I was a little worried after seeing that the hotel has low review ratings. However I was pleasantly surprised that the room turned out clean, spacious and comfortable (despite that the decor wasn't "modern") but I had otherwise no complains and am happy with the value (good wifi and well equipped and functional kitchenette). Large supermarket just next door. About 300m to eateries though (but I drove). Oh yes the receptionist does not speak English (if you speak Mandarin than not a problem). Otherwise all they need is yr Family name for confirmation.

Nothing, Except that the air-con was a little noisy at intervals when the thermostat kicked in.

The location is good for walking into town. The face that they allow you to park past check out if you are staying around for a while is also good. I forgot my pillow and the staff were great in getting it back to be when I had organised someone to pick it up

The decor is definitely dated and the air conditioner/heater was quite noisey. The spa bath wall was quite high to climb over to access the bath, even for someone who is quite mobile

location is great. the supermarket is less than a minute, the beach 2mins and you’re at the very beginning the Main Street. it’s was quiet and room were spacious enough for 3 people

we booked two rooms and in one room the kitchen light didn’t work. we didn’t cook so it wasn’t a big deal and the other lights let light in. the other room’s heater remote didn’t work so I had to climb up and read it and then press it manually. the managers English is not great so communication was difficult, so we didn’t bother them. Because we paid a very cheap rate we didn’t make a big deal about this.

The view from our top floor apartment was of tree tops and mountains. Native bird sounds filled the air while the fragrance of the Australian bush after rain surrounded us. It was beautiful and all the more appreciated because the stormy weather made indoors a preference for some of our time in Lorne. After crossing the road, we enjoyed walking on the boardwalk by the river which we crossed via the hanging bridge to reach the beach. Reception was friendly and gave us a number to call for any help we might need.

I would have preferred more crockery and especially cutlery but because the only cooking facility is a microwave, I guess it shouldn't be an expectation. I couldn't find any access to heating but we have only just entered the cooler weather of autumn and I assume that it's provided in winter.

The motel is old but the rooms are well decorated and large with a fully equipped kitchenette and a sofa. I didn't check; it might be a pull-out bed. All in all, very comfortable. NOTE: it only has part-time reception most of the time. You have to phone a number posted on a piece of paper to get a reception clerk to come.

This part is outrageous !! With no warning, the hotel doubled its price on the weekend !! I had paid $120 per nite fo 3 nites. When I was foced to stay on a weekend nite due to car trouble, the admin clerk doubled the price !! $240 This is gouging beyond belief !!! So, if I have a choice I will not stay here again.

You pay for what you get, they aren't trying to be a 5 star hotel, it was cheap did the job. I feel like some of the negative reviews are expecting a 5 star stay in 3 star hotel. Not how it works.

Little bit dusty in on the windows. but again it was the cheapest place and we booked last minute, expected it.

Beds were comfortable, rooms were good for price. We booked two rooms. Plates and cutlery supplied. Ensuite bathroom not bad. Clean linen.

Furniture and kitchen facilities looking a bit worn and tired. Had to wash the glasses, cups, plates and cutlery before using it as it was filthy. The scourer sponge was old and filthy, had to purchase a clean one to use.

Mattress was hard and the Staff member that was there to greet us and give us the key did not speak English at all, which is unacceptable in an English speaking country as a hospitality business. His directions to the room were unable to be understood and he had to get some one on a phone to talk to us ..

The location is great, it’s just on the way it in a quiet spot. Next to it is a supermarket and some restaurants so all what you need on the great ocean road adventure. It was very simple to find the place, check in, room had all what we needed with fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom. :) thank you guys

On arrival greeted by friendly staff. When given room and realised it was on a floor above asked could we have a room downstairs as we had arrived on our motorbikes and luggage to carry. She immediately accommodated our request. Rooms are old but were clean and tidy

The queen sized bed was far to hard for our liking, but that is just personal preference
