The room we had was very large and beautiful. Loved the vaulted roof. Location was excellent, right on Monkey forest road. Pool was very clean and inviting. Landscaping and decor around property was beautiful! Breakfast was a bit limited but excellent! Our server Yantra Librha was excellent!!!!

The first day I took advantage of their happy hour for red wine. It seems I drank the last 2 glasses in their only bottle of red wine that they advertise for happy hour. Everyday I would ask if they received any delivery of the red wine and the answer was no. Had to go out and enjoy our red wine at other locations. They need to keep better inventory of wine selections for their guests especially when advertising happy hour.

The location is very good, super close to monkey forest and with monkey visit every day, which my daughter loved! The breakfast daily has a good variety, and the fruit platter left in the room each day was amazing!

The hotel was going thru renovations; the main pool was very noisy with renovations and wasn't than inviting because of this. The hotel is very dark; the pool chairs were really uncomfortable. For the price comparing with other villas not sure if it is worth it. Location is great though. Also the private pool receives very little sun, so the pool is quite cold. Another thing to move the luggage is super hard with very uneven floor surfaces.

We came here as part of our honeymoon and it's been our favourite hotel that we've ever been too. They had a huge bouquet of flowers in the room to congratulate us on our honeymoon when we arrived which was so thoughtful. We had a very large room number 12, with a big private pool and that was such a treat, we could have spent the whole holiday just at our own pool. The breakfast menu is very generous, there is a lot to pick from and one of us is vegan and they were extremely accommodating. There was mosquito spray and coils for use outside in the room. The staff put freshly cut fruit in the fridge every day and dropped off snacks in the evening and would have the lights in our room turned on for us if we got back when it was dark. A family of monkeys lives beside the hotel so we were treated to a private show on a few occasions which was incredible. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the middle of everything in Ubud and the staff were very kind. We stayed for 6 nights and wished we had booked longer. We hope to come back to stay here in the future.

It was not a problem for us but the room we stayed in was a bit of a walk back from the entrance of the hotel, it's actually a lovely walk through beautiful plants and statues so we didn't mind because it was very quiet but there was steep steps before our room so if you have mobility issues it would be better to ask for a room closer to the front. The staff will help you with your luggage though and are extremely impressive how they carry cases on their backs.

Great resort right in the beating heart of Ubud, Monkey Forest Rd. Staff were helpful, breakfast was varied and tasty, rooms were very comfortable. We were right at the back of the resort which was blissfully peaceful and serene, the local roosters were the only welcome noise. Just be mindful if you have mobility issues as we got a good work out up and down the stairs and through the long resort-you may need a room closer to reception if not as mobile. We had a one bed pool villa. The pool was tiny and there was no greenery around it like in the photos (our room is a new room). The pool was very refreshing and we appreciated the privacy & luxury of our own pool. Staff were great, Mustika was very friendly and cleaned our room daily with an evening turn down service. We really enjoyed the location and the whole vibe of the resort and would recommend, made especially lovely by the Mamma cat and her kittens who slept on every available surface and enjoyed a scratch! Also we had a late flight that night and appreciated the late check out.

I loved my stay at Barong! From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough to help us. Some of the best hospitality I’ve received throughout the world. Friendly smiles and greetings, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I unfortunately got quite ill with Bali Belly and the staff very kindly assisted with finding medical care to the hotel. Not only this, they came and checked on me throughout the day and days after to ensure my wellbeing. They provided me with fresh ice and toast at no charge just to help as I was so sick I couldn’t keep anything else down. I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was luxury! The massive bath tub overlooking our private pool and courtyard was such a delight. I appreciated the touches of including bath products! The aircon was nice and cold, there was also a nice big fridge to keep drinks cool. I appreciated that everyday we were provided a fruit plate and snacks in the evening. We had a few families of monkeys visit our villa everyday and they were so cute! Although one monkey did let itself into the villa!! After that we kept the door locked! I will be booking this accom next time I come to Ubud. Excellent location, walkable to art market and really, anything! Also very quiet (when monkeys aren’t there)

The only negative for me was that the bed was a bit too firm for my liking. Also, if you are scared of monkeys this isn’t the property for you as we had many families of monkeys at the villa every morning and afternoon. The monkeys would run across the roof which was quite loud but not a massive deal. As mentioned the monkeys did let themselves into our unlocked villa; we were able to shoo them out though! It was wonderful to see the monkeys though - I never felt unsafe.

Excellent location closer to all the main attractions and still very calm and quite when within the resort. It’s a huge property with so much open spaces and greenery all around. The 2 bedroom pool villa we booked was very comfortable and spacious with a cute pool and en-suite bath and bath tub. Very good and helpful staff who smiled all along and were ready to assist. Definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

The breakfast could be a bit better like a buffet with changing options as the one served was a set menu option although what was served was of amazing quality.

The hotel is located in central Ubud, very close to monkey forest, ridge campuhan and Ubud palace. There are so many dining options around, and many shops selling everything. The area ia very vibrant, but the villa was very calm. The staff is very welcoming and the breakfast was awesome.

Monkeys crossing from the monkey forest make some noise in the early morning. You can see them from the villa, but they are not harmful. The traffic is heavy in the area.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, nothing was ever a problem. The bungalow was lovely with comfortable bed, bottled water, small fridge and all expected condiments. The daily fruit platter and nuts were handy for snacks. The resort is close walking distance to everything and drivers and tours can be organised through there or a few doors down. Food there is impecable and good price, local and International food. The pool is cool and set amongst tranquil tropical gardens. There is a massage therapist on site. NYE celebrations were fabulous, so much delicious food and cocktails. Good English is spoken by most staff.

When Bali Taco have their bands, the music is very loud and sounds like they are in the room. We decided to join them! The shower curtain doesnt go all the way around the trough so water leaks, be careful of slippery tiles. No Wifi for a few days but not the fault of the resort, a cable was cut in Ubud somewhere.

Room was really big, clean and tidy, hotel is located right in the center of Ubud, make it very easy if you want to go for food, shopping or rent a scooter. Also really close from Ubud Market and the Monkey Forest. All the staff were really nice and kind, always smiling and they would always help you and even give you advice on activities to do in Ubud. Breakfast was amazing, lot of different choices. Their restaurant is also very good !!

The only problem we had was that the remote for the AC in the room wasn’t working properly, we couldn’t turn off or AC or changes the setting so the room would feel really cold after a day outside. But keep in mind that the night are very hot so you need AC at night.
