It is a unique place to stay. It is a village of bamboo houses by the river. It was really cheap and was worth it. They have a plan to expand the village, which means that it may be more expensive to stay there in the future.

We arrived late and we only met the security who didn’t speak English very well. We had been trying to call them multiple times during the day to inform them that we were going to arrive late, but nobody was answering, which stressed us. We stayed in the villa. The room in the first floor has glass doors, but the room in the second floor is totally open which may be an issue for someone, concerning the villa is in the jungle.

Nowhere to hang clothes or towels in the bathroom Has a kettle but nowhere to plug it in Very dim bedroom light and no lamps so it was difficult to read at night. All lights were left on at the house next to ours all night - not very eco-friendly.

More than a hotel, it is a true retreat center for full disconnection and detox. Besides, as a hotel alone, it is amazing. It is all about nature, at the price that some bugs may enter the rooms, but not to make it a problem. The staff is amazing, all of them! They live and share the good vibes that place want people to get, and spread it to all the hosts.

It is a bit far and can take time to arrive, but this can be a plus if you want a place where to disconnect surrounded by nature.

This awesome Eco retreat is a bit off the beaten path, but that only adds to its charm. With a river running along side the villas there is an immediate feeling of relaxation. When you arrive you are greeted by the charming staff and a welcome drink (more of a detox elixir). The villas, entirely built with bamboo, are great for small groups with two rooms available, both with their own outdoor bathrooms! The beds are comfy and come with nets for bugs … did I mention you are nestled deep in the Balinese jungle? The included breakfast in the morning is delicious as well. Definitely recommend and hope to stay here again!!!

Our stay at Sun Sang Eco Retreat in Bali was truly an unforgettable experience. We stayed here for two days and were warmly welcomed upon arrival, leaving an immediate positive impression. Our villa was simply stunning and exuded serenity. The service we received was nothing short of perfect, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The staff was easily approachable and always ready to assist, making the overall experience highly enjoyable. The park surrounding Sun Sang Eco Retreat is breathtaking, providing an oasis of tranquility. Its location by the river truly added a touch of serenity to the atmosphere. The fact that they also took care of our laundry and provided delicious meals further alleviated any stress. We greatly appreciated the convenient option to order food through the Gojek app, which meant we could savor delicious meals within minutes. A highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing massage right on the premises. This was the icing on the cake for our relaxing retreat. Mimi, the adorable dog on the premises, was a delightful addition to the entire experience, bringing even more charm and friendliness. We wholeheartedly recommend Sun Sang Eco Retreat to anyone seeking peace and relaxation. The location exceeded our expectations, and it's true that the reality is even more beautiful than the photos. This was an entirely pleasant experience for us, and we look forward to returning for a repeat of this wonderful retreat.

Very good for meditation , close to the nature . If you like wild life and feeling that you live in the nature is the perfect place to stay . The stuff was very good and the breakfast delicious!!!

I can say for a night is a good experience. However is all made by bamboo and there are some holes , so we could listen to the tokay during the night and we were a bit afraid . There is a lot of humidity inside the rooms and the bedsheets, because is next to the river . Last one was not warm water during shower , I felt that the water was coming from the river .

What a truley beautiful place to stay! This place is magical, surrounded by nature and right on top of a river. The suites have everything you need and so many places to chill out, breakfast is delivered to you in the morning which again was lovely. The staff were so helpful and so friendly, collecting our luggage from the car and taking it to our room. We had dinner there too, which was delicious. Very clean, and authentic. It's quite a small peaceful retreat, so if your looking for a busy resort it's probably not the place for you! If you want a relaxing authentic beautiful tree house to stay in then it's perfect!

Location is good. 9 rating just for the hospitality and the location as I just wanted some alone time in the woods with a river flowing sound to relax and enjoy reading a book while sipping on some spirits. The team is amazing, beautiful and kind people. Always ready to help.

Nothing to do around tabanan as it's a remote location far way from everything. So if you just want to relax and don't want to do any activity it's good but think before you book as it's a very remote location and sometimes it's even hard to get a grab. No money exchanger nearby. The bed sheets and bed curtains had stains of food and was not changed.

1. The location is not easily accessible by the taxi, that's why you should book your taxi early on. 2. No staff after 7pm, except the security guard. 3. The 4 or 5 rats running around my room, especially at night. 4. My time was not enough. 🙈

Sun sand Eco village is incredible beautiful and very well treated. The nature and the villas are incredibly helpful well made. They are still in a work in progress/process on Eco subject. When I arrived couldn't find anyone, was very peaceful, then there was a board with the names of the people that were going to check in that day with the time and the room names (that was cute!) Breakfast was okay, really liked the morning staff before I left but the staff that welcomed me we're not very talkative and I felt not very supportive. Was raining a lot and literally I felt like I was camping :) because it was like if I was part of the nature. You can hear everything , water from the little river , animals. Was also full moon! The villa (she'll 1) was close to the lobby and you can have your privacy from the other villas.

There is a dog and 2 cats walking around and the cats like to stay next to the villas or sometimes in the villas trying to get your breakfast. Got really low wifi, couldn't use it. A bit isolated if you are on your own, gotta have own transport so you can enjoy more around. Old towels, one of them was torn in holes Also, the Employees do not read the messages in the booking that we send messages to ask anything.
