Stayed in the triple room which is on the ground floor. Spotlessly clean sunlit room, air-conditioning worked well with 40 degree temperature outside, wifi was very good and allowed Teams/Zoom meetings. Hair dryer provided. Owner very helpful and responsive but not intrusive. We asked if a kettle could be provided and it was, which was very helpful. They also spontaneously provided a desk and chair when they realised I had some work to do, which was very kind. There is a communal microwave and an excellent supermarket within 5 minutes walk where we bought a lot of our food. Pleasant foyer area with tables and chairs where you can eat your own food. There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, for which capsules were available to buy, but we didn't use that. Quiet side street, five minute walk to beach and great restaurants/bars.

The location is fantastic. Pedregalejo and El Palo appear to be quite affluent areas, so it feels really safe. The hostel is close to a ton of shops, bakeries and cafes. There's Mercadona supermarket about 5 minute walk away which is really handy. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. There's a stretch of beach between El Palo and Pedragalejo that has a great selection bars and restaurants along the prominade. The hostel itself is basic but perfectly adequate. Check in was quick and easy and my room was fine for my needs. You are provided with a room key that also acts as key for the main door of the hostel. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen smelled fresh and clean. The free Wifi seemed to be fast enough for streaming movies. So that's a plus for when you want to just chill. Plenty of hot water for showers. There is a bus stop about 5 minutes away that has regular buses into central Malaga.

Not much to complain about. The plastic furniture in my room could do with a bit of a refresh. It felt like it had seen better days. The shower in my room could do with a bit of a deep clean. It wasn't terrible but the floor definitely needs a clean.

the room and bathroom were clean. the location is great, quiet and one bus ride away from the center. Its really close to the beach. A lot of places to eat around, and there are a lot of bars on the beach. People working there speaks English which is a nice bonus.

There was an issue with entering the hotel since we arrived late. They gave us a code for the front door that didn't work, but there was an emergency number which we called and solved the issue instantly.

The location is wonderful, beach is within walking distance and there is an excellent bus service into Malaga. El Palo is nearby and this is a lovely little area full of interesting bars, shops and fish restaurants. The hostal is clean and the beds comfortable but much more than this is the attention to detail. We had a lovely coffee machine in our room! I would be happy to recommend this modestly priced hotel to friends. Super helpful staff.

Clean and comfortable. Great price. Bus to Malaga city center leaves from the nearest corner. Friendly staff. Wending machine and a microwave in the common area. Great breakfast place with english speaking staff nearby is tejeringos coffee.

AC was a bit noisy making cracking and popping sounds.

Hostal Moscatel was my refuge for just over a week. The staff was simply perfect, incredibly helpful with advice and assistance whenever needed. The location is simply exceptional; I loved this area, so close to the beach and all necessities while still feeling like I was in a very special area. Thank you.

the mattress very comfy in the room. such kindness to provide a kettle etc extremely helpful owners first rate location. lovely tree lined area .super beaches and walks. excellent bus systems

Good price, good location. Great for buses into town, supermarket and cafés for breakfast.
