Fantastic location. Wish I could spend more time. Daniel is a wonderful host. Love the kitchen. It has such a unique interesting eating counter. If you stay upstairs be mindful of low head clearance. You must remember the age of the house. If you can accept that the staircase is the only inconvenience of the house you will experience the beautiful ambience and charm of the property. I enjoyed the view of St Lawrence River from the property and the beauty of the island.

Daniel is an entertaining host, and his breakfast preparations were very good. The inn is full of history with many antiques. This is the perfect location from which to explore the entire island, as well as venturing into Quebec City. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Au Vieux Foyer.

the owner offers a really good breakfast and you'll have a chance to enjoy nice conversations with other people staying there. Views from the property are amazing, we enjoyed watching sunset with our neighbors. Noise insulation - well, you can hear the stairs but it's essential for 200-years old house. Overall, that was a really interesting experience and I would definitely choose this place again if I'm on the island

This place is adorable, and charming mix of old cabin and modern. The island is absolutely gorgeous!

The Internet was spotty, and the door frames are extremely low in some places.

Daniel was a great host and spurred on great conversations in the morning over breakfast! We especially loved Tonton.

The house was very charming! It's an old house, 225 years old, as the owner told us. We liked the decoration, the beds, and the breakfast!

Our room didn't have blackout curtains, so we woke up to the sunrise. But that minor detail didn't bother us that much. We would gladly stay there again!

What a wonderful experience at an incredible value!! The owner (Daniel)‘s hospitality, stunning location on a hill overlooking the shores, the historical antique feel, the “small room” was awesome…cozy, clean, the bed, pillow and sheets were super comfortable…moreover the lavish and complete breakfast Daniel prepared in front of us. We would definitely go back for sure, if we’re in the area.
