The place is better than what we expected. Cocktails and breakfast were delicious. The small pool with hot water was a pleasant surprise.

They charged us the Booking commission at check-in. That is something between them and Booking that should not be charged to the guest. In our haste we let it be. Keep this in mind and ask about it before booking.

The location was close to town and the bus stop to Quito is less than 10min walking distance. The staff were so warm and accommodating. I didn't want to leave. The room was as per described in the description. The TV has Netflix already set up so you can enjoy some entertainment. This came in handy for me as the only day I had for activities was a wet one, so I stayed in and loved every minute. Not sure what previous people were complaining about with the breakfast. It was a good balanced breakfast enough to keep me full all day and the juice was fresh made. I didn't like egg yolks and the staff went out of their way to make my eggs differently the next morning. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the accommodation. It is a shame I didn't get to try the pool.

Great location in Mindo, walking distance from the main square. Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Definitely value for money.

1) Breaskfast is served from 8 am, which I find late. However, I was provided fruit, juice, and bread to take with me whenever I had to leave the hotel early, for example, on a birding tour departing at 5 a.m. 2) I was initially in a room where the water from the shower would go out of the bathroom as the shower floor was level with the bathroom floor. Then, I was offered a much nicer room with spectacular views. However, this time, the shower struggled to get hot water. Twice, I had to leave the hotel without showering.

Outstanding hosts, wonderful food. Having the pool and hot tub was an added bonus. The coconut rimmed Pina Colada is the star. Best guacamole and masa fried plantains. Great breakfast with wonderful coffee and freshly made juice. The bed was firm but very comfortable. Lovely pillows for sleeping. The wifi was very good. Lots of seating and even a hammock. Close to the square and to the Yellow House nature trails. Music played nightly in the pool/bar area until around 10-11 at night, and even though we went to bed early, the music was happy and didn't stop us from falling right to sleep. Highly recommend

The outdoor hallway lights make it feel like daylight in the room even late at night. Maybe add some black out curtains? We still slept well,but it could be a problem for someone who cannot sleep unless it's very dark.

The onsite manager and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful during my stay. They are definitely Posada de Mindo's greatest asset. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Staff assisted me with tours.

Other guests were blasting music poolside, and had to shout over the music to be heard. The noise carried up into my room, encroaching on my quiet enjoyment of the hotel. The manager did shut down the party so that the other hotel guests could rest.

Pool was a nice temperature. Very clean place and very close to town.

Wish there was a bit more flexibility about the time/content of breakfast.

Clean, well run, friendly staff.

Too many dogs outside and loud. Noise levels of neighbors and their music was too loud during quiet hours.

the location is perfect, close to everything. But the hospitality is amazing. The owner is so nice and caring! She made an amazing breakfast for me every day and brought me tea during the day.
