The hotel is very nice. The breakfast is superb and should be a definite part of the stay. The gym is excellent but the one VERY BIG NEGATIVE involves their lack of ANY ENTERTAINMENT in the rooms. There are NOT any movie channels nor pay per view and for us THIS WAS A VERY BIG NEGATIVE. After a full day, relaxing in a very nice room with a good size screen but WITHOUT ANY CONTENT AT ALL IS TERRIBLE. There is not much to do outside of the hotel so this omission is NOT WHAT WE WOULD EXPECT AT A JW MARRIOTT. It DEFINITELY weighed on our overall enjoyment at this wonderful hotel so travelers BEWARE. We were on the fence of a giving a LOWER RATING DUE TO THIS but believe this review is very accurate. We also should add that we never ate any other meals in the hotel except breakfast so we can not provide any information focusing on food choices during the remainder of the day.

Very friendly staffs and the place maintaining perfectly well! Breakfast has many variety choices can enjoy your casual morning as you like.

It’s not about satisfaction issue, but about the system they checking through for the booking detail may need to be improved, as my staying only booking for one day breakfast, and they keep giving false information as they should not be, but it’s not big deal cuz their friendly and professional service can be really helpful.

The hotel room was very clean and spacious and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The stuff was friendly and professional as I arrived around 10pm and the concierge was able to make good recommendations on food to eat. (He noted that we may not be comfortable eating spicy food upon arrival to Chengdu hence he recommended us a restaurant selling 猪蹄汤 which we enjoyed very much, unfortunately we didn’t get his name but we will always remember the good service) also the breakfast was excellent! Will definitely come back here again.

The room was spacious. We had a great view of the city. Plenty of amenities. Lots of options for breakfast. We really liked the swimming pool as well. The staff were friendly. And it was within walking distance of restaurants, shops, subway stations, and bus stops.

If we have a complaint, it's that there were lots of construction in the surrounding areas when we stayed there.

Excellent, extensive buffet breakfast. The rooms were fantastic - wonderful beds and bathrooms, and very spacious. Brilliant location, really convenient.

Service could be improved. The requirement to wear a cap in the pool and to purchase one if needed is surprising at such high end hotels. The spa area felt a little tired.

The executive lounge was disappointing compared to many others we have visited in the past. Beer and wine only for happy hour, breakfast starts at 8, (we went to the regular dining room which opened at 6.30), and no food for lunch.

Toilet was very clean and automatic . Bath tub was clean and comfortable . There was also a personalized handwritten note from the household . Upon checkout , Chris was very helpful and prompt and The lady in glasses with red lipstick manning the breakfast entrance was very polite and attentive despite it being so early in the morning

The staff very polite like portal,reception etc .strategic location and the room is clean and allow me for early check in while arrived. Engaged the hotel transportation transfer from hotel to airport,very comfort and massage in the car.quite relax for 3day2night stay in this hotel.

The Executive Suite was fabulous and spacious. The staff were impeccable even though few had good English communication skills

The reception because it’s shared was lacking. The bell boys were more interested playing with their phones than help me unload 140kg of luggage after a long flight from LHR. The first room was obviously not ‘no smoking’ but they changed it without a quibble. Everything but the food was exceptional. The food was unexciting and dull.

Right in the heart of Chengdu city, with comfort, convenience and luxury, JW Marriot is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in China. Both adults and kids slept comfortably, and we quite enjoyed the variety of food served at buffet breakfast.
