Our room was located on the back side of the hotel and was very quiet. Other than a little bit of sound from guests moving in the hallways or minor activity in the hotel, we couldn't hear traffic or any other noise (with the windows closed). The bed was very comfortable and plenty of space and storage in the room. There was an in-room sink, quality linens and towels, a small (very quiet) fridge, and a lovely view of the roof tops and terrace. I appreciated the relaxing bathtub. The staff was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We liked the location (bike rental across the street, easy access to Plains of Abraham, rue St. Jean, etc.) A bit of a walk to lower town, but we didn't mind that. Great coffee.

The shower head could have been higher (worked for me, but my 6'2" husband had to stoop). The cleaning smell was quite strong when we entered the room and didn't completely go away. The bathroom fan was loud (and had to be on for the light), so I turned it off for a bath - it worked. Hopefully they will change this in time. The breakfast area was nice but the breakfast itself was only ok. Convenient, but after two days, we found better/tastier options.

The location was perfect for me. I was attending a conference and the convention center was a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is located within the walls of Old City Quebec, and a 5-15 minute walk to most sights, restaurants, etc. The hotel itself is quite charming and my room was comfortable, attractive and well equipped. The breakfast was sit-down with table service and was excellent. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were available at all times for free in the restaurant area. The staff were uniformly very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I return to QC.

Really, I can't think of anything.

Thoughtful and kind staff, who greet visitors from all over the world. Staff is knowledgeable, most are bilingual, some speak 3 languages. Each had a strong knowledge of the region and recommended activities and natural sights, for visitors to see. The staff is excellent, each individual is a leader, and take the initiative in service and creating a welcoming experience. Each staff member could teach a "Masterclass in Hotel Management".

The location is absolutely perfect—centrally situated with easy access to all the main attractions, making it a fantastic base for exploring the area. What stood out the most was the hotel's rich history. It adds a unique charm to the entire place, giving it a character that you won't find in modern chain hotels. Each room is designed differently, catering to various preferences and needs, so you're sure to find one that suits your style. Whether you prefer something cozy and traditional or sleek and contemporary, there’s a room for every taste.

We originally requested a room on an upper floor. However, due to a recent foot injury I was limited in the amount of stairs I could handle. There wasn't an elevator at the hotel. The desk manager took me to several rooms that were available on the first floor and we were able to select a very comfortable alternate room. The hotel was in a very convenient location only 2-3 blocks from the Hotel Frontenac. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The rooms were immaculate. Our reservation included a full breakfast which was personally made per our request each morning and were delicious.

There is nothing negative about the hotel other than not having an elevator but it is only 4 stories tall.

We greatly enjoyed our 4-day visit to Quebec. The hotel was one of the highlights. First, the location in haute-ville, close to the commercial districts but on a quiet street, was the perfect place for exploring. We arrived by train, walked from the train station, and did not need a vehicle or taxi during our stay. We explored all the neighborhoods that we wanted to on foot, including the old city (both high and low neighborhoods), the Citadelle and Plains of Abraham, Saint-Roch, Saint-Jean-Baptiste. We were a short walk to the cathedral for Sunday mass. We went running in the park twice. The hotel service was outstanding. We were welcomed every time we entered or departed. We received wonderful recommendations for meals, including making a reservation on a busy Friday night. We enjoyed coffee each morning and a drink one evening. The staff was so very pleasant, each and every one. Our room was clean and well apportioned. The bathroom is small, as expected, with an excellent shower. The air conditioning was very welcome, as it was warm during our visit in late May. Our window faced the Parc d’Esplanade, and we could hear the occasional clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages. We would certainly stay here again on a return visit.

Conveniently located between shops and restaurants on both Rue St Jean and Rue St Louis. Beautiful old row of mansions converted into the hotel. Art deco decor, quiet, suitable for couples. Common space/eating area was nicely decorated and commensurate with size of hotel. Very nice inn. All staff encountered were very friendly and bilingual and very helpful. A very welcoming environment and will look forward to coming back for a longer stay in the warmer months.

Nothing.

The location was excellent for seeing the main sights, having a large selection of restaurants within walking distance, and even a laundromat close by. Room was large, comfortable and charming. Bathroom also fine for two people needing counter space.

The breakfast room is nice and cozy, but too small for the number of guests if they arrive at the same time. The first day there was a wait and the staff was overwhelmed. The items offered were not your typical breakfast, but tasty. Menu could have had more options.

The breakfast was nice, we had it one day. Staff was great with communication and suggesting routes to walk. I ended up booking two reservations from two different sites and they were different room types. The day before the team called me to discuss my options if I didn't want to change rooms. We liked sitting out on the patio and also enjoying the complementary coffee and tea. It was hot and the AC worked fairly fast.

My wife complained a bit about the stairs to the upper European rooms. (The rooms were still good but small.). European seemed to mean the the sink was outside the bathroom.

Excellent location just inside the walls of Vieux-Quebec, especially good location for the Winter Carnival. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Our room and bed were small, it was somewhat expected for an older hotel. Apparently larger rooms with larger beds are available at additional cost, we'll probably get a larger room next time. The bed did have 4 large comfortable pillows. Large wardrobe to put your coats and things. Small but adequately sized breakfast room. We were told that it was a fixed price for breakfast, but you are billed for what you order off of the menu provided. The food was good and nicely prepared, the staff is very friendly. Very convenient spot in front of the hotel to drop-off and load your luggage. The hotel provides an electronic pass card for the underground parking garage below the park across the street (5 min. walk). The very reasonable parking fee of 22 CAD per day is added to your hotel bill. The hotel also provided free bus passes to get around the city.

Next time I'll pay for a larger room and bed, although what we got was adequate for the three nights we stayed.
