Brand new hotel. Room was well designed, the bathroom particularly so. Minimalist decor but pops of colour were attractive. I would recommend a stay for business or leisure. Maestro restaurant a pleasant ambience and good food. Breakfast had a good range. Public areas such as foyer and lift were sparkling clean. All staff were courteous, helpful and keen. Close to main amenities in Geelong.

No mini-bar. Some bottled water would have been good. The parking, managed by a different company I think, even though you park in the hotel basement, was quite a steep price for overnight. Would add up if you were staying a few days!

We loved our one night stay here. Lovely design, everything was spotless, we had a great view from the 6th floor and the staff were all lovely. Buffet breakfast (which was a tiny addition to room cost) was yum, lots to choose from and again the staff and chef were very kind. The location was excellent and lots of choices for dinner close by. And the bed was super comfy too.

Nothing really! Only thing was the pool (being a lap pool) was maybe only heated to the temp for swimming laps? On the cool side for winter and we got in and out pretty quickly! But otherwise we were very happy with our stay.

The location of this hotel is great. It has a good walking distance to everything we needed. The beds are super comfortable, and the bathrooms are really lovely. The decor is just right.

It was almost impossible to log onto the wifi so I gave up. Not great given I had work to do whilst there. The first room I was allocated had such a strong sewerage type smell that I asked to move rooms. It is disappointing the parking is not nearby, making it untenable to park with the hotel, especially at such a high daily rate. Not having a coffee maker (pods would have been fine) in the room considering the price of the room is also disappointing.

We had the steak night deal which was excellent value, and delicious. The breakfast was a very nice treat. The egg menu meant we could request how we wanted our eggs cooked, and they were made fresh for us. The facilities were very nice. Being the middle of winter I had thought it too cold to go for a swim. I wish I did bring my swimmers however as the pool was lovely and warm and would have been a nice treat. The room was very nice.

My mum travelled with me. She has coeliac disease. The steak was very nice, although she couldn’t have the fries because there was no seperate fryer or air fryer for the chips. There were lots of breakfast options available which were gluten free, but there was no seperate gluten free toaster. These are things that could easily be provided, and would have made your restaurant highly recommended by us to the coeliac community. My only criticism of the room is that the pillows were both too soft and I had a bit of a neck ache in the morning.

Location, cleanliness and comfort

Staff at the reception named Kartik and Lalit seemed new to the hospitality industry I booked premium king rooms with bay view but we were given bedrooms at 2nd floor when we arrived. I had to tell them and explain about the booking and after a while they changed our rooms to bay view on 9th floor Parking was included in my booking and it was never mentioned by booking.com or by the hotel that it will be an off site parking It was a total surprise to me when I arrived that I cannot park in the basement of the hotel and will have to park a few blocks away When asked about it the manager told me that the basement car park is all booked but I saw a lot of empty bays all the time in the basement

Room was clean and spacious, typical of any other Holiday Inns. Location is great for those seeking halal food as there are several restaurants within a few minutes walk. Secured parking is available though comes at a small fee - you would need to book beforehand but the process was simple and fast. Once booked, you simply need to drive up to the entrance, a camera will recognise your car plate number and open up automatically.

No free parking within the premises. The hotel does provide a guide to other public parking spaces but we did not try those so unable to comment further. Breakfast was okay with small selection of food.

Super modern rooms with a lot of small touches to make it a more convenient and comfortable stay - E.g. USB & USB-C charging ports in the wall outlets, chromecast enabled TV, spacious and well fitted-out bathroom, all the facilities you'd want and expect.

The only things that weren't perfect with our stay was that one of the two elevators was out of order, which meant that the one remaining lift was in high demand and resulted in wait times up to 5 minutes - but these things happen! The other thing was that the gym/fitness centre didn't have much of a selection of equipment. Otherwise no issues whatsoever!

We had a lovely stay! The location was great, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the room spotless. Reception was warm and accommodating, making check-in smooth and welcoming. We were three families celebrating friendship and requested rooms next to each other — and they made it happen, which made the experience even more special. We had dinner at Maestro, the hotel’s restaurant, and the steak was absolutely divine. A pleasant surprise was the complimentary kids’ meals – such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast had limited options, but everything was delicious, and the servers and chefs were friendly and attentive.

The only hiccup was the parking – while our booking included free parking, the directions provided in the confirmation email didn’t match the actual setup. We had to circle the streets and call reception for help, which was a bit inconvenient.

Light and bright and comfortable. Staff were friendly, obliging and efficient. Breakfast was good. This property seems to be new or new-ish.

Parking is an issue. I tried booking a couple of days before our stay but it was already fully booked so we had to park on the street overnight. Not ideal. Also, a minor issue but slightly annoying was the use of the coffee machine to get boiling water for tea. Firstly, it was hard to find the boiling water button, then when I found it, the water came out tainted by coffee. I emptied one cup of the water to get another that didn't have as much coffee residue but it was till there.

Honestly, this was a really nice stay! The hotel was very clean, which is my top priority when choosing accommodation. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any questions. The location was also excellent—convenient and close to everything I needed. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

Even though the breakfast had plenty of options, I didn’t think the food and coffee were the best—especially the eggs and omelette. The biggest downside for me was the room service. It was very expensive for really small portions, and the quality wasn’t great. The vegan salad, in particular, was disappointing - see photo attached. That being said, this wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. If I visit Geelong, I’d still choose this hotel.
