Great location. Has its own parking. Staff were friendly. Housekeeping came to ask if we needed anything in the afternoon (sometimes waking up my baby but not their fault). Had everything you’d expect.

The couch wasn’t very comfortable and it had pillows with down in (geese suffer tremendously for this because they pull out their feathers over and over again while awake/alive so not very vegan friendly). The TV was hung too high and in a weird spot on the wall. It was clean overall but I did see some hairs in the bathroom. The washing machine and dryer are in the hallway between apartments, which I can understand but the dryer also made the hallway very humid. Instead of providing enough cutlery and plates etc., there was three of each. You also have to wash them yourself at the end of your stay. Instead of just a bottle of dishwashing liquid and laundry powder, there were small packets. Not very environmentally friendly. It’s great there’s parking but charging 20 a day is a bit much.

The apartment was perfect and the bed very comfortable. Even though we didn’t use kitchen it was well equipped. The laundry in the cupboard (servicing two rooms) was great but I found this in the morning. Thanks to the lovely front desk staff member who let us leave and come back when the dryer had finished. Much appreciated. The parking was also great.

The after hours instructions confused me and another guest. We were both walking up and down the street trying to find the “other Oaks building”. The instructions say the Oaks R suites but the name in the building is the R hotel and all you see is a glass door that looks locked. I found the staff at the apartments in the morning very nice. The staff at the at the R hotel were not nice.

We didn’t realise till late that the heater wasn’t working so had to really fiddle to get it going. Bottom sheet not tucked in so when you move it pulls away, I don’t like laying on an underlay 😁 Also we had to wait at least 20 min in total to checkout in the morning due to the lift, my husband took things down first and waited a long time, then I took the stairs to check out and again after waiting along time my family had to take the stairs with suitcases. Perhaps staggering checkout to between 10-11 could help 🤷‍♀️ I did watch the staff be spoken to not nicely.

The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities that were listed. Staff were very friendly and informative. I would recommend the property and would stay again if we needed accommodation in Geelong.

The carpark is incredibly tight and it has one small elevator for the property use, which just meant that there was a wait for the lift at check in time. Also, someone had been smoking in the emergency exit staircase, which subsequently made our entire floor smell like cigarette smoke. Staff were notified and said they'd look into it.

Upon arrival we we're greeted by very friendly staff and received a room upgrade. She gave us some great tips on what to see and do and she was right we spent all day at The Mill Markets. The suite was comfortable and cozy, the laundry facilities came in really handy. Location was excellent and the view of the Ferris Wheel was lovely. Definitely booking in again when we're next in Victoria.

The only thing that we noticed was the room was a little too warm but easily fixed with air-conditioning.

The reception staff that accommodate us was amazing (Eyrenne) I believe her name is. We didn’t get breakfast in the accommodations; however I like the location of the place very close to everything. It’s a minute walk to Westfield. My daughter loves the Ferris wheel ride. The vicinity has a lot to offer.

What I don’t like is when we arrive that morning housekeeping staff were cleaning and its the smell of the body odour (cleaning staff) were very strong and you can literally smell it in the entire corridor which gives us a headache. I think they need to be informed that personal hygiene is also important especially its a close area where air ventilation is limited. The aircon needs cleaning in our room. The black stuff is coming out from it. Otherwise we had a good stay.

The apartments are located near Eastern Beach at the edge of the Geelong CBD. We safely walked to our chosen bars and restaurants, meaning we could enjoy a drink or two. The area was quiet during the night. Our two-bedroom, sea-view apartment was comfortable, spacious, clean and well-equipped. The airconditioning was fully controllable and despite a sudden Antarctic blast blowing in, the apartment was warm. At our request, each bedroom had a kingsize double bed but they could be configured as twin beds. The beds were comfortable.

The apartment was perfect for our needs but perhaps there could be some biscuits along with the tea and coffee provided?

The room was a good size, and had good facilities. The shower pressure was surprisingly good. The beds were reasonably comfortable as well. The room also had a washer and dryer, which while we didn't use it I see being useful.

Parking is an additional cost of $20 per night, which is ridiculous in this day and age and is not clear in the list on booking.com as it doesn't state 'additional charge' in the first list of facilities. The room also smelt sort of musty, I think the filter in the aircon might need a clean.

The room was fabulous - the bathroom was perhaps one of the best with the shower being step-less with no water entering into the bathroom thus keeping the bath-mat dry. The shower door opened into the shower too which was beneficial. There was a microwave for us to make our breakfast in. The view of the beach was great.

The microwave was too high up to use successfully, as it kept sliding to the back of the opening & needed to be operated with two hands. The bed was great but would have been much more comfortable with a Mattress Protector for softness - the bed was very hard & had the lump down the middle which I have never noticed staying elsewhere (we always look for a king bed). The TV could have been placed central to the bed & then could have been seen when the table/chairs were re-arranged to eat & watch news etc.

Noise all night from dishwasher that wasn’t closed properly from previous occupant or cleaner …. we didn’t know that was the issue but it was overnight …. found out the next day ! The staff were not easy to relate to …. limited communication ….just interested in credit card info that’s all The balcony view was lovely in one room the other balcony room looked into a carpark
