This a great location for public transport to Lago de Braies which is why we initially booked. The hotel has been renovated well and offers all the amenities you would want. The rooms are clean, comfortable with excellent shower facilities. It was hot while we were there and the room was fine with the window open. Good off street parking for the motorbike. The continental European breakfast offered a variety to suit most needs including dietary needs. There is restaurant in the evening most nights.

It would have been useful to have been informed before arrival that the hotel is closed” on Thursday’s with minimal staff and no restaurant . Reading a sign on the reception desk was a bit misleading when staff were available for check-in.

Splendid little hotel that just glows with the warmth, like the whole little village does. Don’t expect anything fancy here, you will get squeaky floor wooden rooms, but that is the charm of it all. Everything is super clean, and the bathrooms are renovated/modern with floor heating. You have free parking at site. Food is really great, for breakfast you don’t get a crazy lot of options, but everything you get is local and really delicious. The receptionist is really nice, he showed us POIs on the map and recommended hiking tours that we can take with our kid. And his honey (served at breakfast as well) is top-level!

Rooms are (as expected) not very soundproof. Also, during dinner, we had to really wait to be served, which kind of ruined a mood at evening a bit.

The hotel is very cozy, quiet and feels very historic - there's a ton of different historic pictures and posters in the hotel which we really enjoyed going through and learning something new on each day of our stay. Breakfast is fantastic, especially loved local honey and butter from the farm. Restaurant is also great for dinners (we missed our lunches), homemade deserts is something I'd definitely would advise not to miss! We were given an upgrade (think it was upgraded to Junior Suite Family) which was a wonderful surprise. The gentleman on reception was lovely and very helpful, in fact all the staff were incredibly pleasant. The room we had was brilliant, the bathroom was very large, the water hot and had good water pressure. The bed was incredibly comfortable and for those who need a dark room for a good nights sleep, the room provides that. The lighting in the rooms was fantastic, far too often hotels are stingy with dim lighting, not here though it was fantastic. The cleaners need to commended, as the room was incredibly clean. The meal we had there was great and the breakfast has a large selection to choose from and should make everyone happy. We rarely stay in hotels but if they were as good as Emma Historic Hotel, we would stay in them more often. Would highly recommend staying at Emma Historic Hotel it is fantastic.

A lovely historical hotel in the centre of town. We were upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable and the balcony had a great view of the mountains. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel as well, which was relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fantastic bicycle storage with various tools and plenty of charging points for e-bikes too.

- Great location and easy access to the bus stop directly outside the hotel (can easily travel to Lake Braies and Tre Cime) - On-site parking at no extra cost - Clean and tidy - Nice restaurant directly at the hotel - Friendly and helpful staff - Nice breakfast, selection wasn’t huge but it was certainly enough to choose from (though there is no option to have toast)

- The shower leaked as the shower tray isn’t deep enough. Not a showstopper but good to know and be careful to not have the water on full power otherwise the bathroom floods. - No kettle for coffee and tea in the room (again, not a showstopper) - Couldn’t find a hairdryer in the room (brought my own anyway, and maybe reception would provide one if asked) - There isn’t an elevator which might be a problem for some that are unable to take the stairs (again, not a showstopper but could be for some)

The hotel is located in the middle of Villabassa. The owners were very nice and let us park the car for a week while we cycled the Drau radweg. The breakfast was excellent. We had a nice balcony to sit outside.

The room was very small and rather expensive.

I liked everything about this hotel, starting with the location (very good starting point to explore Lago di Braies, Tre Cime, Plätzwiese etc.), the coazyness of my room, and of course the hospitabilty of the owners, I immediately felt welcomed and taken care of. They also have very good restaurant and pizzeria, the pizza I had there was one of the best! All in all this hotel made my Dolomites trip even more perfect! Thank you!!!

The place was very clean, the offer a la carte was wide and food very tasty. The spa is very good as well for the price. Location is good to reach Braies lake with public transport.

Breakfast was somehow small compared with other hotel in the area I have been, but still good. No other main issues found in our stayover.

Room was clean and cozy. The hotel has a very nice historical ambiance but at the same time fresh and without the feeling of worn out. Staff friendly and very helpful. Hotel restaurant for dinner is a must try.

Breakfast was very good but could include more egg options like omelet or scrambled eggs. The lack of elevator could be a problem if you have difficulties walking.
