location in Torquay, very convenient with in house restaurant, sports bar and a liquor store nearby. It is driving distance to the beach and also the major touristic location / restaurants / services in town. Pokies are available in the property. The room was huge and is as per listed.

The wifi at the property could have been better, given the number of occupants. But it seems to be a general issue across the properties I stayed in Australia. Just do not use data intensive apps like Tiktok / video streaming, then you will be fine.

I stayed at the Torquay Hotel as I was seeing the bands playing there that night, so the main aspect I liked was not having to navigate a way home late at night in the dark, but I genuinely was a nice property and the staff were very friendly

The only thing was the lighting in the room was lacking in the sense that we had to turn on all the lights at once and it still was pretty dim even with the window/door not covered by a blind… I’m sure that is partially due to the muggy weather at the time of the trip though

The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space and good location. It was good value for money.

The staff member checking us in was a little dismissive, said it had been a busy day. He then proceeded to tell me that no television in the motel was working. Said there was no alternative room and if we felt that bad about not having one we could hand our key to the bar and perhaps get a free drink. Care factor was very lacking.

We booked to stay here as we were visiting family in Melbourne and babysitting our grandson. It had plenty of space the outdoor area for the house was great for our grandson to play. Plenty of towels, well equiped kitchen + our own parking.

It may sound petty but there was one tea towel. We had used this to mop up a spill of water on the kitchen island and there were no more to use when washing dishes.

Size was great for a family of four. Rooms and beds were very comfortable and we could have fitted 2 more people easily. Apartment facilities were good, especially the kitchen which allowed us to prepare meals without going out for everything Location was terrific. Walk to front and back beach easily, and in the little shops. A 10min walk to the main shops.

The property is very clean and nice, great stop in Torquay. We got there at night to start our journey to the Great Ocean Road in the morning.

It can be a plus to some people, and although I read on the description that during weekends they have a pub nearby, it was quiet loud in the room (up to 12am maybe?). So yeah, be prepared to some noise. But other than that, all good
