North facing balcony for the winter sun to filter into the apartment. Spacious bathrooms/laundry. Functional kitchen set up. Lift access from the underground carpark direct to our floor.

Missing some cutlery and not enough pots to cook with . Could do with an extra small saucepan, a large stainless steel frying pan to replace the toxic chemical coated Teflon frying pan, a healthier wooden stirring spoon plus metal (not plastic/or melting) cookware utensils. Plus kitchen needs 2 x egg cups (I had to rest my boiled eggs in a tea cup instead). 😅 And a stainless steel serving/stirring bowl would have been great - We made do with what we were supplied with but would have been nice to have the kitchen a little more equipped for self-catering option.

The location was very convieniant. Great short walks to the beach, Westfield shopping centre, the botanical gardens, and various restaurants and cafes. Staff were very helpful and friendly, such lovely faces to see on first arrival and departure. There is housekeeping everyday which make the beds and provide fresh towels - myself and my party were very appreciative and happy with our stay.

The cleanliness of the place was average. Stains on the walls, furniture and the shower had a strange aroma come from the drain. Our shower would also continuously change temperatures from hot to cold a lot. Also it's a shame that there is no pool in the hotel but nevertheless was still a great place.

Location was superb, given you take oceanview. Rooms were neat.

1. Theres only one aircon, that too in lounge, we took a king suite however the one aircon does not really cater to the bedrooms. We were sweating, no options for fan in room , it became quite suffocating at night as it was warm. If you leave the doors open, it takes time for the cold air to reach the rooms, however it interferes with lighy and privacy. 2. The lift options are practically bad. You have to get down move to a different area to access parking lifts. Becomes particularly challenging with luggages or prams. Plus tge access cards wont work a minute after u have checked out so be sure to get everyone and everything at one go.

We loved the location and quality of the rooms. Our favourite being the ocean view room, exactly like the advertised photos! We had a large group spread over three apartments and the ocean view room was the perfect room for us to get together before heading out. All of the staff were lovely and accomodating. We all had a great time here. Definitely recommend the bottomless brunch at Edge, walking distance from the R hotel!

Only downside was the loft rooms were a little hot on the mezzanine floor with only one fan on the ceiling. Otherwise everything was top notch!

Location was good, close by to beach and shops. Bed was super comfy and Loved the balcony. Complimentary tea and coffee available but the jug is way too high to get to and barely any milk, just 2 pods of UHT MILK.

I had to clean the room it was so dusty and fingerprints on the cupboards and the shower had soap scum and black mould in the grout work on the base tiles of the shower. Yuk! Parking costs $20 which you get told upon arrival as there is hardly any off street parking available unless you are lucky as they are all taken up by beach goers. Even if you get parking close by you have to pay the meter.

Location was excellent we walked everywhere reception was polite

The parking should be included in your accommodation when it’s a little tricky to get to not another expense ontop of accommodation .. the mini bar fridge didn’t hVe ice cubes or could you make any which is a shame when there is no resteraunt bar in the building so a little ice would’ve been nice but a great hotel all in all and smokers should be put with smokers away from non smokers .. I couldn’t enjoy my morning coffee on my balcony but all in all a great hotel

Location was perfect. central to everything. Rooms were modern and large and very quiet and comfortable. The coffee shop downstairs was a bonus and the staff were very helpful. You can also get 15% of meals at a local cafe down on the waterfront.

Apparently if you book through booking.com parking costs money. but if you book directly through the hotel apparently it is free. Not really a dislike - but it is if you have paid for parking

The water view from our 6th floor room was very nice as we could see it from both of the bedrooms and from the lounge room. A higher floor would be extra nice as the 6th floor was eye level with the next door rooftop so higher up would be more pleasant. There was a roomy ensuite for the main bedroom and a separate bathroom for the second bedroom so the apartment would be a very comfortable for a stay of multiple days for three or four people. We went for an easy walk along the waterfront in the evening to see the floating Christmas tree.

Location and view from balcony were the best. We could just walk to the beach whenever we want. No dependency on car. We would definitely stay again just for the amazing ocean view... Rooms were all clean as per expectation.

Few things or suggestions: 1. A normal clock or alarm clock in bedroom. 2. Bedroom nightlight switch would be better if it is close to sleeping position so we don't have to get up to switch it on/off. 3. Paper towel roll and dish scrub in kitchen . I am not used to dishwasher , I was looking for a dish scrub or sponge to wash my dishes.

New modern rooms, fantastic view of the ocean and Ferris wheel at night was spectacular, easy entry and exit thru the car park I’d very convenient, breakfast was great and jus a high quality motel with great services and prices also

When I extended my stay and had to change the room swipe cards over causing my partner to be locked out of our room causing a bit of a fuss but overal the staff were very helpful and had it sorted in no time
