Our friendly and welcoming hosts Peter & Marina have made Finca Gordo a most excellent place to stay. A relaxing space to watch the day to day workings on the mountains, the herding of goats and sounds of nature from our comfortable space. Our room / bed was very clean and comfortable ,the nearby pool area was a lovely place to sit at and then swim in a very well maintained pool. Great communication before arriving . Our hosts provided a nice breakfast each day ,one evening we shared a delicious dinner ( cooked by peter and a beautifully set table by Marina )…alongside good company of other guests we shared stories and laughter surrounded by beautiful plants and trees.

Stunning location . Hosts were very friendly . Breakfast excellent with homemade produce . Marina’s home made apple cake was delicious!

We were cold at night as the weather was unseasonably cool for May and no heat in room . Maybe we should have asked but didn’t realise until late evening when coming back from a meal in town .

The location was excellent with far reaching views over the mountains. The breakfast was superb and the hosts brilliant throughout. The accommodation was comfortable and drinks and snacks readily available to purchase.

Everything was very stylish - a good mix of Spanish heritage and Dutch modern improvement (e.g. solar lights). Peter and Marina are great hosts who can only advise you some nice activities around based on their own rich experience.

the only thing for improvement would be the door to the bathroom door sliding one) - cannot be closed properly to have 100% privacy but I guess it’s a Spanish way to have it like that (also was the case in Madrid)

I would have like to have a door between the bathroom. and the bedroom for more privacy. But other than that everything was just prefect.

Marina and Peter are very frendly hosts. We had a very warm welcome when we arrived in the evening. It is a perfect spot to relax. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed to swim in the pool after a hot day and some hiking in the hills. We recommend the Finca Gordo and Marina and Peter. Thanks, kommen gerne wieder. Alfred und Heinrike

It’s quite rare to enter an overnight accommodation and think ‘I’d like to stay here...forever’ Finca Gordo is that rarity. It’s beautiful. Stand outs include; the secluded pool, the communal areas, the separate accommodations plus lots and lots of little places to sit, read, chat, sunbathe... This is a place built with love and the hosts just add to the experience in every way. We were lucky enough to have home cooked dinner with Peter & Marina. It was exceptional

This place is in perfect location: 20min drive from Malaga, 1h from Seville. Owners are extreamly polite, and one of best chefs. Food was awsome. Everybody needs to try melone soup with tabasco!!! Rooms are big and cozy. They have own pool where everybody can enjoy privacy. Great place to return

The breakfast was excellent as were the hosts Peter and Marina. I would certainly recommend Finca Gordo as a top destination and hope to have the opportunity of returning for a longer stay.
