Lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was large with a nice view. The ambiance was very nice, super clean. I think their breakfast was much better than most hotel breakfasts. They actually had fresh fruit. Desk personnel were all very pleasant.

I took off one star because of the door between the dressing room and shower/toilet area. It is a very heavy barn door. The handle was not screwed in, but just glued and it fell off with nobody touching it. An even bigger issue was that the door was not secured on the bottom so it would actually sway from the top when opening or closing. Since the door was very heavy I was actually afraid it might fall and hit or push me. We reported this to the desk person when we came down for breakfast.

Fine place and will stay again. Clean, modern, comfy, quiet, staff super nice, above and beyond service, location awesome. All around it was a great hotel and great service. Breakfast fruit, juice, yogurt, cereal was fresh and good. Good value all the way.

Coffee maker in room was crap and on the way out, stopped brewing at half cup. Breakfast was clean but basic and hot food was almost gross, eggs watery, sausage dry, potatoes soggy, toasters were on their last leg. This at 7am. Plentiful coffee in the lobby. Staff was awesome and replenished food and beverage fast! But still marginal food.

This location VT Campus, and close to good restaurants. The breakfast was actually a full hot breakfast.

I was VERY disappointed in Booking.com. I set my filter for accommodations for two adults traveling with a pet. Booking.com listed this property at the top of the recommendations. When we arrived at dinner time, the property charged us an additional $65 pet fee, and said the reservation made by Booking.com did not even mention we had a pet. I do not see any value in using Booking.com.

Great stay. We really value a clean place to stay over everything else. This Hyatt seemed brand new. Everywhere was clean and beds were so comfortable, we slept well. Breakfast exceeded expectations, we definitely saved this on our places to return to if we need a stay in the area.

We were surprised about the amount of dogs in the hotel, one family brought there dog down the breakfast. We think the bring your dog everywhere culture is getting out of hand.

This has been the best hotel experience I have ever had. The room is very stylish, ultra clean, with a huge walk in shower. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I had the best night's sleep in quite some time. Actual china and silverware for breakfast (most places are stuck on paper, plastic, etc. It is a pity I won't be back in the area, but if I do visit again, I am staying here again!

We stayed here in May when we came down to tour VA Tech with our son and loved the location of the hotel, the price, and the staff. So, when we returned once he got accepted to Tech we decided immediately to stay here again. It is a great, little gem. We will stay here every time we come to Tech.

My son wished that the breakfast were available past 9:00. You know college kids -- not exactly early risers!

Great staff..very convenient to highway..good value all around. We were there on Memorial Day Monday, so we thought that Breakfast was going to be open until 10 a.m. (weekend hours) and when we came down to breakfast 10 minutes after the room was closed, a very nice staffer offered to put together a go box for us--very appreciated.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit. The room was very clean. Ultra-convenient location to Va Tech. The pool was just big enough, and nice and warm.

The one minor thing we didn't like was the frosted-glass door on the bathroom -- it's pretty, but just awkward with several people in the room.

Easy to find and close to campus. Spacious rooms.

Nothing terribly wrong, and nothing exceptional. I did rebook my room because my original rate was $100 more per night. I found my rate went down again another $50/night the day before we arrived. I might feel differently about the value if we paid less. There was some gum stuck under the nightstand (visible when you laid down) and we let the front desk know. Hopefully it was removed on housekeepings next visit. Toiletries are minimal. Breakfast was okay. Staff was professional but not especially warm.
