The location for our visit for the Bach Festival was excellent. The lobby is comfortable, bright and artsy. It is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the complimentary coffee. The room was very quiet, dark enough for sleep, and beds and bedding were comfortable. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. There was room to store clothing and the desk was nice. TV worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Two days of our stay the breakfast items were not replenished and tables were not cleaned regularly. We spoke to the desk clerk and he said he would relay a message to the manager. The following days were back to the usual standard.

Very central location one block from the market square, next door to the Rewe supermarket and plenty of grab and go places. The hotel breakfast buffet was decent. Not too many hot items except for eggs, sausage, and sometimes potato pancakes. The Germans seem to prefer bread and cold cuts for breakfast, in addition to pastries and cereal.

During our seven night stay in June 2024, there was very loud building noise going on during the day, sometimes starting at 6am. The hotel did not warn us in advance or apologize for it. Luckily we did not stay in our rooms during working hours, and just came back at night to sleep. Also with it being so central, you will hear the buzz of the city at all hours. The room itself was clean but spartan. Not many surfaces to lay out your items, except in the bathroom which was nice.

Location was central and walking distance to the zoo, marketplace (with wine festival going on), restaurants and shops. Kids loved the quadruple room (facing the fussgaengwrzone) with sofabed and plenty of space. Free coffee machine for latte and cappuccino etc at reception componsated for not having a coffeemaker in the room. Great value for the price.

As the entrance is hidden 2nd floor in a former store it would have been good to get a better guidance and an alert that one can't drive up to the main door and has to schlepp the luggage half a block.

This was my fifth stay at the Elaya Hotel, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. Hands down the best location for the money—right in the heart of the city, just a 2-minute walk from the S-Bahn station at Am Markt. This time, I was lucky enough to get a room with a small rooftop terrace, which was absolutely perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee. Comfortable, convenient, and consistently reliable—Elaya continues to be my go-to spot whenever I’m in town.

Staff was ultra nice. Checkin/checkout was quick. The hotel was easy to find. Rooms were clean, silent, and mine had a small balcony with city view. There are free hot drinks 24x7 by the reception. There was also a small sleeping welless kit in the bed, including eye cover, earplugs and a scent for the pillow. Nice touch.

I liked almost everything. Feels like a major 4 star hotel. The decoration was a bit bland and could have more character, but this is far from relevant. The cold drink cabinet by the reception is locked at night. No vending machine.

Elaya otel is in the center of Leipzig, everything is steps away from you, Leipzig Markt (market square), supermarket, 2.hand clothing, mall. Also it’s easy walk from the train station to the hotel. Very good breakfast and complimentary coffee and tea is available 24 hours a day in the lobby. Great friendly and kind staff as always. And thank you to the guys who gave me early breakfast because of early check out for the airport. Definitely I will turn again.

The hotel is very central located with a bright and large room, a nice lobby and very nice people at reception. Unfortunately we stayed only one night.

Not that we didn't like, but a little frigde would be a good addition to the room. Also, they have some metal closets for your clothes that make a loud noise when you open, close or even touch them. As we stayed only one night, it didn't disturb us, but I don't know how it would have been for a longer stay.

The location was perfect - we took the train in from Berlin and it was an easy walk from the train station to the hotel. The hotel was situated on one of the busier pedestrian streets, but it was very quiet in the room. Complimentary coffee and tea was available 24 hours a day in the lobby, a nice little bonus.

The lobby area was a little stark, but serviceable. One takes an elevator from street level to the lobby - taking the stairs is not advised if you have luggage (it is about 4 flights up, if I remember correctly).

The room is spacious with a huge window facing the street. With the window closed, the room is quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the free coffee 24/7. The hotel is close to the station, the market and other attractions, all just a few minutes' walk. Check out is only at 12 noon which is a huge bonus.

The furnishings in the room were quite random: A steel cabinet for the clothes makes a noise when you close it; the bedside table is a steel drum on which you can barely balance a book; the reading light at the bed is not bright enough; the pillows are like little sausages; the towels are standard grade; it's difficult to draw the curtains as the window is more than 4m high. A drawstring would be helpful.

The incredibly friendly staff!

BIG negative issue: the room had a bizarre sink, with a basin only a narrow strip wide. It was impossible to do anything other than stick your hands underneith the faucet and wash them. I've never even seen a sink like this outside of an airport bathroom, certainly not in a hotel room for guests!. Filling a water bottle, washing out a few clothes while traveling, or rinsing out a mug (or anything) were utterly out of the question. It would, sadly, be impossible to stay here longer than a night or two, with the sink so limited. Much as I would like to base here in Leipzig with my husband for a week next time, it would be impossible to stay here and I'm really sorry about that, as I just loved the hotel and its locations is perfect for traveling.
